Roar!
Bang Bang Bang!
Right underneath the portal of the underworld the sounds of gunshots rang out in the streets like the bell of death, however the demons rushed towards that location from all directions like moths to a flame.
In the middle of this swarm was two female firing off rounds like a gunslinger. The demons were dropped one after the other. Even with their huge numbers they couldn't even scratch them. One of the figure grabbed the bazooka on her back and aimed it at the demons and fired blasting them into pieces.
The two of them fought with a great synergy that made them seem like they were one. They covered for each other that made it difficult for the demons to swarm them.
The two were like the Angels of death or grim reapers as they deprived the demons of their meager existence.
Anyone watching them would not only be captivated by their beauty but their deadly skills as well
Bullets and yellow lightning flew everywhere striking those who dared to come close.
"Just how many of this things are there?" Lady questioned as she blasted the head of a few more demons but a dozen more quickly took their place. She clicked her tongue as she continued to prey bullets like a trigger happy junkie. The bright flash of the bullet firing out of the cartridge light up her face.
A crackle and boom sounded off behind her before dozens of yellow lightning bolts flashed past her striking the demons charging at them causing them to halt momentarily as they were fried alive buying her some time to catch her breath.
Lady heaved a sign of relief when she saw the yellow lightning bolts. She turned around to see her beautiful partner dressed in black gothic clothes approaching her from behind, her straight blonde hair falls to her lower back. She wore a serious look on her face unlike her usual playful and flirtatious expression.
"I am starting to get bored of fighting all this weak demons" Trish said as she looked at the dead demon bodies slowly turning to ashes all around them, then she looked at the others climbing over the bodies of their comrades to reach them.
Trish frowned at the sight. As long as the underworld portal is still functioning there would be an endless supply of demons for them to fight. They could really use an extra hand.
"Where is Naruto? We could really use his help right about now" Lady suddenly asked unknowing mirroring Trish's thought.
"I don't know" Trish shrugged, her eyes still glued at the horde of demons frantically making their way towards them. "I haven't been able to reach him since the last time I phoned him, but he should already be on his way here."
"Well he better hurry before he misses out on all the fun" Lady jested as she reloaded her guns. She knew just how much Naruto hated to be excluded from big events, especially one this big. She often accused him of having a hero complex which he constantly denies.
"It's his loss" Trish said with a devilish smile, her body crackling with lightning as she glared at the demons charging at them. They prepared to welcome this set of punching bags.
However, just as the demons were about to pounce on them a familiar voice entered their ears.
"Rasengan!"
The two of beauty goddesses looked up in shock and surprise at the huge glowing blue ball of energy that had mysteriously appeared in the dark sky above them. The huge blue energy ball momentarily brightened up the dark sky and the surrounding like an artificial sun before crashing into the midst of the demons. Those demons unfortunate enough to be hit by the attack were directly turned to ashes while those close by were blown to pieces.
Trish and Lady shielded their faces from the shockwave and dust clouds created by the mysterious energy ball that had suddenly exploded almost as soon as it landed in the midst of the demons.
"What the hell was that?!" Lady exclaimed in shock at the attack that had almost completely wiped out the demons charging towards them. Those who had managed to survive the attack had already run away in fear not daring to linger even for a second.
She was sure that the attack would have definitely changed the landmark. However, Lady couldn't think about anything that could have created such a powerful attack.
But unlike Lady Trish was present when Dante and Naruto fought Mundus and she had even seen Naruto's demonic form, also the blue energy ball resembled the one that she had seen Naruto use against Mundus, although it was on a much smaller scale. She had a sudden premonition but even she still couldn't help but doubt it.
The two beautiful ladies snapped out their thoughts when they heard footsteps approaching them from deep within the dust cloud. Lightning crackled and guns were cocked as they aimed in the directly. At this moment the dust cloud slowly started to disperse making it easier for them to make out the figure of the person approaching them.
"Naruto!" The two of them experienced great shock as they stared at the familiar sun kissed blonde hair. It couldn't be, Naruto was the one responsible for that attack? The two of them found it hard to believe, even Trish who had already guessed one way or the other still found it hard to believe.
The last time she had seen Naruto use that glowing blue ball of destruction it was barely the size of a basketball but now the size and power of it was unimaginable. However, what they didn't know was that the reason the attack could wipe out so many of those demons was because they were low level demons. If he had used the same attack against Moro it would have only left a scratch on his body.
Naruto had come to realize that there were some certain kind of demons he couldn't hurt with his chakra alone, instead he needed to use the kyubi's chakra. He believed that maybe it was because only a demon could harm another demon.
