Two days later...
Rina was in the bedroom Pacing worriedly. Today was the fifth day and Rita was nowhere to be found.
She didn't know how much longer she could maintain this charade.
And she didn't know how much longer she could pull away from Rafaele.
He had attempted to Kiss her thrice now and she had managed to deflect it to a kiss cheer instead.
How much longer could she deny him until he got suspicious. After all to him, they were on good terms, so why would she deny him affection.
Even worse! she and Rita shared the same cycle. Her fertile period would soon be here and Rafaele would expect them to have intercourse.
What was she going to do then?
And her job! She had taken a three day leave and they would already be expecting her.

She didn't even know where Rita was, how could Rita be so selfish, stubborn and foolish?

There was a knock on the door and then it opened. It was Luna Rosa.
"Rita dear, your parents are here to see you."
Rina's heart thumped wildly. Her parents! had they discovered she and Rita switched places?
"Rita, are you coming?" Luna Rosa asked, breaking her out of her reverie.
"yes, I am coming" Rita replied.
With a heavy heart, she followed Luna Rosa downstairs to the living room.
Her parents, Rafaele and Jax were in the living room.
"My darling" her mother rushed to hug her.
Rina hugged her back awkwardly. Although she and her mother shared a close relationship, they didn't do much of hugs. Rita and her mother did the hugs and the kisses.
"Hey mom" she said, patting her back.
Her mother led her to the couch to sit.
Her father kissed her on the forehead.
"Hey princess" he smiled at her.
Rina's heart sank, her father only called Rita, 'Princess'.
"Darling, we have come with worrying news" her mother said anxiously.
"What is it mum?" Rina asked.
"When last did you see Rina?" her father asked.
"Last week, when i paid her a visit" Rina replied.
"Did she tell you she was going anywhere?"
"Yes, she said she was going on a work trip"
" She told us the same thing that she was going on a work trip for two days, but it's past two days and she isn't back yet. We went to her workplace but they said she wasn't sent on a work trip, she had taken a leave of absence for two days. They are also clueless about her whereabouts." her father explained.
Her mother held her hands. "Rita dear, you have to be honest with us, did your sister tell you about where she was going. we need to know"
"All she told me was that she was going on a work trip" Rina replied.
"Oh no! my daughter is missing" her mother wailed.
"Please calm down mother don't become panicked" Rafaele tried to calm her.
"Does she have any friends we can ask about her whereabouts?" Jax asked.
"No, she doesn't, she only goes to work and then back home" her father replied.
Rina groaned inwardly at her lack of a social life.
"Or maybe she went for a private work trip" Rafaele suggested.
"Rina isn't like that, she is a straightforward girl, she doesn't lie, if my daughter says she is going somewhere then that is where she is going." her father told Rafaele.
Rina's heart ached, her poor father, he was right, she always told the truth. But this time, she had lied and he had no idea.
"I will talk to the alpha of your pack and we will organize search parties immediately" Rafaele proposed.
"Thank you son, that is a good idea" her father thanked him.
"Rita, you and Rina should have a twin bond, we can find her through that, we just have to employ the services of a witch" Jax suggested.
"Witches can be picky, do you think we can get them to help?" Rafaele asked.
"One of them owes me a favour"
"Good, Rita prepare a room for mom, l and dad will head back to the pack to speak to the alpha"
"Okay" Rina replied.
"Jax get in contact with your wish, Rain go and inform the sentries that they should be ready for the search party" Rafaele instructed.
Everyone quickly went to do as he instructed.
Luna Rosa helped Rina's mother up. "It's okay Rita dear, I will show your mother to the room"
"Thank you" Rina whispered.
Luna Rosa patted her shoulder gently before leaving.
Rafaele sat beside her and put his arm around her.
"are you okay?" he asked.
Rina nodded, too overcome with guilt to say anything.
Rafaele rubbed her shoulder gently.
"We will find her, you don't need to worry, okay?"
Rina nodded.
Rafaele kissed her forehead before leaving.
Rina went outside to the meeting spot.
Just as it had been for the past days, it was empty.
"Where the hell are you Rita?" she yelled.
Her voice echoed back at her.
Rina sank to the ground sobbing. "Rita, please i beg you, come back. They all think i am missing, mom and dad are distraught. This isn't funny anymore"
Rina sobbed, she ran her hands through her hair messing it up. She didn't know what to do.
If she confessed, her family's name and reputation would be ruined. Rafaele's reputation would also be ruined, if word got out that his mate had left home to see another man. And that her twin sister had switched places with her without anyone noticing, he would be the laughing stock of everyone.
But what it Rita was in trouble? Maybe the witch Jax proposed would be a good idea.
"Rita, are you okay?" she looked up, it was Rain who looked alarmed.
She nodded. He helped her up, smoothed her hair and removed the dirt on her body.
"Let's go back home so you can rest okay?"
She nodded.
