An hour later…
Deep in a wooded area, holding Gabrielle in his arms, was Kenton walking triumphantly as Lexster followed close behind him.
"I've done it," Kenton cheered, "I've brought down one of the most feared kings. I've done it, I've won."
"What about Gabrielle," Lexster inquired.
"What about her," Kenton retorted, "She has nothing to do with my success."
"I mean she's slowly bleeding out as we speak… We need to stop somewhere so that I can attend to her wounds," Lexster informed.
"Our stop isn't for another ten miles, so she'll have to wait until then to get treatment," Kenton responded.
"Ten miles? By the way, she's bleeding out. I don't think she won't make it until then. She needs treatment now," Lexster stated, his heart racing in concern.
"She's been through far worse," Kenton snickered, "Besides, I'm not going to stop walking just for you to treat a flesh wound. She'll be fine."
