It's the day of the sports festival, both classes sit in the waiting room, Madow looking at a hologram showing the stadium while taking some glances at the competition before his attention is drawn further into the hologram by someone appearing in the middle of the stadium in a puff of green smoke.
"Welcome everyone! To the one hundred and thirty-fifth edition of the Irohe, sports, festival!" The class B teacher announces while making a pose.
"Our glorious heroes to be will start with a little warm-up, they will be going through a-" He looks at a little note on his hand "A 6 km race with a bunch of obstacles! Yeah, that's it, Upchuck out." He then releases a cloud of green smoke from his mouth and disappears
By this point, the students are at the start line, readying their quirks. Leviathan makes a giant hand of water, "Here" He then throws a punch right at Karma, landing right on his ribs.
"Thanks, bro" Karma is now filled with kinetic energy.
As soon as the alarm goes off all the students start to run at incredible speeds, Leviathan however is jumping back, while the rest are stopping each on the door, Leviathan has thrown a tentacle on the ground which he then uses its elasticity to whip him out of there, covering himself in a water drill and flying over the bunch.
A tall girl with tanned skin seems to have the same idea, her quirk seems similar to madow, but the tentacles she makes are much more defined, although that probably makes them more rigid. She gives him a thumbs up for having similar quirks, but he doesn't respond.
Covering hundreds of meters in seconds he's already at the first obstacle, a bunch of zero-point robots, he just shoots a jet at one of them to use it to swing upward while increasing his speed, Karma tough dashes right through one of the robots.
His water jets have left a bunch of water in the track, he tries to avoid most other students, except one. He freezes the floor right under StarLux, making her slip.
Some other students are keeping pace with him, notably Sans is flying around in the skull of the whale, and Bifrost is in the lead, for them it's just a couple of steps to travel hundreds of meters.
The next obstacle is up ahead, a 1km tall volcano, it's questionable how they even built this, the only way to pass it is by going over, as it's wider than the limits of the track.
Leviathan starts to shoot spikes of ice into the side of the volcano, as he gets closer the heat from the lava melts the ice and they turn into water tentacles, each one throwing him into the next until he's over the volcano, when at the top he launches a rope, redirecting his momentum downward so he can slide down the volcano in a snowboard, making a ramp right at the end to get back in the air.
He can see from this distance of about 2km that there are mines as the next obstacle, it's pretty far but there are pretty big signs, he just shoots a barrage of spikes, exploding most of the minefield in a giant cloud of smoke.
The smoke makes it impossible for Bifrost to teleport by removing their line of sight, they look up screaming at Leviathan. To apologize he grabs them with a water rope and throws them into the air, they're confused for a second before being able to see the finish line over the smoke, teleporting to it.
"And we have the first ones to arrive! Bifrost in first place, and Leviathan in a close second. Makes me a little jealous of Eraser King! But not too jealous, as the third one to arrive is Sans! This year is just filled with wonderful talent, got me thirsty just from watching them run, thirsty for an ice-cold can of Pepsi!-" He segways into an ad.
After a while, people keep arriving until the bell rings "And these are the winners for the race portion, but not to worry for the ones that were a bit slower, there will be a second chance game for you, a loser's bracket if you will, while our winners are going to be in a team match!"
A big screen lights up, names flashing across the screen as the teams are formed at random his team ends up being 'Karma, Bifrost, Moon Knight, and Ben Ten' On the losers' side he can see the names, one that jumps out at him is 'StarLux', "As expected."
He goes over to his teammates "Nagakabouros provides." Leaving them both confused
"Oh hey, isn't the deity Illaoi is always on about?" He extends his hand for a handshake "I'm Ben by the way."
Madow remembers having seen him before, in his little class-B excursion, he remembers that Ben was standing over a mock villain, doing a pose to show everyone how great he was. Madow begins to T-pose, mimicking what Ben had done.
