The next day, in the Hokage office at noon;
Hiruzen let out a sigh as he massaged the bridge of his nose while putting the report on the table as he finished reading it.
In front of him stood Ryuu and Phoenix while Akari and her daughter sat on the couch nearby.
"Is this something that I should expect from you every year, Ryuu?" Hiruzen said with a tired tone as he looked between Ryuu, Phoenix, and the Uzumaki mother and daughter.
Akari looked confused, meanwhile Phoenix seemed calm, but Ryuu could feel her being amused.
"No, Hokage-sama. The first time was a coincidence, an outcome that happened during my effort to complete a mission fully. This time, they are my clansmen, my family. I can't let them be used as a healing source that can be bit into whenever it is convenient." Ryuu replied
Hiruzen let out a sigh. While the mission was successful, he didn't appreciate Kusa hiding the reason for Iwa's presence in the land of grass, especially since the reason was two Uzumaki.
"Don't worry, Hokage-sama. The two of them are just ordinary civilians, so integrating them into Konoha won't cause you much trouble." Ryuu said
"Fine, but don't make this a habit," Hiruzen said, to which Ryuu nodded
"You have a couple of days off, then you both will be back for duty. I assume that you will be taking care of the two Uzumakis." Hiruzen said with a blank tone. Even though he didn't say it, he was happy with the addition of two other Uzumakis to the village.
"Yes, Hokage-sama. They will live in my family compound." Ryuu replied
"Good, then you are both dismissed. Also welcome to Konoha, both of you." Hiruzen said to Ryuu and Phoenix before turning towards Akari and her daughter.
"Thank you very much, Hokage-sama," Akari said as she stood up and bowed. Before taking Karin into her arms and following Ryuu and Phoenix out of the office.
"Before I get you both settled, we are going to go to the hospital to meet my mother and get you checked up," Ryuu said, to which Akari nodded
A few minutes later, the Konoha hospital reception;
"Wait here for a minute, I will be back," Ryuu said to Akari
"Let's go," Ryuu said to Phoenix before they disappeared in a body flicker.
Akari sat on a chair in the reception while looking at her daughter with a small smile. Karin has been looking at everything with curiosity ever since they entered Konoha. Feeling that they stopped moving, she turned to her mother.
"Kaa-chan, where did ni-san go?" She asked as she didn't see Ryuu leaving.
"He will be back soon, sweetheart, don't worry." Akari with a warm, reassuring smile.
Moments later, Ryuu appeared, but his attire was completely different. Gone was his mask and Anbu uniform; now his face was visible, along with his vibrant red hair. His attire consists of His new jonin flak jacket along with dark clothing underneath.
"Ni-san, you are back. Where did you go?" Karin asked with a wide smile, seeing Naruto appear.
"I went to change my clothes, Karin-chan," Naruto said with a soft tone and a small smile.
"Shall we?" Naruto asked Akari while looking at her, making her nod.
As they walked into the hospital, hospital staff and even some patients greeted Naruto as he walked by.
"You know then?" Akari asked
"Yes, I am a medic and a doctor. I worked here during my time as a genin." Naruto said.
Soon, they reached a door that had 'Hospital Director' written on it, which Naruto knocked on.
"Come in." A feminine voice came from inside.
Naruto opened the door and walked inside and holding it open for Akari and Karin to enter.
"Hey, mum," Naruto said with a small smile as he looked at his mother.
"Naru. When were you back? I… Wait a minute." Tsunade said with surprise creeping on her, and she wasn't alone, as Shizune was in the room with her.
Their eyes looked at the pair of red-haired females who entered behind Naruto. They knew that shade of red very well. That isn't what only surprised them, though, as they took in what Naruto is wearing.
"That is a…..Jonin flak jacket." Shizune said with a tone of uncertainty and surprise.
"Yeah, Sensei promoted me four days ago before sending me on a mission right after. I didn't have time to inform anyone about that." Naruto said with an apologetic and embarrassed smile.
"That damned old man. I will give him a piece of my mind next time I see him." Tsunade muttered heatedly to herself. That old monkey had promoted her son and didn't give him enough time to celebrate or inform her. He didn't even inform her that her son was promoted.
"Congratulations, Naruto. You deserved it. Let's celebrate later today." Tsunade said with a bright smile, looking at her son with pride and happiness.
"Congratulation, Naruto-kun." Shizune said with a smile.
"Thank you both. It means a lot coming from you." Naruto said with a smile
"Let's talk about this while celebrating tonight. Naruto, shouldn't you introduce your company?" Tsunade asked as she could see that the older redhead seemed to feel out of place.
"Mum, I would like you to meet Akari Uzumaki and her daughter Karin. I rescued them on my last mission." Naruto said, surprising both Tsunade and Shizune. They had a feeling, seeing the red hair.
"Akari, I would like you to meet my mother, Tsunade Senju, and her assistant, Shizune," Naruto said, making Akari's eyes widen in surprise.
"Tsunade Senju is your mother?" Akari asked with disbelief in her tone. She knew of Tsunade from before Uzushiogakure. The granddaughter of Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki.
"Yes, and please keep it to yourself. Few know my status as a Senju, and I already have enough attention from my red hair and Uzumaki lineage." Naruto said with an even tone. He didn't disclose his status as a Jinchuuriki. He would do that if the need arises.
After the introduction, the room fell quiet for some time. Then Akari walked forward and bowed slightly before saying, "It is nice to meet you, Tsunade-sama."
"It is nice to meet you as well. It is good that there are still people from our family alive out there." Tsunade said with a warm tone and smile, making Akari smile as well.
As they exchanged pleasantries, Naruto told Tsunade about where and what he rescued the mother and daughter from. This, of course, made Tsunade's mood sour with anger and worry.
"Then shouldn't you have brought them back to the compound to rest?" Tsunade asked
"I plan to do that, but I need to have them checked out fully first, especially Akari. I already checked on her, but I want to make a thorough check-up on her in the hospital as I fear that Kusa's overusage of her healing bite has done some irreversible damage." Naruto said.
"Then let's go," Tsunade said as she picked up her doctor coat.