"Trish, Lady, Sorry I'm late" Naruto apologized as he approached the two demon huntresses with a solemn expression on his face. His body was covered in filth and dirt. He had to fight an onslaught of demons just to get here, therefore he looked at Trish and Lady with a look of admiration and respect.
The fact that the two of them was in the middle of it all meant that they had been fighting the demons swarming out of the portal all by themselves. It was thanks to them that the city hasn't been completely razed to the ground.
Just like him, Trish and Lady gazes were also filled with respect, admiration and a whole lot of questions. That attack just now had taken them by surprise. None of them knew that Naruto was capable of such a thing.
Not just that but he had also destroyed the demon hordes with just a single attack. They didn't even think that Dante was capable of such a feat.
"It alright. All that matters is that you are here now" Lady said with a genuine smile as she finally had the chance to catch her breath after fighting for so long. Honestly if it wasn't for her inhuman stamina and Trish's assistance she wouldn't have been able to last against the demons until now.
Moreover, the demon horde that would have taken them some time to defeat was completely eradicated by Naruto in a single attack.
Unsurprisingly, she wanted to know how Naruto had just created that giant blue glowing thingy that scared away the demons. She had raised Naruto alongside Dante so she knew everything there was to know about him, so imagine her surprise when she saw Naruto pulling out a mythical power that she had never seen before.
However what lady didn't know was that what she knew about Naruto was already outdated or at least she wasn't aware of everything that happened inside the demon castle and the fact that Naruto had inherited all his parents technique as his heirloom. The glowing blue orb being one of them.
Trish shook her head with a small smile on her face. Naruto had really grown a lot in the short time that they hadn't seen each other. She had a feeling that he might be able to give Dante a run for his money if they were to fight now.
"What happened?" Naruto asked the question that had been bothering him since he arrived in the city. Especially the enormous portal glowing ominously above the city.
Lady looked at the hell's gate in the sky and said. "It's a long story but the gist of it all is that a demon managed to open a portal to the underworld and now the demons are wrecking havoc all over the city. Dante has gone to stop the demon and hopefully close the portal to the underworld"
"Dante?"
At the mention of his surrogate father Naruto quickly look around and realized that he couldn't see Dante anywhere.
"Where is Dante?" Naruto questioned when he couldn't see or sense the legendary son of Sparda, which puzzled him as to where he could be in such a time of dire crisis.
"Dante is over there?" Trish replied as she pointed at the top of a sky scraper in the distance which was also the closest building to the ominous underworld portal. It was only when he lookd there and focused his senses that Naruto finally felt a very powerful demonic power coming from the top, It was the strongest demonic power that he had ever felt, more than even Mundus. Moreover, there was two of them.
Kurama who had been quiet since Naruto rendezvous with Trish and Lady finally spoke up. "Do you feel that kid? Those demonic powers are even more terrifying than the demon king Mundus. And one of them even belongs to your surrogate father"
'Dante' Just as Kurama said he had also felt Dante's demonic energy coming from the skyscraper but he found it difficult to believe. The last time he checked Dante didn't possess this much power. That battle with Mundus was proof enough that the two of them were still lacking. He had also almost died in that battle. Till date Mundus was still the strongest demon that he has ever fought.
But now Kurama was telling him that Dante was already more powerful than Mundus. How could he easily accept such a thing?
Sensing his inner turmoil and doubt, Kurama said. "seems like you weren't the only one who has grown"
Kurama could sense the jealousy and envy in it host. However, whether Naruto chose to accept it or not was up to him, but the truth was that the current Dante had already surpassed the former demon king.
"Don't think too deeply about it. Unlike you he shares the blood of a true demon. However we have chakra"
"Hey. Naruto"
After Kurama said those words a voice reached out to Naruto snapping him out of his conversation with Kurama and back to reality
Naruto turned to Trish who had called out to him only to see her pointing behind him. He turned to the direction she indicated to see a new horde of demons larger than the former charging towards them. He even spotted a few middle class demons among them.
"We have got company"
Naruto glared at the incoming vicious horde that looked like they wanted to tear them apart. However for some reason he wasn't angered or annoyed, instead he was glad.
He couldn't say why or for what reasons but seeing the approaching horde made his blood rush.
Purgatory sensing the excitement of it master appeared beside hovering in mid air while giving off a blood red hue.
If Dante was already handling the boss, then all he could do was stop these weaklings from interrupting.
Naruto reached out a hand to grab the hilt and held it sideways. A devilish smile appeared on his face that was mirrored by Trish and Lady
Just like Kurama said. They might not be true demons but they have one thing that made them different from others, and that was chakra.
"Then let's go say hello"
"Right!"
