"Were you trying to run away from me again?" Sebastian's voice was low and dangerous.
Sarah's pulse thundered in fear and panic. But she didn't let it show. Rather, she straightened her spine and glared right back at him.
"Run away from you?" she snapped, feigning offense. "Can you even hear yourself talking? If I wanted to run away, would I bother using the restroom first? Would I torture myself any further by sleeping next to you when I could easily plunge a dagger into your heart?"
Sebastian's fist clenched. But Sarah was not done talking.
"You lock me up in this demented prison of yours. You watch me like some fancy trapped bird in a cage, and now you think I'm sneaking out simply because I came to ease myself? What more do you want from me, Sebastian? My soul?"
"Don't twist this because you know..." Sebastian began, but Sarah cut him off, her voice trembling with righteous fury.
