Chapter 75 - Chapter 72: The Death of God and the Birth of Thunder

"What a weak god."

Storm retracted his fist. Seeing the [Death Trophy] leap out in front of him, he shook his head.

The reason he had unleashed his full power with the "100x Armed Clay Giant Fist" was not just because he worried an ordinary punch wouldn't defeat Enel. He was more concerned that a weaker attack would simply drive Enel away.

For a "Lightning Man" with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, if he focused solely on escaping, Storm would be helpless. His 100x Speed was fast, but it couldn't outrun light. If Enel abandoned Skypiea, Storm's entire plan would be ruined.

But the result was unexpected. The power of the extreme punch was excessive. Enel couldn't withstand it and went straight to hell.

"Even Dorry and Brogy took a punch better than this."

Storm walked over to Enel's corpse. "This must be because Enel didn't train hard enough."

He held his breath, clearing his mind.

[Item: Devil Ring - Activate!]

Under the pull of the Devil Ring, the demonic power remaining in Enel's corpse slowly gathered. It swirled toward a fruit Storm held in his hand.

As time passed, the fruit changed dramatically.

The skin turned a dazzling golden yellow. The smooth flesh morphed, growing jagged, lightning-bolt-shaped spikes. Mysterious arabesque spirals appeared on the surface.

It was the fruit recorded in the encyclopedia as "Invincible."

[Logia: Rumble-Rumble Fruit (Goro Goro no Mi)]

Before joining the SWORD unit and acquiring the Clay-Clay Ring, one of Storm's dreams was to obtain a sufficiently powerful Devil Fruit. The Rumble-Rumble Fruit was at the top of that list.

Its destructive power and mobility were unparalleled. It even enhanced Observation Haki range—something almost no other fruit could do.

The dream fruit now rested quietly in his palm.

'Honestly, I'm tempted to eat it...'

Storm stared at the fruit. Eating it would grant him the power permanently without the ring, but he had chosen his path. He relied on the Rings.

"Never mind. Stick to the plan."

Storm took a deep breath and suppressed the urge.

He summoned the [Diamond Trophy] he had obtained from Hanafuda (the Lizard King). It granted one wish.

"I wish for a Fourth Devil Ring."

[System Alert: Wish Granted]

[Item Acquired: Devil Ring - Mimicry]

A new ring appeared. Storm immediately used it to absorb the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. The fruit in his hand turned gray and crumbled to dust as its essence was transferred into the band.

Storm summoned his remaining three Platinum Trophies (from Brogy, Dorry, and Hanafuda's first defeat).

"Upgrade."

He dumped the trophies into the ring.

PING! PING! PING!

Half-star to Five Stars. Five Stars to Six Stars.

> [Rumble-Rumble Fruit: ★★★★★★ (6-Stars - Awakened)]

In less than a few seconds, Storm had gained a brand new, awakened Logia power.

"Cheers!"

Storm donned the [Rumble-Rumble Ring]. His body dissolved into electricity, darting wildly through the temple ruins at lightning speed.

"I've never felt so wonderful!"

Although his Clay-Clay Ring allowed him to turn into clay (Special Paramecia), the fluidity of a true Logia like lightning was on a different level.

He stopped, materializing back into human form.

"Six stars... it's still a bit low compared to my main ability."

He checked his status panel.

* [Clay-Clay Fruit: ★★★★★★★ (7-Stars)]

* [More-More Fruit: ★★★★★★ (6-Stars)]

* [Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit: ★★★★★★ (6-Stars)]

* [Rumble-Rumble Fruit: ★★★★★★ (6-Stars)]

The 7-Star Clay ability dominated the list.

'I want to upgrade the Speed and Lightning rings, but I need more Diamond Trophies to upgrade the rings themselves to 9-Star capacity first.'

Storm decided to wait. He turned his attention to the [Blood Diamond Trophy] he had just obtained from killing Enel.

This trophy could be used for stats and a wish.

'I have the ultimate offense and speed now. I need to balance it.'

He invested the trophy into his Haki.

> [Armament Haki: ★★★★★★★ (7-Stars)]

"All high-level trophies used up. I need to hunt more."

Storm closed the panel. "First, let's digest the boost."

He raised his right hand. Clay surged from the ground, shaping itself into a tall, muscular figure with a crescent moon mustache.

Clay Clone: Edward Newgate (Whitebeard).

Storm stepped forward, his fist crackling with his newly acquired lightning.

BOOM!

He shattered the silence with thunder, sparring against the strongest man in the world (or at least, a mud copy of him).

Location: Hidden Cloud Village (Shandian Settlement)

Thunder roared in the distance, but it sounded... different.

In the streets of the hidden village, a five-year-old girl in a yellow dress sprinted through the mud.

"Wiper! Wiper!"

"What's wrong with Aisa?" The villagers muttered. "Did she run off to God's Island again?"

Aisa ignored them. She burst into the Shandian Guerrilla tent.

"Aisa?" Laki, a female warrior, caught the breathless girl. "You're sweating. Did you go near the ruins? It's dangerous!"

"Laki..." Aisa gasped, her eyes wide with shock.

"I can't hear Enel's voice anymore! It's gone!"

"What?" Laki froze.

"I'm not lying!" Aisa shouted. "His voice completely disappeared! Just now!"

"The thunder out there... it's coming from someone else. Someone who doesn't feel human... no, it feels like... something else entirely."

Aisa struggled to describe Storm's aura—a mix of human soul and the multiple "Demons" (Rings) he carried.

"Enel is gone. Really gone!"

Aisa took a deep breath and screamed at the sky.

"ENEL! YOU BIG BAD GUY!"

"AISA!"

Laki tackled the girl, covering her mouth and rolling away from the entrance. She waited for the Divine Judgment. Everyone knew Enel could hear everything. Disrespect meant death.

Seconds passed.

The sky remained clear. No lightning struck.

"He... didn't strike?" Laki looked up, trembling.

"What is going on?"

Wiper, the leader of the Shandian Guerrillas, stormed out of the tent, his Burn Bazooka strapped to his back.

"Wiper!" Laki stood up. "Aisa says Enel's voice vanished. And she just cursed him, but no judgment came."

Wiper's eyes narrowed. He looked at the little girl.

"Aisa. Swear on the Great Warrior Calgara. Is it true?"

"I swear!" Aisa shouted. "Enel is gone!"

Wiper took a deep breath. He looked toward the Shrine of God.

"I NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED HIM AS GOD ANYWAY!"

He shouted it. A challenge. Still no lightning.

"Guerrillas!" Wiper roared, clenching his fists. "Follow me to the Island of God!"
