Ficool

Chapter 66 - Chapter 65: Drum Kingdom (III)

Oliver woke up startled and started looking around to see where he was.

'I'm still in the forest, where did Wapol go?'

He tried to get up, and when he looked beside him, there was a baby Lapahn watching him.

'Okay, this is a problem'

The Lapahn screamed, alerting the rest of the Lapahns.

"Shit!"

Oliver tried to get up, but he felt a great heaviness in his body that prevented him from doing so.

A giant Lapahn arrived, so Oliver was already expecting the worst, but the Lapahn just stared at him.

'This is weird, they should have attacked me by now. Could these be the ones Luffy saved?' Oliver thought upon seeing them. "Wapol, where is he?"

He asked them a question in case they really were the ones saved by Luffy.

The Lapahn struck a fighting pose, which reminded Oliver of the part in the manga where they saved Luffy.

"Did you defeat Wapol?" Oliver asked them, to which the Lapahns nodded. "Ha-ha-ha"

Oliver started laughing imagining Wapol being beaten by all the Lapahns after he had defeated Wapol's two servants.

"Hehehe, he deserves that for being such trash to Chopper"

He got up and looked at his arm, realizing he could feel it more.

"That's good... Thanks, rabbits"

Oliver left a piece of one of the dinosaurs as a sign of gratitude to the Lapahns for helping him with Wapol, and then left the place.

"Let's see, over there are the mountains, and on the other side is the village"

Oliver saw where the village was, so he started walking towards it, but stopped dead in his tracks.

"Wait a minute, there's that cable car where Wapol was going to go up; maybe if I find it I can head to the castle"

He ran towards the village to see where that was.

The rest of the crew helped Dalton get to a tree near the village of Gyasta, where the citizens had found a gigantic rope that went straight to Drum Castle.

"We're going up with this?" Zoro asked.

"That's right, but we need the cable car," Dalton said.

"We'll have it ready in no time, Dalton-san," said one of the citizens.

"I'll help you with that!" Elegg said, heading over to the cable car.

"Are you sure you want to go?" Zoro asked Dalton.

"I am the one who has to end this," Dalton said, leaning against the tree.

Elegg started checking the cable car's mechanism, where she noticed that a few gears were split in half.

"I think it'll take me a few minutes to fix it," Elegg said, taking a tool out of her bag and starting to repair it.

After a few minutes, the gears were fixed and put into the cable car, and they started getting on, with many citizens stepping inside.

"There are too many people in the cabin!" Usopp said.

"But we can't let Dalton fight alone!" said one of the citizens.

"We will fight with you!" said another.

"I understand, but with so many people it will take us longer to reach the top," Dalton said.

"Dalton-san, please don't overexert yourself," Vivi told him.

"Hey, you! Pedal faster!" Usopp ordered a citizen.

As they were going up, Dalton remembered everything that had happened under Wapol's rule.

"Power means nothing to me. How can you keep saying you are the King of this kingdom?!"

Dalton started coughing blood due to overexertion.

"I am going to end this painful tragedy once and for all," Dalton said, remembering a certain doctor. "What kind of government is this? What is wrong with giving your heart to the country?"

All the Straw Hats present paid attention to him when Dalton pulled a bunch of dynamite out of his coat.

"Listen everyone, when we get to the castle, I want everyone to step back," Dalton said.

Just then, a strange sound was heard, and then the entire cable car moved from side to side.

"What was that?!" said a citizen.

"Did something happen up top?" said another.

"H-Hey! How about you stop for a moment?!"

"That voice... Oliver?" Zoro said.

"Where are you?" Usopp said, checking around.

"Down here," Oliver replied.

They looked underneath, where Oliver was hanging from the cable car, holding on with his claws.

"What's up. Can you help me up?" Oliver said, looking down. "It's a little high"

"How do you get lost and end up down there?" Zoro asked, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him up.

"I get lost?!" Oliver said indignantly, managing to sit inside the cabin.

"Are you okay?" Usopp asked him.

