Chapter 1056 - Chapter 1025: Fraud, Parasite, Traitor

In U.S. history, there had never been a presidential debate as intense as this year's—it wasn't a debate at all, but a full-blown argument.

So everyone watching was having a great time.

Martin laughed. "In the end, Trump managed to drag Hillary into his specialty in this final debate. I'm betting on him to win."

On the TV screen, moderator Wallace posed the last question.

"Who do you think is more suitable to be president?"

The intent of this question was to let the two cool down, stop bickering, and each highlight their own strengths.

However—

Hillary: "Without a doubt, I'm more suitable to become this country's president."

After saying that, Hillary didn't go on to explain her advantages. Instead, she shifted gears and launched another attack on Trump.

"Mr. Trump's disrespectful behavior toward women is already well-documented. Imagine what would happen if someone like that became this country's president? He'd turn this nation into something incredibly 'dark and dangerous.' When the president leads the way in discriminating against women and religions, it will inevitably spark an even larger wave of racial discrimination in this country—what a terrifying thing that would be."

Trump: "I'm the one most suited to become this country's president. This fraud Hillary is spouting nonsense again."

He repeated several times: "No one respects women more than I do."

He claimed: "The New York Times and other media outlets' recent sexual harassment scandals about me are fake. The women accusing me either want to get famous or were bought off by Hillary."

"Furthermore," he added, the recent violence and chaos at his Chicago rally were deliberately incited by Hillary's team with paid agitators—it was criminal behavior.

"Everyone knows what Hillary and her Clinton family behind her are best at—eliminating enemies physically. The Chicago chaos was more like a plotted assassination attempt. That's very 'Clinton-esque.'"

Faced with Trump's near-direct accusation, Hillary couldn't be bothered maintaining any elegance. She sneered disdainfully: "Mr. Trump couldn't control the crowd at his own event, yet he's blaming it on me and my husband. That's truly ridiculous."

Then she fired off a sarcastic jab: "If I wanted to assassinate him, there'd be a gun at the scene right now."

Immediately after, Hillary changed the subject again, reiterating how Trump had repeatedly insulted women, minorities, the disabled, and prisoners of war since entering the race—it had become a habit.

Meyers Manor.

Scarlett asked curiously: "Was the Chicago riot really orchestrated by the Clintons?"

Martin nodded. "Highly likely. Trump wouldn't use a method that hurts himself as much as the enemy to go after Hillary. The violence escalated way too quickly—someone was definitely organizing it from the shadows."

Sofia frowned. "Does that mean the Clintons really wanted to assassinate Trump?"

Martin chuckled. "Not quite that far—it was just a warning. Trump knows full well the Clintons can't easily use underhanded tactics against him, but in the future, the family will definitely target him in every way. The guy's really torn off the mask with the Clintons; he dares to say anything."

Martin thought of the future "Russiagate" that would lead to Trump's ignominious downfall, pushed by the Clintons from behind.

On the screen.

Faced with Hillary repeatedly slapping the "misogynist" label on him, Trump felt the need to steer the topic back to the "Clinton Foundation."

"The Clinton Foundation is just this couple's personal slush fund. Much of the donations come from 'pay-to-play' deals and selling out U.S. interests."

Hillary didn't back down at all, dragging Trump's foundation into it too. "Trump's foundation has several unexplained sums—likely secret donations from Russia. This man is a traitor."

"Fraud, parasite."

"Traitor, dictator."

The scene devolved into "arguing" once more.

The moderator reluctantly interrupted them again and asked: "Mr. Trump, if you lose to Hillary, will you accept the election results? Will you respect America's tradition of peaceful power transition?"

Trump said: "I'll look at it when the time comes—and I don't think I'll lose to this woman."

Hillary immediately mocked: "That's utterly graceless speech. This is a scary man—because in the past, whenever things didn't go as he expected, he'd claim the system was rigged. So it's hard to say how he'll handle the final election results."

Trump shot back sarcastically: "Smearing others is clearly your specialty."

Seeing the two about to bicker again, the moderator hurriedly tossed the question to Hillary as before.

"Ms. Hillary, if you lose to Trump, will you accept the election results? Will you respect America's tradition of peaceful power transition?"

Hillary glanced disdainfully at Trump and said: "Given Mr. Trump's recent performance, I'll look at it when the time comes too."

Moderator Wallace made a gesture of wiping away cold sweat, steering the debate toward foreign policy.

"This moderator's having a tough time too, stuck between those two?" Elizabeth Olsen, who didn't follow much of this, remarked.

Sofia smiled. "Not really. Actually, the moderator probably loves seeing them go at each other like this—it boosts the show's ratings."

Scarlett added: "Yeah, his flustered act is fake. He's probably laughing inside."

Elizabeth Olsen: "Huh?"

On the screen, the moderator had already asked about the recent Iraqi offensive against ISIS in Mosul.

The moderator asked both: "Ms. Hillary, Mr. Trump, do you support deploying U.S. troops to Iraq or Syria?"

Hillary claimed: "No, I won't support sending troops to Iraq or Syria. I'm very uneasy about the ongoing war in Syria."

Then she added: "I've always believed the best way to resolve the Syrian issue is 'more negotiations.'"

Shifting gears, she began criticizing Trump's past support for the Iraq War.

Hillary said: "Just Google 'Trump' and 'Iraq,' and you'll see all sorts of statements from this guy supporting the war."

Trump immediately showed an angry expression, directly cutting off Hillary's speech and shouting: "Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! She's slandering me."

Trump waved his arms and said loudly: "The Aleppo situation in Syria is a disaster. I've never supported war—I only support U.S. sanctions against terrorists. Hillary, yes, Hillary is the one who needs to take responsibility for Syria's current state."

"The Assad regime is indeed terrible, but overthrowing it has made things even worse. The Syrian war has created millions of refugees, many of whom have joined ISIS, and now Hillary wants to let them into the U.S."

"Well done!" Trump said sarcastically. "Iran has become the big winner in the Iraq and Syria wars. Iran will control Iraq, and the Obama administration once provided Iran with massive cash and weapons."

Then Trump wore a mocking smile, pointing at Hillary toward the camera: "So this woman's tough stance on Syria is actually just for the election—she wasn't like that when she was Secretary of State."

After that, the two started arguing again.
