"Would you like to try this wine now?" Mary asked, seeing that I finished the glass of liquor. "It should pair well with this bread and cheese."
"Sure. Sounds good." I replied.
Mary handed me the wine and then Charlotte fed me a piece of cheese. I bet they still make wine by crushing the grapes with their feet in this world. Hygiene concerns aside, there are no factories here. All the food and drink in this world is handmade, and I can taste the effort and care people put into it.
"Do you like living here?" I asked the girls. "Are you happy?"
"Yes, of course." Charlotte answered. "Being here with you is such a thrilling adventure. I couldn't be happier."
I nodded at Charlotte, and then I looked at Mary.
"Yes." Mary said, averting her eyes and blushing a little. "I am happy."
"And you, Suzan?" I asked.
"I think so." Suzan said, then paused to consider it. "Well, there's nowhere else I would rather be."
"That's good. Tell me if you have any problems, and I'll do what I can."
