Chapter 326 - 316: Gave Otosaka Yuu a Beating

Mongolia, Khongoryn Els Desert

The yellow sand danced in the air, the endless sand waves stretching all the way to the horizon, without a hint of green. No plant could take root here.

The ground was marked with grooves carved by the wind, disordered and dry, with a few lonely sand dunes in the distance. Under the scorching sun, they radiated a burning heat!

In this desert, a laboratory was burning fiercely, thick smoke rising into the air, clashing with the surrounding yellow sand environment.

Two completely different laughter sounds came from above the desert, making the surrounding yellow sand tremble slightly!

"Although I don't know why, but this Russia, you can't return!"

Hakuto stood atop a sand dune, holding a hairpin made of pure gold. Blood was dripping continuously from the hairpin, but it didn't seem to be Hakuto's blood.

Not far from Hakuto, Otosaka Yuu was kneeling on the ground, one hand pressed against his left eye, blood continuously flowing from between his fingers.

The intense pain had almost overloaded Otosaka Yuu's brain.

To understand how things came to this, we have to go back half an hour.

Half an hour ago, on the yellow sand not far from the laboratory, Otosaka Yuu lay on the ground, laughing maniacally while looking at the sky.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"

"I am a god! A god of death! It's decided! Tomorrow, I will conquer the world!"

"I'm strong! I deserve to do this!"

Due to prolonged lack of rest and the plundering of immense power, Otosaka Yuu was now like a deranged lunatic.

He didn't remember anything, didn't know anything, all he knew was that he was incredibly strong! Invincible!

Around Otosaka Yuu, there were more than ten people lying haphazardly.

Some were wearing white lab coats, appearing to be in their thirties or forties.

Others wore hospital gowns and appeared to be around the same age as Otosaka Yuu.

They must have been lab staff and test subjects...

Hakuto, with half an apple in his mouth, observed from a distance and nodded.

As for Otosaka Yuu's talk about conquering the world, Hakuto wasn't interested. He had more important matters to attend to, although he couldn't quite remember what they were.

(눈_눈)... Whatever, it's troublesome... What does it have to do with me?

However, the next moment, Otosaka Yuu pulled out a map and marked an "X" on the location of Russia.

"It's decided! I'll start from here!"

Hakuto frowned. Although he didn't know what "starting" meant, he remembered that Russia was no longer a land of ability users.

Now, Otosaka Yuu was probably planning to plunder all of Mongolia's abilities before moving on to China.

Of course, Hakuto didn't know any of that. All he knew was that Russia had already been "cleaned out," and he couldn't go back.

After all, someone had told Hakuto that what he was doing right now was like a "world tour."

Who goes on a world tour while also revisiting old places?

Thinking this, Hakuto felt he should give Otosaka Yuu a bit of a warning.

Hakuto held the half-eaten apple in his hand, thought for a moment, then decisively tossed it aside.

He tore a cloth strip from his clothes and tied his hair back.

Ever since his earring had been shattered by a sniper rifle last time, Hakuto had placed everything he considered important into his bag.

Although he wasn't sure why, a hairpin was meant for tying up hair, not for stabbing someone's eye...

Hakuto looked at the blood-dripping hairpin in his hand and furrowed his brows. Attacking someone's eye... he didn't remember having this habit.

"You... who are you?"

"Didn't you want to become a god?"

"Are you... my enemy?"

"I've wanted to beat you up for a long time!"

Otosaka Yuu lowered his head.

At this moment, his eyes were covered by an eye patch, and he had been slashed by Hakuto, leaving him completely blind. He couldn't see anything at all.

Normally, Otosaka Yuu would have removed his eye patch in such a situation, but he didn't do that.

"Yuu-nii... no matter what happens, you must never take off the eye patch that Ayumi made for you~"

Otosaka Yuu shook his head. This eye patch was something very precious to him...

He touched his bloody left eye wound, and the next second, a faint green glow appeared on his fingers.

As the glow touched the wound, the once horrifying injury began to heal at a visible rate.

Once his eye was healed, Otosaka Yuu looked toward the sand dune where Hakuto had been, but there was no sign of him.

All that remained was the vast yellow sand.

"Yuu-nii, remember to come find Ayumi..."

Otosaka Yuu shook his head and stopped thinking about where Hakuto had gone, as it seemed he had started to remember something.

"Where to go..."

"Right, I still have to go..."

Otosaka Yuu looked at the spot where Hakuto had left, and sighed to himself.

"I'll definitely kill you when I have the chance..."

China, Xinjiang

For some reason, as soon as Hakuto stepped over the border, he felt unexpectedly lighter.

He didn't know whether it was because he had left his homeland or because this was the last stop.

The morning light was just beginning to show, and Hakuto stood silently atop a mountain peak.

The mountain wind gently brushed past, and his ink-black long hair fluttered wildly, with a few strands playfully brushing his cheek.

He gazed at the distant mountains stretching endlessly, as if he wanted to take in all the vastness of the world.

Tibet, one of China's major autonomous regions, had a population distribution far lower than that of other provinces.

Fortunately, Hakuto didn't suffer from altitude sickness, or else he might have turned red and thrown up.

With over 1.4 billion people in China, the number of ability users was also far higher than in other countries.

"The last one..." Hakuto took out a map and circled the location of China.

Once this last one was done, he could leave... but where was he supposed to go after that?

His eyes hurt so much, he really wanted to sleep...

Hakuto rubbed his eyes. Although he could see tiny details from a thousand meters away, his vision was still blurry if he wasn't in a normal state.

It was strange.

Everything else in his body seemed fine, but his eyes were the only problem.

___

Again, his conditions doesn't make any sense since it was mentioned earlier that his body is adapting and getting stronger to his ability.

Come on dude..

By the way, I kinda get it why Yuu can't do it like how he did in the og. Since his role was stolen by Hakuto.

What was meant to temper his will and give him an anchor (in this case Nao) to not go overly crazy like this is gone.
