"So, the people who came to pick you up earlier were from the Shinomiya family? Did you do something wrong to get kicked out?"
Back at home, as soon as Shin booted up his game, he was immediately messaged by Gabriel, who had already returned.
After explaining that he had attended a banquet hosted by the Shinomiya family, Gabriel finally understood where the luxury car that had picked him up earlier came from.
While working as a maid in Shin's household, Gabriel had already learned from the other maids about his connection with the Shinomiya family.
But judging by the attitude of the Shinomiya family's representatives today, it seemed their relationship with Shin wasn't just business—his status within the family was likely quite high.
"Tch… Lucky you. The Shinomiya family is so wealthy. If only I could cozy up to them too…"
In the game, Gabriel didn't hold back in expressing her thoughts.
As an angel, she possessed many abilities beyond ordinary humans. If she really wanted to, she could easily use them to gain the Shinomiya family's favor.
But the problem was—she was still an angel. Heaven had strict regulations on how angels could use their powers. If Gabriel dared to exploit them for personal gain, she'd likely be forcibly recalled to Heaven the next day.
In contrast, demons had far fewer restrictions on their abilities. Aside from not being allowed to reveal themselves to most humans, they could basically use their powers freely.
Unfortunately, the two demons Gabriel knew—one was a pushover, and the other was a lazy bum—neither was the type to abuse their powers for personal profit.
"At this point, wanting to cozy up to the Shinomiya family isn't anything special."
Shin responded like this.
Now that the Shinomiya family was essentially his, Gabriel working as his maid was no different from currying favor with them. If she wanted anything, the Shinomiya family would deliver it to her.
Of course, Gabriel hadn't realized this yet. She still saw herself as just a maid—though only during work hours.
In-game, her attitude toward Shin was as casual and unrestrained as ever.
"You don't get it! I don't want to work for the Shinomiya family—I want to do nothing and still have money rolling in like you!"
Gabriel couldn't help but complain.
Honestly, she envied Shin's lifestyle. From her perspective, he barely did anything—just lazed around at home, flirting with girls all day. It annoyed her to no end.
…Though she wasn't sure if her frustration stemmed from his carefree, wealthy life or the fact that he was surrounded by so many girls.

"Can't I sleep with Papa tonight?"
After finishing his game and taking a shower, Shin returned to his room to find Illya hugging a pillow, pouting as she asked this.
It seemed she had enjoyed last night's experience of sleeping with Shin and the others so much that she wanted to do it again.
But while yesterday he had indulged her since it was her first day in this world, this time, Tohru wasn't having it.
Shin could even see Tohru inside the room, practically vibrating with indignation—clearly unwilling to let this little intruder disrupt her plans for the night.
"Illya, you're already independent. Shouldn't you be able to sleep alone by now?"
Tohru crouched down, patting Illya's head with a patient smile.
Honestly, Illya wasn't normally this clingy. Sleeping alone wouldn't have been an issue for her.
But seeing the other girls in the room, she couldn't help but feel a little unhappy.
Having grown up without parental affection, she had finally found a "father" in Shin—only to now have to share him with so many others.
In short, Illya—once starved for love—had developed a slightly possessive side after becoming Shin's "daughter."
She liked everyone in the room, but now that they were all monopolizing her father, she couldn't help but feel a little upset.
Not enough to turn into her Fate/Stay Night self, but there was definitely some resentment brewing.
"Don't worry, there'll be plenty of chances later."
Shin walked into the room, ruffling Illya's hair reassuringly.
He could sense her attachment to him as her "new father," but he didn't see it as a problem.
Kids being clingy is normal.
"Fine… If Papa says so…"
Seeing Shin's stance, Illya reluctantly gave in.
At the very least, she had gotten his promise—that was enough for now.
"Don't be sad, Illya. Kanna will sleep with you."
Perhaps noticing Illya's dejected expression, Kanna walked over and offered with a smile.
Despite the massive age gap, at least in appearance, Kanna and Illya were both elementary schoolers—peers, in a sense.
(Though Kanna looked even younger, so they weren't in the same grade.)
Considering they were both part of Shin's household now, they'd have plenty of time to bond.
---
"Honestly, Papa sleeps with so many people—why can't I join too?"
Walking down the hallway after leaving the room, Illya couldn't help but grumble.
The room had been packed, but Shin's bed was easily large enough to fit everyone—adding one more shouldn't have been an issue.
Kanna, walking beside her (or rather, floating slightly), overheard Illya's complaint and adopted a knowing expression. Leaning in, she whispered:
"Actually… I know why."
Then, she proceeded to share some "knowledge" she had picked up from Tohru earlier.
Clearly, while Tohru had learned a lot about human customs, she hadn't quite grasped that some topics weren't suitable for children.
Shin had done well in shielding Kanna from inappropriate influences, but Tohru had inadvertently enlightened her about… adult activities.
Upon hearing Kanna's explanation, Illya's face turned bright red.
So THAT'S why Papa wouldn't let a kid sleep with them!
