"Woah! It feels so… clean!" Yamato cheered, glancing around the mountain in front of my palace with stars in her eyes.
"Get used to it. Once we take down Kaido, this is how Wano will become too," I grinned lightly, amused by her reaction to what was essentially just non-polluted air. Wano had been being developed and exploited by Kaido for decades now, and the air there wasn't entirely clean even in this paradise-like capital.
"But, don't get too used to it, yet," I continued quickly, "You know you'll need to go back, right? You can stay for a day or two, but you need to return before any suspicion of you actually escaping Wano happens."
While I was glad Yamato was enjoying her momentary freedom, she couldn't stay in the DxD world for long. If Kaido returned to find Yamato missing, then his crew would start searching all of Wano for her, and my hostile takeover of Udon prison would be noticed.
And, as Yamato was cuff-free now, I had realized I might've been a bit overexcited in taking her back here. It would've been easier if I just left her in Udon prison with my other forces and her handcuffs still on, but I had wanted to bring her to this world immediately to complete the quest - which I had, as a text box was floating at the edge of my vision.
[Quest Complete!]
Help [Yamato] escape Wano!
Rewards:
+Gain potential [Allies]!
+1 [High] Gacha Pull!
+1 [Medium] Gacha Pull!
+1 [Low] Gacha Pull!
The rewards were decent, and while I doubt the couple of pulls would make a difference right now - meaning I didn't need to finish the quest immediately - I did genuinely enjoy helping out Yamato. I would consider myself pretty efficient and goal-oriented, but that didn't mean I couldn't enjoy myself sometimes, especially when something like this wouldn't interfere with my plans all that much.
I would need Vargan to try and recreate the cuffs, though obviously without the 'blow up when you leave Wano' part - as how the hell did Kaido even do that? Hopefully, the recreation would trick Kaido, and if it didn't, then I'd just have to take a much more blunt approach to conquering Wano.
But, for now, that wasn't my main concern. It was the mind-numbing gacha pulling I was about to put myself through.
"You called for me, Valon?" Speaking of which, as I turned around and saw Momo walking towards me from the inside of my palace, it was about time to get going on that.
"Show her around the Underworld for me," I ordered casually, nodding at Yamato, who was looking at Momo a bit strangely - which was understandable, since the woman's outfit showed a lot of skin, and she was damn-near naked.
"Got it!" Momo agreed immediately, walking up to us as she gave Yamato a friendly smile, "Any place in particular?"
"Just wherever she wants to go," I said with a shrug, "She's been locked up in a small country for a while, so she'll want to explore. Just make sure you're back within two days, alright, Yamato?"
"Sure," Yamato agreed easily, grinning excitedly as she glanced around, more than ready to see something besides the country she'd been trapped in for twenty years, "I don't know where this is, but let's go!"
Yamato wasted no time, casually sprinting forward and then leaping off the top of the mountain - soaring far into the air before gravity took over, and she started falling down the steep edge.
"W-Wait for me! I'm supposed to be your guide!" Momo shouted, giving me a weary look about the task I had given her, and then followed as she launched into the air and flew down the mountain.
I just chuckled, turning back to my palace as the woman took the world-hopping better than I expected. I had told her we were going to the Underworld, and literally going to a whole different universe, but she had simply responded that it was 'cool' and she would go 'anywhere but here' - with 'here' being Wano.
I guess I couldn't blame her enthusiasm, even if it was a bit careless, as I could've kidnapped the carefree woman if I wanted to. She had been stuck her entire life in one place, and while she didn't hate Wano by any means, she certainly hated the Wano that Kaido had created. When your days were filled with smoke-filled skys and dust-filled air, then getting to go somewhere as 'clean' as the Underworld - which wasn't overly clean or anything, as the devils certainly didn't care for the environment, but it was much better than Wano - was a delicacy.
But, while Yamato was going to be having the time of her life running wild in a new land, I was about to be doing something much for boring. It was time to go through my many, many, gacha pulls.
I headed into my palace, walking through the various rooms and hallways as I approached a room that had just recently been finished by Chippy - my new storage room. As I pushed open the door, it wasn't much different from my other storage room, as it was just a massive, empty room.
I stood in the doorway, raising my hand as I navigated through my system, and found the place I was looking for.

Now, it was time to mind-numbingly open gacha after gacha.

