Chapter 237 - Chapter 52: Darkened Madara

Shocked!

When Deidara and Guy arrived on the moon aboard the clay warship, they initially assumed their opponent would be Moryo. However, halfway through their journey, they encountered a white snake.

At first, they thought the enemy had changed to the White Snake Sage. But upon landing, they were instead met with a "darkened" Uchiha Madara.

And he really had darkened—absorbing Moryo's power, his Susanoo had turned black.

Oh, wait. That wasn't quite right.

Madara no longer used Susanoo in its traditional form. Instead, he had infused its power into the White Snake Sage.

Majestic White Snake Sage—officially entering the battlefield!

"Deidara, what now?" Guy asked, feeling somewhat at a loss.

Deidara shrugged. "We fight, obviously."

There was no room for negotiation with Uchiha Madara. After all, he was intent on carrying out the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan, trapping the entire world in an illusion.

"Oh? It's you two?" Madara's gaze swept over them, his expression tinged with mild surprise.

Regardless of anything else, the fact that they had made it to the moon was proof of their considerable strength.

"You two think you can stop me?"

"Of course—unless you abandon the Infinite Tsukuyomi."

Like that was ever going to happen.

Deidara's three mouths started chewing rapidly while he silently retreated behind Guy.

"Guy, buy me some time."

"Got it!" Guy nodded solemnly.

And another thing—who would have thought that the moon had breathable air? Convenient.

"Eight Gates—open!"

Once again, the terrifying blood-red steam erupted. This time, Guy had no reservations. Since he was in Edo Tensei form, he could use the Eighth Gate without consequence.

"The Eighth Gate? Then I'll grant you a chance to dance!" Madara stood his ground, allowing Guy to launch his attack.

"Evening Elephant!" Guy roared, charging in.

But something moved even faster than him—their clay warship.

Built to traverse space, it was massive in scale. With a deafening explosion, all its cannons fired at once, launching a massive clay projectile the size of a Tailed Beast.

Hiss!

The White Snake Sage flicked its tongue, its long, black-armored tail lashing out with pinpoint precision to strike the clay projectile mid-air.

The sheer force of the clash shook the ground, reducing several nearby mountain peaks to dust.

Yet, despite its overwhelming power—enough to obliterate a Tailed Beast—the attack failed to leave even a scratch on the White Snake Sage.

It retracted its tail, preparing to retaliate against the airborne warship. But before it could, a long-distance air cannon struck from the side, momentarily halting its movements.

With a loud impact, Guy's Evening Elephant slammed into the black armor just short of the White Snake Sage's weak spot, causing a ripple-like distortion. However, it wasn't enough to break through.

"Second Step!"

"Third Step!"

"Fourth Step!"

"Fifth Step!"

Undeterred, Guy continued his assault, delivering four consecutive air cannon strikes to the same spot.

Evening Elephant was incredibly powerful—each punch carried an attack strength at the peak of pseudo-Six Paths level. However, their opponent was simply too strong. Even after taking all those hits, it remained unscathed.

"To think you could crack my Susanoo—you're quite something." Madara stood with his arms crossed, glancing at the White Snake Sage's weak point. For a brief moment, a small gap had appeared in the black armor, but it swiftly repaired itself.

No real damage had been done.

"And you? What makes you worthy of dancing?" Having acknowledged Guy, Madara now turned his gaze to Deidara.

Deidara's three mouths ceased their chewing simultaneously.

He spat out three different clay creatures.

"C4 Enhanced: Deathwing!"

"C4 Enhanced: Leviathan!"

"C4 Enhanced: Eight-Headed Serpent!"

A fearsome dragon of destruction, a mysterious deep-sea ruler, and a mighty eight-headed serpent—together covering land, sea, and sky. These three were Deidara's greatest creations yet.

"Guy! Wait for the right moment to use Night Guy!"

At Deidara's command, Deathwing took the lead. It dived at high speed, wings outstretched, razor-sharp talons extending as it swooped down like an eagle hunting a snake.

The White Snake Sage lashed out again, its tail striking with such force that it severed a mountain in two. If it landed a direct hit on Deathwing, it wouldn't end well.

That's when Leviathan intervened.

Though there was no water here, it didn't matter—it was still a force to be reckoned with.

Dozens of massive clay tentacles sprouted from its body, each over a thousand meters long and covered in dense barbs. Once they latched on, escape was nearly impossible.

The White Snake Sage's tail met the tentacles in a violent clash. Though the tentacles failed to pierce the black armor, they successfully restrained its movements, causing it to momentarily stumble.

With its balance disrupted, the White Snake Sage's head slammed into the ground—just in time for Deathwing's talons to strike.

With a deafening crash, dust filled the air.

Seizing the opportunity, the massive clay Eight-Headed Serpent lunged forward, pressing down on the White Snake Sage. Though the three clay beasts were smaller in size, their coordinated assault successfully pinned the monstrous serpent for the moment.

"Guy! Now!" Deidara shouted from within his ring.

He had no illusions about these clay beasts securing a victory. After all, Madara had surpassed even the Six Paths level—his strength was unfathomable.

"Night Guy!"

The blood-red, ferocious dragon reappeared, maw wide open, targeting Uchiha Madara atop the White Snake Sage.

"Now this… this actually excites me!" Madara's Rinnegan locked onto Guy. Extending his hand, a fresh layer of black armor enveloped his position.

Clearly, he was taking this more seriously.

"Night Guy!"

Red and black clashed.

Spear versus shield.

The blood-red dragon sank its fangs into the domineering black armor, the ensuing shockwaves tearing across the moon's surface, creating violent storms.

But the final move wasn't over yet.

Seizing the momentary deadlock, Deidara tossed out a small clay sphere. Above, the clay warship began its descent. The three clay beasts started glowing—ready to detonate.

"Art is an explosion!"

"Ha!"

Endless light and heat erupted.

A cataclysmic shockwave, powerful enough to obliterate everything in its wake. Within the blast radius, Deidara could no longer gauge the explosion's magnitude—he simply couldn't see it all.

But from the Ninja World below, everyone saw it clearly.

The moon suddenly flared with a brilliance rivaling the sun. The explosion's dust cloud was so immense that the moon itself appeared to grow larger.

Gulp.

Everyone watching swallowed hard, hope surging in their hearts.

After an explosion like that, surely—even against this enemy—it had to be over, right?
