Chapter 11 - CH 11. MR.Svarog

"Miss Seele?" Peak woke up with a start, rubbing his eyes.

Seele's face hardened, her brows furrowing in anger. "Have you got a death wish or something? How can you sleep here? Get back to safety and take shelter!"

Confused, Peak scratched his head. "Take shelter... gasp I remember now! Those guys came out of nowhere and attacked the mining team. I was exhausted... barely made it a few feet before one of them caught me. If it weren't for Wildfire, they would've stripped the clothes off my back!"

Seele's expression remained grim. "Where is Wildfire now?"

Peak hesitated, his voice lowering. "Further in... I guess those thugs took control of the vein ages ago. They're fully armed, and we, the poor, defenseless folks, didn't stand a chance. It's only thanks to Wildfire that the great mine hasn't fallen into their hands completely."

Seele crossed her arms, her gaze sharp. "Sounds like Chief Oleg must be up ahead. Hurry up and get back to safety. I'll look for Nat and try not to get into another scuffle along the way."

Peak nodded, muttering a quick thanks before heading off. march watching this, she couldn't help but slap her forehead. "It seems that for some, sleep is more important than their lives..."

At this, Phanes recalled the Shade of Time, whose powers allowed her to see the future through dreams, by linking the past and future. Phanes had forbidden her from making any changes to the timeline, but after receiving the group chat's future intel, he knew she had broken those rules long ago. The thought of punishing her crossed his mind... but she disappeared with his sister, and he eventually gave up searching for her.

Later, when they find Evelin:

After a few minutes, they came across a girl named Evelin. She quickly explained who had taken control of the robots and the mine.

"Then there's only one possibility... Boss Svarog," Seele said, placing her hands on her hips.

Hearing that name, March tried to recall something. "Svarog? That name sounds familiar."

"You remember the robots we defeated at the boxing gym?" Dang Heng crossed his arms, a thoughtful look on his face.

"Oh! Boss Svarog's robots... What's his deal?" March exclaimed.

Seele responded with a sharp look toward March. "Let's just say he's not someone to be trifled with."

March, with a smug grin, shrugged. "We're not afraid. We've dealt with much worse in the past. And if we can't handle it, well, we have this big guy here." She pointed at Phanes, causing Eliysa to suddenly exclaim, "What about me? Hmpf!" She pinched Stelle's arm in annoyance.

"And of course, Alice too," Stlle quickly added, trying to appease the witch. She couldn't stand Eliysa clingness.

Dang Heng let out the biggest sigh of his life, rubbing his temples. "Let's focus. We need to find the others. Elaine, can you make it back to safety?"

Elaine nodded, adjusting her gear as she prepared to leave. "No problem. You all be careful." She gave them a quick nod and started walking off.

As they made their way forward, the enemies were eliminated one by one. Soon, their path was blocked by a massive iron card.

Seele frowned as she studied the obstacle, her voice steady. "We can't go this way until we clear the road."

Eliysa leaned closer to Phanes, her voice low as she whispered, "You can help, right?"

Phanes gave a silent nod, his gaze shifting toward the iron card. Without warning, the card floated into the air and set to the side.

The rest of the group, excluding Eliysa, stared at Phanes in surprise.

Eliysa, rolling her eyes, sighed. "Come on, guys, stop staring. Let's move."

after clearing countless roborts on the way again.

beleborg underworld vein..

"So this is the vein everyone's fighting over," Clara said, her wide eyes scanning the massive vein of glowing ore.

Looking up at the robot, the little white-haired girl continued, "Mr. Svarog, it's such a massive vein... I've never seen so much Geomarrow before."

Svarog's robotic gaze lingered on the ore. "Calculating... Based on the average rate of excavation, this vein should supply Belobog with 231 days of energy, with a margin of error of seven days."

He paused, his sensors shifting as he looked down at Clara. "I sense that your reason for summoning me is not related to the ore. State your true intentions, Clara."

Hearing this, Clara lowered her head, her gaze shifting to the red eyes of Svarog. She spoke quietly, "Right. I wanted Mr. Svarog to see that many miners and Vargants have been hurt because of the vein... Can you help them?"

Svarog's mechanical gaze never wavered. "I have already prevented further disputes and taken temporary control of the excavation zone. Evaluation result: In the event of no further variables, there will be no large-scale armed conflict within the next 30 days, Clara."

Clara's shoulders slumped, and she spoke softly, almost to herself, "I know why you did it, Mr. Svarog. It's just… I don't think it'll be enough. The mining team and Wildfire... they don't understand your actions. If we could do more for them..."

Svarog's tone remained calm, unwavering. "My mission is the protection of the Underworld. The trust of the minority sample is redundant to my calculations. Human behavior will always deviate from rational calculation, Clara."

Before Clara could respond, a cold, unfamiliar voice interrupted. "You're right. Humans always deviate. That's the arrogance of mankind."

It was Phanes' voice.

Svarog looked from Clara to the group who had arrived, then nodded slightly. "As evidenced by their presence here."
