Chapter 517 - The Diamond Domain

As they went deeper, even John could feel the powerful energy waves.

The light from the rough diamonds around them slowly changed from dim to bright to blinding, while their color shifted more toward the pink color of Fairy-type energy.

Until they reached the end of the diamond vein.

A massive pink diamond jumped into John's view, filling his entire sight.

The pink diamond floated in mid-air, turning slowly and giving off warm, gentle light like the sun, creating a wonderful feeling of freshness.

" The Hearth Diamond?" John stared at the huge pink diamond in wonder.

"You know of it?" Diancie turned to look at John.

"Sort of." John had seen it in anime from his previous life, Diancie's movie had started with one.

"So, would it be useful to you?" Diancie asked again.

John remembered that Hearth Diamonds were massive energy sources that could support the "Diamond Domain" in animation, serving as the heart for building the Diamond Domain.

John could feel the powerful, flowing energy coming from it, clearly sensing strong life force along with Rock and Fairy-type energy inside.

'If given to me, Gardevoir could absorb the Fairy energy, while Tyranitar and Aggron could share the Rock-type part, definitely making them much stronger.'

"Very useful," John said thoughtfully, rubbing his chin.

"Then I'll give it to you!" Diancie suddenly said something shocking.

John raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Give it to me? Don't you need it?"

Diancie shook her head slightly. "This is a diamond I created. Although it's full of powerful energy that makes my people more comfortable, it also brings countless dangers."

"The Tyranitar we met was actually after this, and even before that Tyranitar, I fought several other powerful Pokemon, all because of it."

"So I've decided to give this diamond to you!"

John looked at Diancie, then at the Carbink gathered around her, understanding what was happening.

It seemed the Carbink clan in this world hadn't built a "nation," so they didn't depend on Hearth Diamonds as much as in the anime.

Also, the Diancie before him seemed to have learned how to create Hearth Diamonds.

'So she is already capable of Mega Evolution?'

"Thank you for being so generous."

"I'll also offer something in return," John said quickly.

Free gifts were nice, but only worked once. When dealing with legendary Pokemon, lasting relationships were important. Since Diancie could create Hearth Diamonds, why not build good relations first for long-term benefits?

"Are you interested in taking your people somewhere else? I can find you a region rich in minerals that's completely safe. If any of your people want to follow humans and grow stronger, I can help make that happen," John suggested.

For this mineral-rich region, John's first thought was Grassmere Ranch, where his breeding center was located.

Grassmere Ranch was surrounded by mountains and vast grasslands. John had once sent people to explore the mineral veins, they were quite rich. He'd originally planned to create a special habitat for Tyranitar and Aggron.

Compared to Diancie's Hearth Diamond, it would definitely be worth the cost. Plus, if Diancie really agreed to move, he'd have endless Hearth Diamonds in the future, huge profits!

Upon hearing this idea, Diancie seemed unsure.

A few decades ago, she would have said no to John without thinking. Back then, they still lived in their original homeland, but since leaving that territory, they'd been like floating weeds in a river current, with no permanent home.

Leaving this temporary home for somewhere completely safe with plenty of resources would be a good choice.

What impressed her most was actually John saying he could help her people follow humans and grow stronger.

As a powerful and knowledgeable Pokemon, Diancie had seen countless trainers and Pokemon who'd grown stronger through trainer care and formed bonds with their partners.

Not all Carbink just wanted to eat, sleep, and repeat the cycle.

Many Carbink wanted to explore the world, grow stronger, then return to protect their people.

As princess of the Carbink, Diancie had been thinking about this problem for a long time.

"I want to see this world you describe, completely safe and rich in minerals," Diancie said.

John had expected Diancie to refuse, but hearing her response, he quickly understood there was a chance here and waved his hand.

"Sure, I can take you there to see it now. It won't take long, half an hour is enough."

The Western Region was much closer to Grassmere City than the capital.

However, before leaving, he still needed to claim his reward first.

John stepped forward and touched the Hearth Diamond.

Warmth and gentle power immediately filled his entire body, every cell expanding comfortably like rain after a long drought.

This pleasant feeling like soaking in a hot spring lasted only a second, because the next moment John stored the Hearth Diamond in his Gameboy.

He activated the device to check its properties directly.

[Hearth Diamond: A diamond that can only be created by "Diancie" who has mastered life's secrets, formed from pure life force, Fairy power, and Rock power. Any Pokemon can absorb this energy to strengthen itself. When carried as an item, provides additional boosts: Rock-type move power increased by 212%, Fairy-type move power increased by 212%. Defense and Special Defense of Rock-type Pokemon greatly improved, with faster physical recovery. Fairy-type Pokemon gain an additional 53% move power increase.]

Although he'd expected it, John couldn't help but sigh.

"Truly worthy of the massive energy that could support an entire Kingdom, its effects were comparable to top-tier artifacts matching supreme gods like Palkia and Dialga. For both Rock and Fairy types, the increase was over 200%."

"But why were there such specific numbers, 212% and 53%?"