[Training Weights] obtained!
And, as a 'sheet' of weights, which were stuck into a plain piece of cloth that could be tied around your ankles, I knew this would be a long day. Rock Lee's training weights appeared for what must've been the tenth time so far, and I casually shoved them to the side, simply starting the next gacha pull.
The amount of [Low] pulls was easily in the hundreds, possibly even thousands - as I lost count at some point while I mindlessly tapped the screens - but there were only a few decent ones amongst the insane amount of items. The requirement for completing the quest to get a [Low] pull was just reaching within the [Slightly-Liked] to [Strongly-Liked] reputation level.
Which is to say, those quests were very easy to complete. The only actual hurdle was that I needed to get the quest in the first place. The system only gave me reputation-based quests for people I knew to at least a slight level, so I couldn't just farm gacha pulls off of soldiers who I had never even talked to, but who surely liked me as their ruler.
However, that didn't mean I wasn't getting a lot of quests - I only spoke with the higher-ups in each section of my army, but when you added up the various direwolves, succubi, dwarves, fallen angels, devils, youkai, and other subsections in my Kingdom, that number became pretty large. Add in the fact that I got a pull for reaching each level - [Slightly-Liked], [Liked], and [Strongly-Liked] - and the number of [Low] pulls I got was constantly climbing.
As for the actual rewards: It was mostly junk, but there were a few 'gems' - or, as close to gems as you could get with a [Low] pull. I got a couple more Magikarp to add to the 'koi' pond near the waterfall on the side of the mountain, as the number had grown so large that they couldn't fit in the tank anymore.
I also got a few more Den-Den Mushi's, which, while they had been useless when I only had one, I could actually connect the multiple ones I had and use them now. Not that they were all that useful, as they were pretty much just telephones, but talking through a snail was still pretty cool, y'know?
Aside from those two somewhat-useful items, I also got a long list of what I considered 'maybe useful in the future' items - Various [Pokeball]'s, currencies from a dozen different worlds, a [Health Crystal] from some video game world, which I assumed was SAO, along with various other little gadgets from other worlds.
Essentially, [Low] pulls gave me a lot of useless shit, but there were a few things that could be useful if I actually ended up going to the world they were from - like the [Pokeball]. Right now, all I could really do was put one of my Magikarp in it, but if one of the worlds I traveled to was Pokemon? Then, they could actually come in handy.
Of course, there was a pretty big step-up from [Low] to [Medium] pulls. The [Medium] quests required me to reach one of the 'loved' reputations with someone, which greatly limited my options. It meant purely in a romantic way, as higher-ranking soldiers who surpassed the 'liked' tiers just went to 'respected.'
That meant I could only get them from women I was romantically involved with - but, luckily for me, there happened to be a lot, and I mean a lot, of women I was involved with at this point.
Since my last time using the gacha, a lot of women had reached one of the 'loved' tiers from the DxD world - such as Yubelluna, Latia, Venelana, Layla, and Tsubaki - while the Highschool of the Dead world had also given me an influx of quest completions. Rei, Saeko, Shizuka, Miku, and Saya had all already reached that tier, even after only being here for a few weeks now.
Overall, I had about two-dozen [Medium] pulls, and most of them were at least a bit useful, as opposed to the [Low] pulls. Some of them I had already gotten variants of before - as I got two more [Meito]'s from the One Piece world, along with two more [MP Refill PIll]'s, and finally three more [Aura Increasing Pill]'s from the Hunter x Hunter world - which led me to believe that certain worlds and items were weighted heavier than others.
I didn't know how big of a pool of worlds the gacha system drew from, but even if it wasn't including thousands of worlds, what were the odds that I'd pull from the same worlds multiple times, and even get the same exact things?
Or, maybe that was actually my LUK helping me here, and these were the top-end items to get from a [Medium] gacha? Either way, I wouldn't complain, as the swords would be good for some of my subordinates, and the other two pills were just a bonus added to my already insane power.
Besides those repeats, I also got a [Ultra Ball] and [Fire Stone] from the Pokemon world, two [Log Pose]'s from One Piece, a [Support Guantlet] from MHA, two [Health Potion]'s from The Legend of Zelda, a [Warrior Fan] from ATLA, and a [Wand] from… Harry Potter? I assumed, at least, as there were a thousand different worlds with magic wands, and this one didn't really have any outstanding characteristics.
After that, I also got a [Laser Gun] - which was just a gun that shot lasers, from who-knows-what world - the [Amulet of Zenithar] from Skyrim, two [Explosive Tag]'s from Naruto, a [Lacrima] from Fairy Tail, and then a few other less-valuable items that I dismissed pretty quickly.
Next up was the [High] gacha pulls, which was where the items actually got seriously good. I had 7 of them available, as Rias jumped all the way through the 'Cherished' tiers to 'Devoted' since my last pulling session, Momo had entered the [Cherished] tier, and Kyon was in the [Slightly-Cherished] tier - then, lastly, I had one more from the Yamato quest.
The first item I got was from the One Piece world again, as it was the [Kilo Kilo no Mi] devil fruit - which let someone adjust their weight at will. It was a pretty good fruit, but I didn't do anything with it right away.
I didn't know how my body would react to eating two devil fruits even with [Phenex Immorality], so I placed it on the back burner until I had more intel. It wouldn't be good if I could only eat one fruit, and I wasted it on this one, which was good, but not overpowered.
After that, I got a [Saiyan Space Pod] from DBZ - which was actually pretty cool, but I didn't think there was anything to be found in space in the DxD world, so I doubted I would use it much. After that was a [Titan Serum] from AOT, which I definitely didn't touch yet.
Then, I got a [Nen Manuel] - something I was actually excited about. I had unlocked the ability to use Nen forcefully with an [Aura Increasing Pill] a while ago, but just having the Aura didn't mean I could suddenly use Nen. I had no idea how to create any techniques with it, or even really circle it through my body, so the [Nen Manuel] would be helpful for that.
The final three rewards were nice, if a bit less exciting, as it was a [Rare Candy], a [HP Refill Pill], and another [Senzu Bean]. The Senzu Bean could come in pretty clutch, but the [HP Refill Pill] was pretty useless when I had [Phenex Immortality], though I could understand why it was in this category.
If I hadn't been able to regenerate, being able to abruptly become fully healed mid-fight would be pretty overpowered. And, of course, the [Rare Candy] was… pretty useless. All I could really do with it was feed it to one of my Magikarp.
That left me with the final pulls I had left, and the best ones: The [Epic] pulls.
I had 3 available, as Raya had gone from [Devoted] to [Strongly-Devoted], while Rias had climbed all the way from [Strongly-Loved] to [Devoted]. Last time, I had gotten the Greed Island card that I always kept on my person for emergencies, so I had high expectations.

