THUD!
The massive draconic demon throws a punch that is blocked by the equally large goat demon's forearm.
The goat demon countered the punch with a vicious, flame-wreathed kick to the draconic demon's abdomen, its charred hoof smashing through the shimmering protective scales and hurling the draconic demon backward in a dazzling cascade of sparks.
The sheer force of the impact sent him hurtling across the ground, skidding violently as scorched earth and embers erupted in his wake.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
The soot-colored goat demon emitted a guttural, primal roar, tensing every muscle until each fiber stood out beneath the skin, the network of veins pulsing visibly as they carried the flow of infernal blood through its formidable frame.
The draconic demon halted its backward slide by forcefully driving one foot deep into the ground while simultaneously anchoring itself with five massive, razor-like claws that gouged into the stone, leaving behind a series of deep, unsightly scars marring the terrain.
Tavor observed from behind the formidable trunk of an enormous tree, its bark adorned on one side with an intricate tapestry of deep purple and verdant green moss. He held a mouthful of unusual red fruit, consuming it with the casual, unhurried manner of a cinema patron idly eating popcorn, wholly engrossed in the scene unfolding before him.
CRUNCH!
The demonic fruit exploded into his mouth once more with its distinctive cool, nutty, pear flavor, unknowingly healing his body of its less visible wounds, leaving behind a constellation of slowly fading purple bruises where there had once been gashes.
BOOM!
CRACK!
THUNDER!
The two giant demons continued to engage in a fierce and unrelenting battle, each strike they delivered altering the very terrain beneath them, while their massive footsteps gouged deep ravines into the earth as they moved.
"Come on, hit him with the horns again, that was amazing!"
As the clash with the giant demon reached its crescendo, Tavor's ears caught the distinct snarl of an approaching threat.
Turning, he discerned a group of smaller draconic demons, each only marginally larger than the average human, their eyes locked on him with lethal intent.
The palpable bloodlust radiating from them sent a tingling surge of anticipation through his tail, igniting a sharp thrill at the imminent confrontation.
Tavor assumed a combat-ready stance, his gaze fixed intently on the group of four demons, an unsettling, almost pathological smile etched across his face.
This expression, far from offering any reassurance, instilled a profound and icy dread within the demons, as though they had encountered a force destined to become their relentless predator.
A moment passed in near silence, save for the relentless thunder of distant giants locked in combat; yet, absent that ceaseless clash, one might discern the faint, precise sound of a needle striking a granite floor.
"Well, if you aren't going to start..." Tavor stomped the ground with a single foot, a stomp that left a footprint surrounded by fresh cracks before disappearing from sight.
Three of the four demons looked around frantically while the most powerful-looking draconic demon, with savage orange markings on its dark scales, pulled its large arms near its chest and head, wary of any stealthy blows.
POW!
"GAAAHHHHGGG!"
The demons simultaneously turned to the left just in time to witness Tavor unleash a devastating, spine-shattering kick to the abdomen of the leftmost demon.
The impact drove a spray of infernal blood into the air from the demon's gaped maw, the crimson droplets catching the light as the sheer force of the blow propelled the demon backward with the velocity of a living missile.
The three remaining demons gazed in stunned disbelief, struggling to comprehend the immense power required for someone of such small stature to achieve the extraordinary feat of sending one of their own hurtling through the air with a single, decisive kick.
However, the two smaller demons, clearly incensed at the sudden death of their companion, charged at Tavor from both the left and the right
"I will tear you limb from bloody limb!" The draconic demon on the left snarled before preparing to deliver an elbow to Tavor's face.
"I will eat your still-beating heart!" The draconic demon on the right spun on his heel and prepared to deliver a powerful kick.
Tavor executed a swift, leaping step backward, narrowly evading the simultaneous strikes of both demons. Unable to arrest the momentum of their own assaults, the adversaries collided with each other, the impact hurling them to the ground.
As they fell, their dragon-like visages twisted into grimaces of pain, a testament to the force of the unintended blow.
Tavor's eyes narrowed as dust began to settle in the distance, his ears catching the sound of a low growl emerging from the mound of scattered rubble.
Then another.
The demon he had kicked earlier slowly pushed itself upright.
Its abdomen was visibly caved inward, several scales cracked or missing entirely, yet the damage was already beginning to repair itself. Flesh knitted together beneath the dark scales as the creature spat a thick glob of blood onto the ground.
"You..."
Its eyes burned with hatred.
"...You little bastard."
The other two demons moved toward it.
One placed a hand against its shoulder, helping steady it while the other stepped around Tavor from the opposite side.
Within seconds, the three demons had spread apart.
One to his left.
One to his right.
The battered demon directly behind him.
Tavor slowly rotated his shoulders, his eyes moving between them.
His tail swayed behind him, and he grinned menacingly.
"So you guys can heal too..."
He lowered himself into a defensive stance.
"Good."
The three demons exchanged glances, then they attacked.
The demon on Tavor's left lunged first.
Its clawed hand swept toward his throat.
Tavor leaned backward, and the claws passed barely an inch from his neck.
Before the demon could retract its arm, the second demon came from the right with a kick aimed toward his ribs.
Tavor twisted sideways, narrowly avoiding a damaging blow.
He immediately ducked as the third demon struck from behind.
FWOOSH!
A fist passed over his head as Tavor rolled forward.
"Three at once?"
He sprang upright.
"Okay!"
The demons attacked again.
Two at a time, never all three.
One would engage him directly while another attacked from an angle, forcing Tavor to constantly adjust his footing.
The third remained just outside his immediate range.
Watching, waiting.
Tavor blocked a claw.
Then slipped beneath a punch, only to see a kick come toward his knee.
