The "cuckoo" metaphor of the Moonset Glaze was truly a heavy thought for Wang Qi.
Among all parasitic methods, "nest parasitism" isn't considered the most brutal. At least, compared to parasitic wasps that lay their eggs inside others and consume the host completely before maturing, it isn't much. Yet, "nest parasitism" can still be called cruel.
Using their beak and claws, they puncture the host's egg, causing it to fail to hatch and extending the host's incubation time; then, once out of the nest, they kill the host's young; they grow quickly, forcibly dominating most of the food the host provides, even exhausting the host to death... To the host, the parasite is more terrifying than a natural disaster.
And during this period, out of instinct, the host relentlessly nurtures the parasitic bird.
Perhaps that guy Zhao Qingfeng, or the personality once known as "Zhao Qingfeng" before awakening, was essentially just a busy "host"?
