Chapter 71 - Chapter 69: Plan in action.

At Alubarna's West Gate, the Baroque Works Agents were waiting for the crew's arrival under Crocodile's orders.

"Hey, hey, hey! Is this really gonna work?! Is this really gonna work?! The princess and the pirates are coming, right?! I can already hear the rebels shouting! Don't they want to stop them?!" said Miss Merry Christmas impatiently, stomping the ground repeatedly.

"There's a chance they won't arrive in time," said Miss Doublefinger.

"They're coming..." whispered Mr. 4 slowly, though no one heard him.

"After all, they lost a lot of time in Rainbase," Miss Doublefinger continued.

"Seriously?!" said Miss Merry Christmas.

"Let's say the rebellion starts first. What should we do then?" asked Mr. 2, confused.

"We won't do anything. Once the war starts, not even the princess will be able to stop it," said Miss Doublefinger.

"We just have to get rid of the people we were told to. Is that so hard for you to understand?" asked Mr. 1, provoking Mr. 2.

"Looks like you're just dying to test out my kenpo!" shouted Mr. 2, angry.

"Don't fight," said Miss Doublefinger, though she had no real intention of stopping them.

"My back! My back hurts! Mr. 4, give me a massage!" cried Miss Merry Christmas in pain.

"They're coming..." Mr. 4 repeated, and this time, everyone heard him.

"WHAT?! Why didn't you say something earlier, you lardball?!"

Miss Merry Christmas pushed him and looked through the binoculars at a group of ducks.

"Ducks?" she said, confused.

"Ducks? What do you mean, Miss Merry Christmas?" asked Miss Doublefinger.

"There are more of them now, aren't there? There are six. The list had five, not counting Mugiwara, right?" asked Miss Merry Christmas.

"You're wrong, Miss Merry Christmas. Didn't you hear what the boss said? That Mr. Prince guy was missing too. He said there was more than one, so we don't know the exact number," said Miss Doublefinger.

"It doesn't matter how many there are now. Our only target is Vivi. Why are you so nervous?" said Mr. 1.

"Look! The rebel army is already in sight! There are so many! The princess is a complete idiot if she thinks she can stop them. But that idiot is coming from another direction. How vague!" said Mr. 2 excitedly as he watched both forces approach.

"Mr. 1... you're saying we just need to get rid of Vivi? Then... which one of them is Vivi?" asked Miss Merry Christmas, since all of them were wearing the exact same cloak, making it impossible to tell which was Vivi.

The six ducks were speeding toward them, and since they couldn't tell which one was Vivi, they attacked, causing the group to split into three separate directions—so the agents did the same.

Thus, the six agents ran after the ducks, even into the capital, each determined to kill Vivi no matter what. But suddenly, the ducks came to a stop. With Mr. 2, the first duck stopped when it saw the other two halt.

"Hahaha! Thanks for following us this far," said Usopp in a feminine voice.

"What?!" said Mr. 2, surprised.

Elsewhere in the capital—

"Stop! Stop! How clever of you! You're right, I'm Princess Vivi!" said Nami, lying.

"What are you talking about?! I'm Princess Vivi," said Zoro, embarrassed, while Mr. 1 remained silent.

And outside the capital, in the southern zone—

"Will this spot do? I'm surprised you actually fell for this trap. Alright. Let's show them who we are!" said Sanji, removing his cloak along with Chopper.

And just like that, everyone revealed their identities at the same time.

"Sorry, but you're all wrong!" they all said at once.

"What?!" shouted the agents, each surprised in their respective locations.

"A CAMEL?! HEY, IT'S YOU!" said Mr. 2 when he saw Usopp with Matsuge.

"Hehehe, Oliver, attack him!" said Usopp as he hid behind Matsuge—but Oliver wasn't there. "SORRY!"

Meanwhile, Oliver was leaping between buildings, heading straight toward his target.

'Sorry for leaving you alone, Usopp, but you won't die even if you fight him. First, I have to take care of the bomb and the two agents guarding it.'

Using Geppo, he picked up speed, observing the streets of Alabasta and noticing that there wasn't a single person around.

'I don't remember if it was mentioned, but I guess they evacuated all non-combatants to avoid civilian casualties.'

He looked ahead and finally saw his goal.

'There it is...' thought Oliver, looking at the clock.

Just then, a building came flying at him, and he destroyed it with a kick. But as he did, a harpoon pierced his shoulder.

"What the hell is this?!"

He noticed the harpoon had a rope attached, and before he could remove it, something—or someone—pulled him, slamming him into several buildings.

"Ouch… what the hell was that?" said Oliver, holding his head.

He grabbed the harpoon and tried to store it in his inventory to avoid further injury—but it didn't work.

'Why isn't it working?' Oliver thought, just as he felt something tugging the rope, so he decided to pull it out manually.

The harpoon flew back to its owner.

"Why couldn't I put it in my inventory?" he asked himself.

[Due to strength]

"Strength?" Oliver asked, confused.

"Hey, how are you still in such good shape?"

A thin, haggard-looking man in very loose clothing approached Oliver.

'To complete the mission, there are 11 Baroque Works members left to defeat,' thought Oliver, staring at the man he assumed had attacked him. "I'm guessing you're Mr. 6."

"You know me?" said Mr. 6, confused.

"No, but I know who the others are, and I haven't seen you before," said Oliver as he stood up and looked around. 'If this guy is Mr. 6, then Miss Mother's Day must be nearby. I need to finish this quickly before she shows up.'

Oliver charged at Mr. 6, hoping to knock him out with a single blow—but Mr. 6 had the same idea. The moment their fists clashed, Oliver was sent flying backward, smashing through another building.

"I don't think anyone's hit me that hard since I got here," said Oliver, lying on the ground, his hand trembling. "Is he really that strong with that skinny body, or does he have a Devil Fruit that gives him that strength?"

Oliver stood up and stared at his enemy.

"Doesn't matter. I've got to take him down and deal with that bomb. Now, where is she?"
