Dave emerged from the laboratory, it was daytime, and he was sure Ella and Sun must have been awake by now, but he had somewhere else he needed to be before heading back, so he sent one of his hybrid to check up on them and also deliver a certain message to them.
He told the hybrid to inform them that he'll be back soon, that they should stay calm and not go anywhere. As for Eric, he told the hybrid to tell him to also wait for him, once he's back from where he went to the previous day.
The bright sunlight continued to shine in the sky as he stepped into the mini forest surrounding the Merger faction's factory. The trees cast long shadows across the ground, and the air was thick with the scent of smoke and ash.
As he approached the factory, Dave spotted Jackie standing outside, overseeing a group of faction members as they piled the bodies of the masked men onto a makeshift pyre.
