When we arrived at the clinic, I noticed the nurse was gone, so I reluctantly let Aiden clean and bandage my wounds.

"Careful, or I'll chop your hands off," I warned him, wincing at the sting of alcohol on my cuts.

"You're a girl, yet you're so foul-mouthed and scary!" he teased, though his tone was light. Despite his teasing words, he was gentle and careful as he applied the alcohol, making sure not to hurt me more. His laughter was soft, a stark contrast to his words, but I could tell he was just trying to lighten the mood.

From that day on, he began appearing in front of me like a ghost after my training sessions, when I skipped class, or as I was leaving school. Most often, I was alone when he suddenly materialized out of nowhere.

At unpredictable moments, he would emerge from behind me, stand right beside me, or even startle me around corners, causing me to instinctively smack his head in my surprise.

Who the hell was this guy?
