Gabriel groaned, pushing himself back onto his feet.
Picking his trident up off of the ground beside him, he quickly threw himself forward as a roof collapsed right behind him.
"GODS PLEASE! LET ME SURPASS THIS!"
He screamed, standing out of sheer will.
Stepping forward, as a crystal vine shot straight at him, he hurled his trident forward, meeting the vine and ripping it straight through its center.
The trident continued forward, striking Picto in the chest...
Gabriel started rushing forward, summoning the trident back to his hands.
The disease that he carried did not run through his genetics, making it all the worst when his family had found out about it.
It was a terrible thing for a noble child to be cursed with a mana supply that was conjoined with that of life force essence.
Every time Gabriel used more than even a little bit of his energy, he threatened wasting his own life force...
But that also meant...
That his energy was far stronger than anyone else who stood at eight star output.
Gripping the handle of his trident as he sprinted back into the crumbling battlefield, he pulled his trident back, striking the crystal that had immobilized back at its base.
After shattering the crystal, he continued forward, leaping into the air as water began to flow into his blood stream.
Losing his breath, he lifted the trident as he descended upon Picto.
He slammed downward, meeting with the metal of Picto's blade.
They clashed, then clashed again.
Picto swung, and Gabriel deflected.
Then Gabriel swung and Picto dodged.
Side stepping the next strike from Picto, Gabriel swung his blade in a low arc forcing Picto into a situation where he had to jump or distance himself.
There had been one good thing to come from Gabriel's curse...
He had been forced to master fighting without energy...
Picto realized the situation he had been put into, but instead of avoiding the strike, crystals fused with the general's legs...
Gabriel grimaced as the blade struck his helmet, shattering it on the left side.
Lifting his trident, he blocked another strike from Picto's blade.
Then his helmet met another powerful blow as it completely broke into pieces, falling off of his head leaving only bruises and cuts from the impacts.
Equan yelled something, trying to get Gabriel's attention.
Gabriel couldn't bare to lose his concentration though...
Swinging downward with the trident twice his size, he slammed the crystal that had once been Picto's kneecap.
Cracking the crystal, Gabriel yelled as he pushed far past his limits.
Water began to flow from his mouth and other head holes, connecting with the water spewing from the shattered fountain.
Then the battlefield started to flood...
...
Equan, of House Lightning...
Ripping the vine from the back of his leg, Equan quickly dashed forward, stepping between wildly thrashing vines and large crystals that continued to shoot from the ground.
Then...
A strange and crazy idea popped up in Equan's head.
He jumped back, narrowly avoiding a crystal shooting out from directly in front of him.
Leaning back, Equan drew an arrow that he only had a few of...
He fired it towards the top of the towering crystal, letting its thread wrap around the circular shape of the crystal pillar.
Then, yanking the rope, Equan pulled himself into a swinging motion where he lost full control and began ascending into the air.
Somehow, Gabriel had gotten his message as water began to flood from every direction.
Equan let go of the rope, now about twenty meters in the air...
He was suspended upside down as he began to become a victim of gravity...
Nocking his bow with every arrow he could muster up, he pointed it downward as his legs stretched up into the air above him.
Facing straight towards the flooded ground, he let loose of the bow, letting ten or so lightning infused arrows fire straight down.
Electricity boomed as Gabriel rolled backwards and as far out of the way as he could get.
The lightning arrows met the ground with a terrible explosion of energy, as Picto reeled back from the terrible shock.
Equan began to plummet, hoping that Michael and Gabriel would be able to finish this fight...
...
Michael, of House Everfrost...
Michael jumped from the side of a crystal as soon as the lightning began to use Picto's metallic armor as a catalyst.
Summoning a shell of ice around his body, he slid through the water gripping his scythe tightly as he pulled back, preparing for a powerful strike against the shell of Picto's staggering body.
He let out a roar as launched himself from the shocking water, swinging in a powerful arcing motion as Picto was unable to deflect this attack.
The ice blade met Picto's crystal shell with a terrible crack, as it ripped across the hard surface, digging into its surface as it dragged across his face.
Behind him, Gabriel had already began to follow up.
Striking straight through the skull of Picto with his trident...
Blood stained the water below them, as the trident went straight through the skull, piercing into the ground below the general...
Michael quickly used the last of his energy reserves to form a slide of ice catching Equan's body as it plummeted through the air, sending him roughly sliding down the edge of the sloped ice...
Michael couldn't check on either of them though, as his vision began to blur...
