Jidan had endured so much pain and spent so many years in the Dark Canyon, he had to be far calmer than anyone else, quickly. He knew that if they really wanted to achieve happiness together, there would inevitably be some contradictions between them, and these contradictions would continue to compound over time until eventually, the so-called feelings no longer existed.
He would rather have the current emotions end as they were, at least leaving behind a piece of beautiful memory. He did not want to harbor regrets years later.
If they truly regretted, then all this existence would be for naught. Many things happened out of emotional impulsiveness, without considering the consequences, until the future when both would feel regret, all would have ceased to exist.
