Upon exiting the flying craft, Dunn made his way back to a safe house. He checked that each isolation mechanism he had manually set up was still properly activated. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief, reverting to the unremarkable Mr. Feng Xue, beginning to admire his new Kaidan.
In this world, he had obtained four Kaidans in total. Besides the accidentally born "Researching Ghost", the other three—"Atypical Streamer", "Ace Iron-blooded Tough Guy", and "Master of Ghost-catching"—were all part of his plan.
"Atypical Streamer" served as a mystic amulet, shielding him from various elusive mystic damages. "Ace Iron-blooded Tough Guy" acted as both a shield and an axe on the physical level. It granted him the ability to withstand deadly attacks (the tough are not fatally wounded) and wielded powerful real-world combat capabilities that prevented him from being overwhelmed by sheer size, as had happened previously with the giant Heavenly Dog.