[1 Star Dragon Ball] obtained!
I blinked as a round, orange ball fell out of the air, landing in my hand. As I looked down at the Dragon Ball, I was a bit conflicted.
On one hand, it was just one Dragon Ball - which meant I couldn't do anything with it.
On the other hand, it was still a Dragon Ball! If I managed to get the other six through the gacha system, then I could have a set of Dragon Balls, which meant I could wish for pretty much anything once a year.
So, for right now, it was bad. But, for the future? It was a great pull.
I raised my hand, hoping the next one would be just as good - hell, I wouldn't mind if I just got another Dragon Ball right now!

[Charmander] obtained!
I watched blandly as the air shimmered in front of me, and an orange, cute dinosaur with a flame on its tail appeared.
"Charmander!" The creature greeted me cutely, holding up its hand, but I just stared at it blankly.
Don't get me wrong - the little guy was cute, and I certainly didn't mind getting something other than a Magikarp for once, but for an [Epic] pull?
It was, frankly, disappointing. Especially after seeing the Dragon Ball and Greed Island card - like, seriously, I couldn't have at least gotten a pseudo-legendary?!
"Charmander!"
But, as the little guy just looked up at me cutely, I sighed, and my lips twitched up a bit. I guess having him running around the palace wouldn't be the worst thing - I had been wanting a pet lately anyway.
Finally, I raised my finger again, using my last gacha pull.

[Krabby Patty Secret Formula] obtained!
This time, my eyes were genuinely blank - almost lifeless - as a piece of paper floated down in the air. I didn't move to grab it, just letting it float down, and then land on the floor in front of me. I slowly looked down, confusing my new Charmander as a shadow covered my face.
Seriously, this is what I get from a fuckin' [Epic] pull?! The damn Krabby Patty Secret Formula?!
Fuck the Gacha!