"Of course, we just got attacked by some rabbits, got hit by a snow avalanche, got attacked by Wapol and his morons who I had to beat up, then I passed out, woke up surrounded by rabbits, and finally got here by jumping. I couldn't be better," Oliver said.

"Did you fight Wapol?" Dalton asked.

"Yes, although I couldn't fight Wapol directly, since the storm made that difficult," Oliver said.

"That wound doesn't look very good," Elegg said, seeing the bloody arm.

"It's because I got shot with an arrow, it's no big deal," Oliver said.

"And Luffy-san, Nami-san, and Sanji-san?" Vivi asked him.

"They have to be up there by now, and I think we can tell," Oliver said, looking towards the castle.

Just then, they saw something go flying out from the castle.

"How about you hurry up. There are some injured people here," Oliver said, making himself a bit more comfortable.

It took them quite a while to arrive, and they finally started getting off, with Zoro helping Oliver to stand up.

"I'll go see how everything is outside, you guys wait here," Usopp said all bravely.

He went towards the exit, but before stepping out, he got scared and backed away.

"H-How about someone else goes first..." Usopp said, frightened.

"Just move forward," Oliver said, kicking Usopp to make him advance.

Just then, a scream was heard, so they both looked up and saw Luffy heading straight towards them.

"Guys?" Luffy said.

"I knew I was forgetting something," Oliver said.

Unable to stop, Luffy crashed head-on into them.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Zoro yelled at him angrily.

"I thought you were one of them because you were wearing their clothes. So you climbed all the way up here to see us?" Luffy asked, laughing.

"You're shameless to be laughing," Oliver said.

"Oh, Oliver. What happened to you?" Luffy asked,

"Nothing, yeah I'm fine. I just can't get up," Oliver said, buried in the snow.

"Okay. So you really climbed the mountain?" Luffy asked.

"Are you kidding? For a man like me, that mountain is nothing. Or are you asking about that great adventure?" Usopp said, starting to tell a lie.

"We used a cabin to get up here," Vivi told him. "By the way, are Nami-san and Sanji-san okay?"

"Yes, they're fine," Luffy said.

"That's good to hear," Vivi said.

"Do you need help getting up?" Elegg asked Oliver.

"Maybe yes, or maybe no, I just want to rest. Besides, the snow feels incredible," Oliver said, resting.

"I guess it does," Elegg said, lying down in the snow.

"Anyway, what were you doing at the top of the castle?" Zoro asked.

"I was beating up that stupid King," Luffy said,

Upon hearing about Wapol, Dalton interrupted them.

"So, that thing that just went flying was Wapol?!" he asked Luffy. "What happened to the other two?"

"Oh! That reindeer took care of them," Luffy said. "Usopp, listen, we have a new nakama"

Usopp stopped telling his lie and stared at him.

"The reindeer took care of them?" Dalton wondered.

He looked towards one of the trees where Chopper was trying to hide, which reminded him of when Doctor Hiriluk died.

"Thank you very much!" Dalton thanked them, bowing his head. "I am sure that the Drum Kingdom will now become a better country"

The citizens saw Chopper, so they got scared and pointed their weapons at him.

"Don't do anything to him!" Dalton ordered them.

"Ahhh! A monster!" Usopp screamed in fear.

Upon hearing him, Chopper ran away.

"Idiot! He's our new nakama!" Luffy yelled at Usopp. "You made him run away! Wait!"

Chopper began to run away from Luffy, who followed him closely so that he would join the crew.

Meanwhile, Kureha ordered everyone to take the injured inside the castle, while Nami and Sanji were hiding, trying to figure out how to escape.

"Nami-san, should we let her heal us?" Sanji whispered to her.

"Quiet, we have to go now. We've lost two days getting here, and we still have to get to Alabasta," Nami whispered back.

"You two must go inside as well!!" Kureha yelled at them, breaking a wall. "And you!"

She pointed at Oliver.

"Take him inside too to check out that arm!" Kureha shouted.

The citizens obeyed and took everyone inside to be examined.