Ben is immediately embarrassed "Oh, you saw that..." He tries to change subjects quickly "So, if we're on the same team, what are your quirks?" He lifts his arm, which catches flames. Leviathan nods at this. "I can control my DNA, it even lets me copy other quirks, provided that I study them enough."
"Can you use more than 1 quirk at a time?"
"Well, physically, yes. But doing that requires way too much mental effort, and it makes it very hard to turn back, so I prefer to avoid doing it."
Leviathan begins to point at the members while saying their quirks "Bifrost can make portals, Karma can absorb and redirect energy, I can control water, and Moon Knight, is a badass?" He's confused about that last one. "What quirks do you have in your arsenal?"
"Oh about 10 cool ones, I've been studying quirks for quite a while, so I've put a lot of effort into these, modifying and optimizing them."
Moon Knight interjects "Moon Kight has complete control over his body, similar to Ben, but without being able to change it. He can control adrenaline levels, the beat of his heart, even his focus or hormonal levels."
"Can you spit stomach acid?"
"Probably"
"What about if you get mind controlled, does the quirk extend to your mind?"
"In fact, it does, Moon Knight's quirk is the only one in control of his body"
"I assume you'd also have faster regen and super strength." He nods, Leviathan then turns back to Ben. "I've actually studied a lot about quirks as well, they're very cool. What do yours do?"
"Yeah, they're awesome! You're pretty cool huh? Well, glad you asked, I actually have a list for when I need to remind myself of the DNA makeup." He shows a hologram coming out of his watch, listing 10 alien-like forms.
They spend a bit of time discussing the form, and possible uses in this fight.
Leviathan closes his mouth before spitting a ball of water and handing it to Ben, prompting a confused look. "That's my spit." Confusion turns to horror.
"My DNA could be useful for ripjaws, you should look into it before the fight. Just one condition, not using it on me or the rest of the team in future events" Bifrost giggles at the name, finding it dumb. The spit gets stored inside the watch.
"You have frost in your name and don't even use ice, be quiet. Actually while on the theme of ice, you should really mark some extreme places such as the Arctic for later teleportation."
The ground suddenly begins to float into the air, Eraser King is at the center giving a proper explanation of the rules.
"There will be 6 teams of 5, the main goal is to steal the totems in the center of the floating islands, the team with the most totems will advance directly to the tournament, and the rest will go into the loser's bracket." Leviathan's expression shifts a bit at this.
"Being knocked off the island, giving up, or being rendered unable to continue fighting will count as eliminations, if your totem is still on your island at that point, you can come back from an elimination."
As they fly up, he asks Ben for a list of his classmates' quirks. "Most noteworthy would be Sans, who can absorb and replicate and control bones. And Gus, honestly, he might be one of the strongest in the class, he has illusions that can perfectly trick your senses, you might find yourself on the ground without even knowing why." He points at the 11-year-old kid in another team.
"Understood, give me a couple minutes to make some counters against your class' quirks." Karma and Bifrost look at him with offended looks at the implication that he already has countermeasures against their class. Moon Knight literally hasn't moved a single muscle since the last time he talked.
"Karma, slashing attacks and attacks with low kinetic energy, such as grapples. Bifrost, messing with your vision and or sense of balance, also you're overconfident on frontal attacks, so surprise attacks would work best, especially when you think you've won"
All the two can reply with is "Damm" in unison, Moon Knight even twitches a little. Ben is a bit surprised "Oh wow, it's impressive you guys also have a guy like this, this big nerd energy also reminds me of my cousin."
"Yours is just multitasking, multiple types of simultaneous attacks will work." Ben grimaces a little "I guess I should be countering the other teams"
The floating ground they're standing on is arriving at floating islands that are way up in the sky, in the center of the island there is a totem in the shape of a large egg. In the sky scoreboards can be seen, listed with them are the members of all teams.

"We've got a few minutes to start so I should tell you guys the plan while we have the time." Leviathan gets their attention "Also, team 6 will be teaming up with us." Before they even have time to process that last part, he's already explaining the plan.
