Hearing someone mention figurines, Otto raised an eyebrow and smugly added, "Heh, no way it beats my Kallen collection."
Watching everyone's focus drift off-topic, Theresa stomped her feet in frustration and shouted, "Hey hey hey! You guys knock it off! We haven't even made a wish yet, what do we do now?!"
------------------------------
As Theresa's voice fell, everyone fell into deep thought.
After a while, Fu Lin scratched his head and asked tentatively, "Um... how about we summon it again?"
Fu Shi's eyes lit up and she agreed, "Good idea!"
So, Fu took a deep breath and shouted loudly, "Come forth! dragon!"
As his voice dropped, the sky once again turned dark with clouds, lightning flashing and thunder roaring.
However, this time, the dragon did not appear. Everyone looked at each other in confusion, expressions of puzzlement on their faces. "What's going on? Why is there no reaction? Could it be broken?"
Fu Lin frowned, completely baffled.
As the crowd buzzed with discussion, suddenly, a piece of music began playing, at times low and gentle, at times grand and stirring.
"Music again!" Kiana exclaimed in surprise.
As the music progressed, the lyrics gradually became clear,
"The tides of the pastEtched my scars into dragon scalesBreath brewed with storm and cloudBloodline and rootsWoven beneath my flesh into fate..."
Then, the music entered its climax.
"Tear apart the body and set free,A mighty roar of thunder,Shaking the soul and stirring the heart,Stormy seas rage...."
At the peak of the music , the long-awaited dragon finally appeared before everyone, now fully dressed.
At this moment, his expression was as calm as still water, completely unfazed, as if the earlier embarrassment had never happened.
Then, dragon slowly floated into the air, his long robe fluttering in the wind, giving off an ethereal aura.
Next, he looked down upon the crowd with an air of majesty and mystery, and said, "I will grant you any wish... speak your wish."
dragon's voice echoed like a great bell in everyone's ears.
Kiana asked curiously, "Can you really grant any wish?"
The dragon nodded and replied confidently, "That's right."
Hearing dragon's affirmation, Fu Lin pondered for a moment, then spoke seriously, "I wish for this world to be forever at peace, with no war, no Honkai, and no disasters."
However, dragon's expression suddenly became a bit awkward, his brows slightly furrowed, showing a hint of dissatisfaction. He shot a glance at Fu Lin and said with some irritation, "********, choose another."
Seeing this, Fu Lin crossed his arms and questioned flatly, "Did you just curse at me?"
The dragon quickly waved his hands in denial, "No, no, no, you must have misheard. I am your creation, cursing you would be like cursing myself. Why would I insult myself, "
The dragon's tone was firm, as if he truly believed what he was saying.
Fu Lin stared at the dragon who looked exactly like himself. Though he still had some doubts, he reluctantly accepted the explanation.
Then Fu Lin turned to Kiana and said, "Alright then, Kiana, if you have a wish, go ahead and say it."
Kiana stood quietly in place, her face showing a complex expression that was hard to describe.
Just the thought of finally being able to meet the mother she had never seen made her heart tighten as if gripped by an invisible force, making it hard to breathe.
And she wasn't the only one feeling this way.
The already-married Kiana☆, though appearing calm on the surface, was also clenching Fu Lin's arm a bit tighter, showing her inner turmoil.
During this brief moment, countless thoughts flashed through both Kiana's minds, 'Would mother like me...?'
These worries loomed over their hearts like dark clouds, making them feel heavier and heavier.
However, Kiana didn't let these negative emotions linger. She took a deep breath, as if trying to exhale all her anxiety and doubt.
As for Kiana☆, with Fu Lin offering comfort beside her, her nerves were slightly eased.
Just as Kiana took a step forward, preparing to state her wish, Otto suddenly stepped in front of her.
Otto knelt on one knee with devotion, his right hand over his chest, eyes fixed solemnly on dragon, and spoke respectfully, "Honorable dragon, please resurrect the Saint Kallen Kaslana from five hundred years ago!"
As soon as Otto made his wish, Fu Lin and Fu Shi instantly grabbed him by the collar and hurled him backward. Immediately after, their feet rained down on him like a storm.
Fu Lin kept muttering as he stomped, "I know you're in a hurry, but you need to wait your turn! Kiana hasn't even spoken yet and you're already cutting in, don't you have any decency?"
Fu Shi was equally unrelenting, kicking Otto hard while shouting toward Fu Hua, "Hey, old antique! Come help us kick this shameless guy!"
Fu Hua stood aside, hesitant as she looked at Otto on the ground.
She knew this might not be appropriate, but seeing the furious expressions of Fu Shi and Fu Lin, she ultimately decided to join the "brawl."
Fu Hua quickly walked over to Otto, raised her foot, and kicked without hesitation. Her move was swift and decisive, as if she had been holding it in for a long time.
"Die! Die!"
The three shouted in unison, their voices intertwining in the open space, forming a bizarre "harmony."
Just like that, Otto, caught off guard by the sudden assault, could only cover his head with his hands, trying to shield himself from their kicks.
However, it didn't do much. He could only roll on the ground in a sorry state.
While everyone was watching the three beat up Otto, Otto's wish quietly came true.
Not far away, a pure white figure suddenly appeared , it was the Saint Kallen, whom Otto had dreamed of reviving.
Kallen slowly opened her eyes, looking around in confusion, seemingly unsure of what had happened.
Then, she reached down to touch her abdomen, there should have been a massive wound there, caused by being impaled by a Honkai beast.
Yet now, her stomach was completely healed, without a single scar.
Kallen was astonished. Looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, her heart was full of confusion,
'Where is this? What happened to my wound? Could this be the afterlife?'
Just as Kallen was lost in thought, the commotion in the distance caught her attention.
Following the sound, among the crowd, a glint of gold caught her eye.
Kallen's eyes lit up. She exclaimed, "Judah?!"
She then walked straight toward Theresa, who was carrying Judah on her back. Gently tapping Theresa's shoulder, Kallen gave a warm smile and asked softly, "Little one, what's going on here? And where did this cross on your back come from?"
Theresa was startled by the sudden tap. She spun around with a frown and said, "Nothing much, just grandpa cutting in line and getting beat up for it. As for Judah, obviously, grandpa gave it to me. Also, here, please refer to me by my title, call me Headmaster."
But when Theresa saw Kallen's face clearly, a strange feeling suddenly welled up inside her. Her tone, once stern, now turned a bit stammered.
"Y-You are... Saint Kallen?!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, Theresa stared tensely at Kallen, her heart pounding wildly.
Kallen, upon seeing Theresa's face, also paused briefly.
She gazed at the cute little girl in front of her, feeling a strange sense of closeness.
This feeling was so strong that Kallen felt as if there was some kind of blood connection between her and Theresa, as if they were family.
