Tony Stark was thinking back and forth, but he didn't have any good ideas, while Shin was already preparing to go find those Mutants.
This was what Tony Stark had asked Shin to do. Whether it was S.H.I.E.L.D., SWORD, or the relationship between the nation, the military, and the Mutants, none of them were very good. However, Mutants accounted for almost half of the Superheroes, and among all the superhumans on Earth, they held an overwhelming advantage.
If Earth truly faced a crisis, there was really no way to go it alone without the Mutants.
And the relationship between Shin and the Mutants was quite good. Not to mention anything else, Wanda was a bona fide Omega-level Mutant. No matter how you looked at it, it was much better than Tony Stark going to those Mutants empty-handed.
Tony Stark wasn't idle either. He had to rely on the current SWORD to find other Superheroes on Earth, such as the Hulk, who had played an important role in the last battle.
As for General Ross, he didn't think a cosmic war had anything to do with Earth's military. How could Earthlings counter such a battle? By relying on nuclear bombs?
Unfortunately, Negative Space was full of high radiation everywhere. The Zerg had even evolved a mode that used radiation as an energy source. If a nuclear bomb were thrown over, the bugs might even be happier.
As for the Fantastic Four, Tony Stark handed over the Zerg corpses from the last battle to them, telling them to hurry up and research them to see if they could develop some kind of pesticide specifically effective against the bugs.
Mr Fantastic's research had always been quite unconventional. Things that others couldn't figure out, you really couldn't say whether this guy could figure them out or not.
Shin also took the Zerg invasion quite seriously. Once the numbers reached a certain point, his formidable strength, which he took pride in, wouldn't have much use. If it really came down to a fight to the death without retreat, the scenario of many ants biting an elephant to death wasn't impossible.
Although he still had a way out, he didn't really want to give up on this universe. Naturally, he accepted Tony Stark's request.
However, similarly, he also requested that Tony Stark hand over one person to him: Jimmy, nicknamed Leech, the Mutant cure from the original story.
This guy was the biggest flashpoint for future conflicts with the Mutants. Shin planned to simply take him to the X Academy; it could be seen as showing sincerity to those Mutants.
In fact, the military and government research departments were naturally quite reluctant about this. However, Shin didn't care at all. As long as he made it a fait accompli and then let Tony Stark help them clean up the mess... "This must be the experimental base where that little fellow is being held, right?"
Wanda looked at the lonely island in the ocean with some surprise on her face. "These people really take him seriously enough!"
"It's normal," Shin said with a smile. "Regarding Mutants, ordinary people's perceptions are very complex. They despise those who are weak and powerless and have undergone mutations, while also envying and being jealous of those powerful Mutants."
"But for the ruling class, their only thought regarding Mutants is fear! Fear of the Mutants' power that exceeds common logic!"
The Mutant race lacks sufficient stability. You never know if an ordinary person will suddenly turn into a monster capable of easily destroying a city in the next second. This also leads to them being widely feared by the upper echelons of society.
It is precisely because of this that the Mutant Leech, a guy who can strip away all Mutant abilities, immediately became a trump card in the eyes of the high-ranking officials. It could be said that no amount of importance placed on him would be too much.
"Stop! Who are you?"
Shin brought Wanda to the entrance of the island. Several soldiers looked very alert and pointed their guns directly at Shin.
These people were much more elite than the guards Shin had encountered at the experimental base researching giants back then. They clearly weren't the kind of guys who would play dead and just drift through the day.
However, for Shin, this was actually meaningless. Shin opened his mouth and gently blew a breath. A terrifying cold wind swept through, and the two were instantly frozen into ice sculptures.
As Shin took action, alarms immediately blared throughout the base. Amidst the sound of clattering footsteps, besides various guards, some crude Sentinel robots also appeared before Shin, aiming at him and firing directly with a 'da-da-da-da' sound.
Of course, this was useless. With a sweep of the Heat Vision from Shin's eyes, those first-generation Sentinel robots, which still used thermal weapons, were turned into a pile of molten scrap metal on the ground.
Shin, who possessed Super Vision, had no interest in wandering around this maze-like underground base. First, he blew a Cold Breath, freezing all the guards. Then, with a beam of Heat Vision, he blasted through countless walls, leading directly to the deepest part of the base—the room of the Mutant boy, Jimmy the Leech.
"Let's go," Shin said to the Scarlet Witch with a smile. The two of them gently floated off the ground and flew right in front of Jimmy.
This little boy didn't look as cute as he did in the movies. His skin had a faint iron-blue and somewhat transparent color, and his eyes were very large, looking a bit like a frog's.
Although this image was different from the movie, it was very similar to the one in the comics. Although the Leech in the comics could suppress all Mutant abilities, he had no way to suppress the changes in his own appearance.
The little boy seemed a bit nervous. As they got closer, a look of terror appeared on his face. Shin even faintly felt that his Superman abilities were being suppressed.
Although his Chakra hadn't disappeared, it became very sluggish and extremely difficult to mobilize. Superman's unique biological magnetic field and bio-energy also became lifeless. His Devil Fruit abilities felt as if they were being suppressed by Sea Stone, unable to be activated.
Even so, his physical strength didn't suffer any suppression. Clearly, Leech's ability could suppress all energy and superpowers, but it had no way to revert a body that had already been strengthened.
It made sense when he thought about it; physical strength was a matter of pure physical laws. If that could also be suppressed, it would be too unscientific.
But even so, it was enough to surprise Shin. Clearly, this guy wasn't that little fellow from the movie who could only suppress the x-gene, but the full-powered Leech from the comics who could suppress all super-powered individuals.
The Leech in the comics was much more abnormal than the one in the movie. It could be said that his ability could counter the vast majority of Superheroes. Except for tech-based Superheroes like Iron Man and Superheroes who were originally ordinary humans, other Superheroes, even those as strong as the Sentry, could potentially be screwed over by him.
Just as Shin and Wanda stepped close to Leech, many laser emitters appeared on the surrounding walls, and red lasers were fired at the two of them.
