Vanessa knew what was best for her, so without putting up a fuss, she gently stepped down from the back seat of Michael's car and smiled sheepishly at her older sister.
"Hi Mirabelle." She gave an innocent wave, but the glare from Mirabelle had her knowing that the older female wasn't buying any of her innocence act.
"Welcome back to Manhattan, Vanessa. How was your stay at Bora Bora."
Vanessa went silent. Of course Mirabelle had the resources to figure her location out. After all, she was a Reed and Reeds are always resourceful.
"Good." She settled on a simple reply.
"That's nice. I hope the vacation was well spent. You certainly looked like you had a good time." Mirabelle said and pointed towards the hickey that no matter how hard she tried to hide it, it kept peaking out from under the scarf she used. Vanessa's face reddened, and her gaze shifted from her sister to Michael who had steppes out of the car and was now approaching her with her bag that Morris had given her.
