The myriad stared dumbfounded at the events that had just transpired before him. He could not understand the complexities, where a sudden flash of light, followed by a terrifying sound that echoed through his mind, and a dead ghoul all in a single span of a second, or perhaps even less than that.
Such a thought fascinated him and brought a chill to his body. He froze on the spot, muscles refusing to move, and a mind that had its functioning logic shattered into pieces. Yet, deep down, he knew he still needed to do something, and he must do it swiftly.
He steeled himself, and toughened his mind, pushing back all the unnecessary thoughts behind him. The sword that he was firmly holding, he straightened, and pointed it forward, which was slightly raised upward.
