(A/N: Bonus Chapter Merry Christmas!!!!!!!)
"Not taking control, just providing Grassmere Ranch as a good habitat for Diancie."
"In return, she'll give me some special diamonds. Those diamonds have research value. If I get the chance, I'll bring them to the laboratory for study," John replied thoughtfully.
'The Hearth Diamond could serve as the energy source for Carbink's diamond kingdom, maybe I could develop it into a stable and powerful energy source.'
Of course, Hearth Diamonds used for this research would come after Tyranitar's needs were met.
"Speaking of Tyranitar's divine seat, do you know which other Pokemon have divine seats, mentor?" John asked.
"Of course I know."
"Which Pokemon?"
"Machamp!"
"Machamp?" John suddenly thought that Saul had a Machamp powerful enough to compete head-on with a Landorus. "Isn't that your Machamp, Principal?"
"Whose else's Machamp do you think is worthy of the throne?" Badman said proudly.
Finally, he had something to hold over his student's head.
John rubbed his chin. This meant he hadn't trained a Machamp, otherwise he'd have to perform a "teacher-student battle for the throne."
"Are there any others?"
"None."
John frowned. It seemed finding Pokemon meant for kingship wasn't easy.
"Mentor, I have one more thing to ask."
With that, John took out the Lustrous Orb from his pocket and placed it before Principal Badman.
"About this Lustrous Orb, I wonder where you got it?"
"From an S-level sanctuary," Badman answered immediately. The Lustrous Orb had helped him greatly. It could even be said that half his achievements today were thanks to it. Therefore, he clearly remembered the process of getting it.
"What's the name of that S-level sanctuary?" John asked.
"Floating Island."
"Floating Island." John vaguely remembered seeing this place in Draconia's sanctuary list, but didn't know its size. He'd need someone to guide him, so he looked up and asked, "Are you free recently? I'd like you to take me to this sanctuary and show me where you found the Lustrous Orb."
"Why?" Badman didn't quite understand John's purpose. "I cleared out everything that could be taken there. There should be nothing left where the Lustrous Orb was."
John thought for a moment, then took out the Ancient Adamant Orb and explained, "This is the Adamant Orb, a treasure from Dialga, the God of Time. The Lustrous Orb is the matching treasure of Palkia."
"Time and space are obviously two gods of equal strength, but now the power of these two artifacts is completely different."
"I suspect the Lustrous Orb may not be complete."
John decided to first search for the AncientLustrous Orb with the theory that "the Ancient Lustrous Orb is the better version of the Lustrous Orb."
This seemed like the most likely possibility.
Hearing that the blue crystal before him was an artifact matching Dialga, the God of Time, Saul immediately sat up straight, his eyes bright, aura power escaping instantly.
Carefully, he reached out and picked up the orb to examine it closely.
The AncientAdamant Orb that John had taken from his Gameboy no longer had the instability it showed when first discovered.
However, Badman could still feel the flowing and twisted power inside using his aura abilities.
"It does indeed contain the power of time," Badman nodded.
"Although I don't know why you have such a theory, it reminds me of the scene when I got the Lustrous Orb. The sanctuary seemed to be ruins of ancient ancestors, with wall paintings recording many myths."
"Since you want to go, I'll come with you."
Ancient ancestors, ruins, wall paintings...
John could probably guess it was a scene where ancient people worshipped Palkia.
Hopefully I'll gain something.
"When do you want to go?"
"The day after tomorrow. I have to visit the the Dragon Crest tomorrow," John replied thoughtfully.
"Why are you going to the Dragon's Nest? Don't tell me you want to train more Dragon-types and form a dragon team?" Badman was curious.
Among young people today, who hadn't dreamed of forming a team of Dragon Pokemon?
"I don't have time to spare," John smiled sadly and shook his head.
He currently had plenty of Dragon-types: Garchomp, Shiny Haxorus, Tyrantrum, Salamence.
Each Pokemon had unique features and strong potential, all foundations for champion-level Pokemon. Unfortunately, he'd spent most of his recent time on his first-tier lineup. Except for Garchomp, he didn't have extra time to invest in the others.
"Then why are you going to the Dragon's Nest?"
"Principal, don't you know that the Garchomp King in the Dragon's Nest is a Garchomp with a divine seat?" John asked in return.
Saul immediately gave a questioning look.
"Really? Who gave you this information? Even I, as Riverstone University's principal, don't know about this."
John shrugged. It seemed his principal didn't know about it either. "This is information I got from the legendary Pokemon, the God of Life, Xerneas."
"Xerneas... that is indeed more knowledgeable than me..." Badman suddenly felt small upon hearing the other party was the God of Life.
Thinking carefully, the Garchomp King had already existed on the Island before he came to be principal.
The only content recorded in school history was the "Whale God", a Wailord possesing a divine seat. Who would have thought that the Garchomp living on the Whale God's back was also a Pokemon with a divine seat?
But wherever John went, he met these legendary Pokemon that ordinary people rarely saw once in a lifetime.
"So you're taking your Garchomp to challenge its mother?" Badman remembered that John's Garchomp also came from theDragon's Nest.
"Divine thrones belong to the strong, and I believe this mother would be happy to be defeated by her child," John's eyes flickered. He thought about if he had a child in the future who could defeat him on the trainer path, he'd be happy too.
