Chapter 488 - Undergarments II

(Third Person POV)

"Are you serious?" Mya asked with a frown, "Again?"

She was sitting across from Maegelle, taking a sip from her cup of tea. Maegelle had informed Mya of what she had seen.

Maegelle nodded, "Yes." she said, "I am sure it happened yet again. the night prior, in fact. I found some undergarments on his floor."

Mya sighed, "That foolish boy." She said as she set the cup down, "She is stressing me out. I tell you...if it were just him, I would still have a difficult time with Motherhood. But fortunately, Sylas isn't the same and the rest of the children are manageable."

Maegelle looked down, "He was being very cold to me." She said softly, "It wounded my heart. That was not the sweet boy that I helped raise."

Mya scowled, "He did what?" She said, "Oh, that little shit. I'll give him a good scolding, don't worry about a thing."

"There's no need to make a scene about it, it's fine." Maegelle smiled, "I just wish my boys don't treat me that way. Riktor means well, I know he cares for me. It's just that this worries me, Mya. He is so young and doing something like this is reckless, even for a Son of Drakken."

Mya nodded, "You are right about that." She said, "I will have to find the woman who he had last night and I have to tell her not to see him again. We need to protect him, Maegelle. Drakken made that law specifically because of what happened."

"I know." Maegelle said, "And the undergarments didn't look like a servant's....or at least, they looked to be of better fabric."

"Hm.....what color were they?" Mya asked

Maegelle got a bit flustered, "Well..." She scratched her cheek, "Black and red. Some regal patterns....good fabric, honestly....."

"Hm....." Mya said, "Definitely not a servant's...black and red.....Jocelyn received a lot of clothes from Lord Drakken. I remember her wearing black and red undergarments."

Maegelle gasped, "Y-You don't think....!"

"No." Mya said, shaking her head, "No, I highly doubt it. Jocelyn's urges have completely died down, she would never do that. At least, I hope not."

Maegelle placed her hand on her chin, "I....I just don't think who could it be....besides the servants...." She said softly, "What....who is it?"

Mya was in deep thought, thinking of the possibilities, when she widened her eyes slightly.

"Hm....." She said as she stood up, "If I recall, Astorias ran into Riktor in the woods, near the God's Eye, right?"

Maegelle looked at her, "Yes." She said, "She did say that."

Mya turned around, "I have to go and check something." She said, "Excuse me."

"Oh. Right." Maegelle said, a bit confused

Mya walked out of the room, leaving her alone.

*****************

Mya was in Riktor's room, scanning the area. She saw that the servants had come and cleaned it. They had strict instructions to do so when Riktor was out training or when he was in deep slumber.

She walked over to the bed, seeing that it was already made, the sheets straightened out, and everything in its immediate area was cleaned.

"Hm...." She said as she looked over to the nightstand, seeing a dagger on it, "What's this?"

She walked over to it and picked the dagger up, recognizing it to be one that was crafted for a specific person. She ran her hand on the engravings of the sheath, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.

"You have to be joking." She said as she looked at the bed again, "No. That cannot be."

She walked over to the chairs and couch, as if looking for something, trying to spot something that the servants missed when cleaning.

She got on one knee, scanning the floor, as if she were in the wilderness, looking for tracks. Her eyes were focused on the stone floor, searching for any clues that could have been left in the room.

"Hm..." She said as she turned to look under the bed, "Oh."

She spotted something next to the leg of the bed, something the servants missed when cleaning. Mya then walked over to it, crouching down and reaching for what she saw and picked it up.

It was a long strand of white hair, being held between her index finger and thumb.

She narrowed her eyes, "Targaryen." She said softly, "Riktor...."

She took a sniff of the hair, seeing that it didn't have a particular scent to it.

"It's clearly not Saera nor Maegelle, that is out of the question. And it isn't their hair, since I don't smell perfume. If it were, it probably fell here whenever they come inside his room." Mya began to say aloud, "And Viserra...no.....it can't be.....she's the only one that isn't...no, it cannot be Viserra.....she wears a lavender perfume, one that Lord Drakken loves to smell off her. And she's a Maiden, The Dragon Maiden. Even if she wasn't, she belongs to him....."

She looked at the strand of hair, seeing that it was much longer than Astorias or Vaella's hair.

"It's not his sisters either..." Mya said softly, "Vaella doesn't go in his room, and Astorias's strands are much shorter. Perhaps the Twins, but no...they would be much shorter than the girls too..... That leaves one person..."

She noticed something else in the far corner of the room, something small and metallic. Walking over to it, Mya saw that it was a button with a small dragon engraving on it. She leaned down and picked it up, inspecting it closely.

The button was silver and had a specific dragon engraved on it, one that she recognized and hadn't seen in years because it was long dead.

"No..." She said with a bit of anger, "There is absolutely no way....."

She clenched the button in her hand as she raised the strand of hair in front of her, her eyes narrowed as she looked at it.

"Hm....." She said

"Mama Mya?" She heard a voice say

She turned to see Astorias walking up to her, "Astorias." She said, "What is it?"

Astorias looked around, "I am a bit bored, honestly." She said, "I don't see Riktor so I can beat him up and Vaella is spending time with Viktoria. Can we go hunting? I want to do something."

Mya looked at her, "Where is Riktor? Do you know?"

Astorias scratched her cheek, "Last I saw him, he was walking out into the woods." She said, "Papa told me I shouldn't venture out too much so I guess I'll stay. Unless we go hunting."

Mya smiled, "Of course." She said, "We can go later, alright? Have you eaten?"

She nodded, "Yup!"

"Okay." Mya said, "We can get ready in a bit, then."

Astorias noticed the strand of hair, "What's that?"

Mya shook her head, "Nothing." She said,

"Don't worry about it."
