The departure of several hundred people from the territory had quite a significant impact on the other residents of Hope Village, especially since those who left were some of the territory's strongest professionals.
The most obvious change was the demon beasts around the territory.
Originally, thanks to the patrols of the soldier team and the smaller private squads, demon beasts at the various resource points within the territory couldn't cause any trouble at all.
But after this main force left, the number of demon beasts within the territory increased dramatically, making it impossible to keep up with the clearing.
Over the past few nights, demon beasts had even managed to slip right up to the city gates.
On the first night, luckily, the patrolling soldiers spotted them and quickly organized a counterattack, preventing any real damage to the territory's walls. After that, more soldiers were assigned to night shifts each evening.
