When the four police cars slowly approached the villa, Allen was a bit surprised to see that there were already two police cars parked outside.
Allen turned his head and glanced at Elvin; one of Elvin's hands had silently moved onto his handgun, but the security guard sitting next to him hadn't noticed any of this.
The security guard's attention was all on those police cars; he only now remembered that some cops had already come by at noon.
He was confused too: with police already here, how could there still be someone calling 911?
It never occurred to him that the cops by his side were all fakes, because there really had been a group of real police earlier; he just took it as someone playing a prank.
And the service standards in a high-end community didn't allow him to just make a decision without figuring things out in a situation like this; he had to make sure the owner was safe before he could leave.
