Derek sat alone at a table in the adventurer's guild, nursing a beer. Finally, a large, muscular couple entered the guild and went directly to the receptionist. Derek watched them complete some regular business. Then, as Derek requested, the receptionist pointed the pair toward him, and they approached.
"Derek, right?" Said Leon. "Good to meet you."
"You must be Thunder Strike. Leon, I presume." Replied Derek. "A pleasure."
"So, you're a mage. Can you do healing magic?"
"No, of course not."
"That's too bad. We were hoping to find a mage who could do healing magic."
"Restoration magic is very rare, you know. I could count all the healers I know on one hand and none of them want to be adventurers."
"They don't?"
"Of course not. Healers can make more money than adventurers without risking their lives." Said Derek, in a rather frustrated tone.
"Oh, I see." Replied Leon, thoughtfully. "That makes sense."
