Javier walked toward his personal workshop, nodding politely as the household maids bowed to him and the patrolling guards saluted. He kept walking, his steps steady and purposeful, until his personal workshop building came into view, standing next to the pekko pen.
In front of the open courtyard, a huge orange pekko was sprawled out, sunbathing lazily, his feathers gleaming under the morning light. Buddy's eyes were half-closed, his body completely relaxed as he soaked in the warmth.
Buddy tilted his head the moment he noticed Javier approaching. He stood up slowly, stretching his wings with a lazy flap before letting out a cheerful squawk.
"Cuquawked!"
"Oh. Morning, my mischievous orange menace~ Looks like you woke up early today, huh?"
Buddy bobbed his head, a smug smirk curling on his beak as he puffed his chest out with pride.
