Chapter 19 - Collective Dreams

Even with a telekinetic shield supporting them, walking through the harsh environment was a chore for Tien and Chiaotzu.

"At last, we are here."

When they finally arrived at their hideout, which was a large cave system, Tien cheered happily.

Waiting for him were his recruited subordinates; they had all made it in one piece thanks to Chiaotzu and Yamcha.

"Hello everyone, I am glad to see you safe."

Tien greeted everyone while secretly searching for his girlfriend; his eyes paused at a head full of blonde hair.

Smiling happily, Tien opened his arms and caught Launch, who had jumped into his arms without hesitation.

"Tien! I missed you."

Launch rubbed her cheek on Tien's face. Grabbing a capsule out of her pocket, she then showed it to Tien.

"I found the treasure; it was a big pile of gold and silver, and it's stored in this capsule."

"It was hard to get it all out of the collapsed cave, but I did it with some dynamite."

Launch proudly displayed her achievements; using hot weapons and stealing treasure were her specialties.

Giving her this task was the correct choice; there is no better person than her for this job. Tien was also happy their money problem was solved.

"Lord Tien, having treasure is good, but we have more pressing issues."

Chappa coughed and interrupted the couple; when Tien paid attention to him, he pointed outside the cave.

"We expected harsh climate conditions, but this is impossible to survive in."

"Even a strong man like yourself was defeated by this storm."

"Is it really possible to live here, much less build the Kingdom we are hoping for?"

Chappa asked with hesitation; he was Tien's minister and was responsible for pointing out important issues.

This place did not seem capable of supporting anyone; he needed to know if Tien wanted to continue struggling here, or look for a new place.

Tien understood Chappa's concerns, so he decided to ask their resident expert, the Kingdom's chief scientist, Pilaf.

"Pilaf, you saw how bad the weather conditions here are. Is it possible to build anything in this place?"

Being called out by his boss, Pilaf looked up from the notebook that he had been scribbling in.

"Of course I can build things here! Who do you think I am? This stupid storm won't beat me again."

"Our plane crashed because I didn't know how harsh this place could be, but I have done the calculations now."

"As long as we make the buildings more aerodynamic, we can totally build a kingdom here."

Pilaf showed the notebook page he had been scribbling in; it was filled with wind speed and drag calculations.

Chappa rubbed his sweaty forehead after seeing these formulas; he didn't recognize this mystical language.

"Sir Pilaf, while I don't know about maths, I have practical experience of survival in the wild."

Chappa once again pointed outside.

"You promise that we can build things here, but how long will it take? Half a year? One year? Or more?"

"We don't have that kind of time. Speaking from experience, we cannot survive even a week in this place."

"We don't have proper survival resources, but our whole team is already here; we are in a difficult situation."

Hearing this, Pilaf was stumped; the fact that he had to care about these refugees didn't even cross his mind.

He truly did not care if any of these people lived or died, but now he was in Tien's team and must care about his citizens.

"I… I need at least a month to build solid structures here."

Pilaf bit his nails.

"Normally I could do this in a week; using a modified capsule house would work."

"But here I have to make modifications to the location itself; this will take time."

"We have to resist the wind as well; if there wasn't so much wind, I could do this faster."

"Shit, we can't even evacuate right now; are we going to starve to death here!?"

Knowing that they were in big trouble, the mood amongst the common folk became heavy and fearful.

Tien frowned tightly; he held Launch while thinking of a solution. He was the king, and it was time for him to step up.

"Relax, I am strong and won't let anyone die."

Tien assured everyone to calm their emotions.

"Pilaf, are you saying you can build faster if there was no wind?"

"Then Chiaotzu can help with his telekinesis, just like he had saved us from the storm."

"Do you think you can build things faster with his help?"

Tien's idea lit a bulb in Pilaf's brain; he had never thought about using supernatural power to make things easier.

That's why he missed Chiaotzu and his telekinesis; it was a game changer for this situation.

"Yes, Boss, telekinesis can help! How did I not think of this?"

Pilaf grabbed Chiaotzu's shoulders with a large smile.

"With your help, I can do this faster; you will help me set up temporary windless zones."

"I will design and set up the capsule houses in those places."

"Then boss Tien will destroy a few mountains; doing this permanently will redirect the wind somewhere else."

"That's it; we can finish everything in three days. I will raise a kingdom the likes of which nobody has seen before."

Pilaf was laughing maniacally. He quickly scribbled the design of the Triclops empire and showed it to everyone.

Tien, Chappa, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Launch gathered around and gasped while looking at the empire's sketch.

A massive kingdom surrounded by walls stood in the center of the mountains; its buildings were smooth, and the natural winds circled the empire like it's guardian.

And in the very center of the empire stood a castle, with the three-eyed Triclops flag fluttering at the peak.

"This is marvelous; it's just a picture, but I can already feel its presence."

Chappa marveled.

"Yeah, looks like our kingdom will be super rich."

Launch smiled happily.

"Maybe our Kingdom will invent hair revitalizers."

Chiaotzu muttered.

"I hope this place attracts tons of hot women."

Yamcha rubbed his chin.

"All your wishes will come true, for this is going to be my empire."

Tien raised his hand and pointed above.

"Let's go, everyone; we will stop only after we are done making the world of our collective dreams."