He jumped over it with acrobatic grace.
The watching demon moved, and Tavor's eyes snapped toward it.
"Too late."
The demon lunged toward the opening created by his jump, and Tavor tucked his legs against his chest.
The claws passed beneath him.
He landed on one hand and spun away.
"You're waiting for me to make a mistake."
The demon's eyes narrowed.
Tavor grinned.
"I like that."
Two demons rushed him, one striking high, the other low.
Tavor stepped decisively between them, the higher blow sweeping harmlessly over his head while the lower strike passed beneath his feet.
With swift precision, he planted a palm against the lower demon's shoulder, vaulting over both attackers to land behind them.
Yet before he could exploit the opening, the third demon was already upon him. Instinct surged, and Tavor hurled himself sideways as a claw tore through the space where his chest had been, the attack missing by a hair's breadth.
He hit the ground, rolling smoothly to his feet.
"This is getting annoying," he muttered.
The demons began to circle, their approach shifting.
They no longer sought to overwhelm him outright, instead pressing him into a reactive stance.
Two would engage while the third held back, waiting for the opportune moment.
The rhythm repeated, one demon lunging with a jab, another following instantly with a kick, forcing Tavor into a relentless cycle of defense.
Tavor parried the first strike and ducked beneath the second.
The third attacker lunged without hesitation, but Tavor twisted sharply, the claw grazing past his face by the slimmest margin.
Another flurry followed, a knee, an elbow, a sweeping kick, yet he wove through them with precision and control.
Again they came at him: a punch, a claw, a backhand.
He slipped effortlessly between each assault, his movements fluid and exacting.
His gaze shifted rapidly from one assailant to the next.
"Left…"
He dropped low.
"Right…"
He leapt aside.
"Behind!"
He pivoted sharply.
The pace of the battle quickened, each exchange more urgent than the last.
Tavor's breathing deepened, not from fatigue, but from the intense focus demanded by the fight.
Every strike required an immediate counter, each counter in turn exposing a vulnerability, and every vulnerability was seized upon without hesitation.
The rhythm became a relentless cycle of attack and defense, precision and reaction.
The demon that lingered at the rear observed with calculated patience, waiting for the precise moment to strike, whether in the breath after Tavor launched a punch, the heartbeat before he delivered a kick, or the fleeting instant when his focus shifted between adversaries.
Yet each time it lunged, Tavor adjusted seamlessly.
A claw swept toward his ribs; he twisted his torso just out of reach.
A fist drove for his jaw; he dipped beneath it with fluid precision.
A kick lashed toward his spine; he planted his hands and flipped gracefully over the attack.
Frustration rippled through the three demons, their snarls punctuated by sharp commands.
"Hold him!"
"Force him left!"
"Now!"
They surged forward in unison, and Tavor's eyes widened as their coordinated assault closed in.
One demon advanced from the front, another closed in from behind, and a third lingered, waiting for the opportune moment.
Tavor intercepted the first attack, deflecting its momentum, but the second demon struck immediately.
He twisted sharply, evading the blow, as the patient third adversary finally committed to the assault.
"There!"
The cry split the air as the demon lunged toward Tavor's exposed side, claws outstretched in a deadly arc. In that instant, Tavor's hand shot forward with precision and speed.
GRAB!
Tavor's fingers tightened firmly around the demon's wrist, his grip unyielding and deliberate.
The creature's eyes flared wide with sudden realization, its expression betraying a rare moment of vulnerability.
"What?!" it exclaimed, the word edged with both shock and indignation.
A slow, confident smile curved across Tavor's face once more, the calculated expression signaling both control and certainty in the outcome that was about to unfold.
"Got you."
He pivoted with abrupt precision, executing a swift and forceful turn before transitioning into a series of controlled, fluid spins, once, then twice, and finally a third time.
With the concluding rotation, the demon's feet rose from the ground, suspended in midair, as the remaining two adversaries had barely a heartbeat to comprehend the unfolding events.
WHAM!
Tavor swung the captured demon directly into the first attacker.
CRASH!
Both collided and tumbled backward; the second immediately tried to leap away, but Tavor kept spinning.
BOOM!
The demon's body collided with his shoulder, sending him hurtling sideways. In the chaos, all three demons were scattered in different directions.
Regaining control, Tavor drove both feet firmly into the ground, halting his rotation with deliberate force.
Dust rose in curling eddies around him as he lowered his gaze to the demon still suspended in his grasp.
The creature bared its teeth in a vicious snarl, lashing out in a futile attempt to rake its claws across his arm.
Unmoved, Tavor's grip only tightened, his fingers clamping down with unyielding strength.
"You've been annoying me."
He pulled his arm backward, and the demon's body went rigid.
Then Tavor threw it.
FWWWWOOOOOSH!
The creature transformed into a living projectile, hurtling forward with unrestrained force.
It tore through the air, spinning chaotically as it sped toward a looming mound of jagged rocks.
For an instant, it seemed suspended against the vast expanse of the crimson sky, a fleeting moment of stillness before the inevitable descent.
Then, with a final surge, it plunged toward its unforgiving destination.
KRAAAAAASH!
It struck the rocks with tremendous force, and the entire mound detonated outward in a violent eruption.
A thick cloud of dust billowed into the air as jagged fragments of stone hurtled in every direction.
The demon disappeared beneath the cascading debris, swallowed by the collapse.
In the center of the battlefield, Tavor stood unmoved, his tail swaying lazily behind him as his gaze shifted toward the remaining two demons.
They had come to an abrupt halt.
Neither advanced nor struck, and Tavor inclined his head in measured curiosity.
"Who's next?"
