"320 trillion."
The lady increased the bid again, causing Kent to furrow his brow.
"350 trillion."
He increased it as well, hoping the fatty would finally back down. However, he was clearly determined to have the World Core Crystal for himself.
This made Kent wonder just who the man was and why he needed something that perhaps only an alchemist or a blacksmith would have any proper use for.
Looking at his stature, it was plain as day that he was neither an alchemist nor a blacksmith, so why did he need it?
Most of the people who fought over it had a tangible use for it, so Kent had no reason to wonder why they were bidding. However, this one clearly didn't fit either role.
Of course, Kent knew the universe was vast, and what worked for one person might not work for another. He also knew the World Core Crystal could be used for other purposes, so he had no reason to doubt the man.
