Chapter 317: Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
From the palm of his right hand, three Truth-Seeking Balls spun rapidly, surrounded by a layer of green chakra, forming a glowing green ring. The rotation created a massive, tornado-like vortex that surged forward with unparalleled force, directly targeting Tonari.
The tornado was fierce and unstoppable, sucking in everything in its path. Even Tonari, despite his immense power, found his body slightly shaken by the violent wind. However, his brows furrowed slightly, and the five Truth-Seeking Balls revolving around him stabilized his stance, allowing him to remain completely unaffected.
After a while, the tornado finally subsided, leaving the landscape ravaged and the ground torn apart.
Tonari raised his eyebrow in mild disdain, his expression indifferent.
"Just this?"
He did not bother to hide his contempt for the so-called "Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion." Although he knew that Ryoto's Tenseigan had not yet fully evolved, and that using nine Truth-Seeking Balls would have significantly increased its power, the result was still underwhelming.
The contemptuous remark almost made Ryoto choke on his own anger.
"You... bastard!"
The truth was, his attack was formidable enough to obliterate most ninja. But against Tonari, who had mastered the Rinnegan and Truth-Seeking Balls, it seemed insignificant. Taking a deep breath, Ryoto gritted his teeth and gathered his remaining chakra, forcing out one more Truth-Seeking Ball from his body.
"Three Truth-Seeking Balls... this is my limit."
His face flushed from the strain, but his eyes burned with determination.
"Be careful... if you die, don't blame me!"
Tonari snorted, unimpressed. Ryoto's desperation only revealed his lack of control. The three spinning Truth-Seeking Balls emitted a faint golden light, merging into a single gigantic golden chakra sword.
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
The golden sword pierced the sky, its blade seemingly splitting the heavens in half. The immense pressure from the attack caused the clouds to part and the earth to tremble. The sword glowed with such brilliance that it seemed capable of cutting through anything.
Tonari's eyes lit up with interest as he sensed the danger emanating from the golden light.
"Finally... something decent."
He raised his hands, and two of his Truth-Seeking Balls transformed into black metal rods, which he gripped firmly. Gathering an immense amount of Senjutsu chakra, he braced himself as the remaining three Truth-Seeking Balls formed a black spherical shield around him.
Ryoto, hands gripping the hilt of the golden chakra sword, let out a triumphant shout.
"Die!"
The golden sword slashed down, aiming to cleave Tonari in half.
Clang!
A piercing metallic sound echoed as the sword made contact with Tonari's defense. The golden blade collided with the black rods and shield, creating sparks and shockwaves that sent cracks rippling through the ground.
In that instant, the golden sword fragmented into countless pieces, scattering like golden dust in the air. The powerful blade that Ryoto had poured all his chakra into was shattered.
Tonari stood tall, still gripping the two black rods, his face composed and unscathed.
"Is that it? The so-called Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion... too fragile."
Ryoto's eyes widened in disbelief, his chakra cloak flickering and fading as exhaustion overwhelmed him. His hands trembled as the last traces of power dissipated.
"Impossible... how could it break... just like that?"
Tonari calmly released his hold on the black rods, which reverted back to Truth-Seeking Balls and floated around him. He looked at Ryoto with a hint of disappointment.
"Your Tenseigan is incomplete. Even with that flashy display, it lacks the true essence of power. Perhaps if it were a fully evolved Tenseigan, I might have had to put in more effort."
The bitter truth settled in Ryoto's mind. Despite his bravado and claims of grandeur, his Tenseigan was far from complete. The difference between his power and Tonari's was like night and day.
Tonari's expression softened into a thoughtful look.
"That sword technique... wasn't bad. Focusing the repulsive and attractive forces of the Tenseigan into a single point, combining it with the Truth-Seeking Ball's power... it's quite innovative."
He let out a regretful sigh.
"But it still falls short. You're too weak. The Tenseigan is too incomplete. What a waste."
Ryoto's hands fell limp at his sides, and he felt a surge of despair washing over him. In a single moment, all his pride and ambition crumbled. His transformation reversed, the green chakra cloak dissipated, and he dropped to his knees.
"I... I can't lose... not like this..." he muttered weakly.
Tonari stepped forward, his cold gaze piercing into Ryoto's soul.
"You brought this upon yourself. Your ambition outweighed your power. If you had remained quiet on the moon, none of this would have happened."
Before Ryoto could muster a response, Tonari gripped his collar, lifting him effortlessly.
"You sought to destroy the world, but lacked the strength to do so. Your arrogance led to your downfall."
With a sudden motion, Tonari struck Ryoto's chest, sending a burst of chakra through his body, forcibly sealing his chakra pathways.
Ryoto's head drooped, his body limp and unresponsive.
"No need to kill you," Tonari murmured, "but you'll remain a prisoner until I decide your fate."
He turned to Matatabi, who had reverted to her smaller form and was resting nearby.
"Let's head back. I'll deal with this mess later."
As they began their journey back to Konoha, Tonari glanced back at the devastated battlefield. His mind was already analyzing the power of the Tenseigan, comparing it with the Rinnegan, and contemplating the possibilities of merging the two powers.
As they walked, a familiar presence made itself known—Black Zetsu and White Zetsu appeared from the shadows, cautiously watching the retreating figures.
"He broke the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion so easily... terrifying," White Zetsu muttered.
Black Zetsu, however, remained deep in thought.
"Tonari's strength has reached unimaginable levels... If Madara doesn't hurry, our plans will be ruined."
"Should we inform Madara directly?"
"Yes. It's time to accelerate our plan. We can't afford to let Tonari become even stronger. If he unlocks the full potential of both the Rinnegan and Tenseigan, even Madara might not be able to compete."
With their decision made, the two melted back into the shadows, disappearing without a trace.
Tonari, sensing the remnants of their presence, glanced back but did not pursue.
"Let them plot," he whispered, "I'll be ready."
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the echoes of the battle faded away, leaving behind a landscape forever scarred by the clash of divine powers.
