Chapter 65: Dumbledore Shock

It was shockingly easy for Argus Filch to learn the Patronus Charm. For most wizards, it was considered advanced magic and very difficult to master even with years of training. But for Argus, the moment he truly tapped into magic was more than just a spell. The moment he took the wand and finally cast a spell is the happiest moment in his life.

He had done fantastic job, casting a lumos spell is an easy peasy.

Dudley knows why it was very easy to learn magic, it is because the potion make all the DNA generate the magic at 100% input and release it at 100% output.

That is why Dudley wanted to test either he can learn Patronus Charm or not.

With Dudley guidance, Argus found that casting a Patronus was very easy and he also shocked that this spell are one of the highest difficult magic to learn

"Remember what I told you" remind Dudley. "You need to remember the happiest moment in your life"

Argus nodded he then closed his eyes and cast.

"Expecto Patronum"

The end of his wand lit up and in a burst of silver light, a fully-formed Patronus emerged from the tip of his wand.

It was a cat, the beast look so elegant and somehow looked as if it had been waiting its whole life to stretch and leap into the world. Argus stared at it, eyes wide, mouth slightly open. His lips trembled not from fear, but from something far deeper it is happiness seeing the cat.

"Amazing! Even I can't cast a Patronus," Hannah Abbott commented.

Dudley turned to Argus, smiling. "What were you thinking about when you cast the spell, Argus?"

Argus did not take his eyes off the Patronus. He answered softly, "It was the moment I could finally use magic. That feeling... it was the best moment of my life."

Dudley didn't know what to say. He had expected Argus to recall some fond childhood memory, or perhaps the moment someone had once shown him kindness. But this—this was it. Just now. That tiny second when Argus had proven he wasn't powerless and he wasn't a squib. That was the best moment of his entire life.

Speechless, Dudley eventually cleared his throat. "Oh… congratulations," he said gently, his voice carrying more emotion than he intended. "Really. Congratulations on the best moment of your life."

"Thank you, Dudley," Argus said, still smiling as the Patronus twirled above their heads. "I won't forget what you've done for me."

As a small gift, Dudley handed him a small vial of potion, the first one is maxima potion and the second one is focus potion. "Take this. You can use it anytime and don't ask me about potion for a while."

Argus held the potion as if it were the most valuable thing in the world.

"Dudley I can pay please brew it for me more" beg Argus.

"Nope, not this time because I was busy and the potion are imperfect you can only become a wizards for a moment and the effect is not permanent"

Argus can only sighed then the next day he is reluctant to drink the potion.

—The Dumbledore Reaction—

By Saturday evening, something strange had taken over Hogwarts. The corridors, classrooms, and even the Great Hall buzzed with one story—Argus Filch had changed. The famously grumpy caretaker, known for glaring at students and mumbling about punishments, was now smiling. Yes he was Smiling.

Earlier that morning, Fred and George Weasley had dropped a dungbomb in the west corridor. As usual. But this time, when Argus arrived, he didn't roar in fury or threaten detention.

He smiled.

"Don't worry. It's just a small problem," he said, calmly waving his wand. "Scourgify!"

In an instant, the mess vanished. The floor sparkled and the air cleared from the smell.

"Don't do it again, alright?" he added, his voice are very kind like Albus Dumbledore when talking to the other student.

Fred and George stood frozen. For the first time in their life, they were at a complete loss for words.

Other students had their own strange encounters. A pair of first-years from Gryffindor were struggling with their Lumos spell in a side corridor.

"Lumos… Loo-mos… why isn't it lighting up?" one asked, confused.

"You're saying it wrong. It's loo-mohs, not loo-mos," the other corrected.

Suddenly, a shadow loomed behind them.

"You're both close," came Argus's voice. "But you also need to hold your wand like this."

He demonstrated the correct motion, and light bloomed from the tip of his wand with ease.

The students gasped. Older students who saw the scene rubbed their eyes and some pinched themselves, unsure if they were dreaming. This was Argus Filch—the man who once celebrated giving detentions. Now he was... teaching?

The story spread rapidly. By the afternoon, nearly every student had heard some version of it. Even staff members exchanged raised eyebrows and whispers in the staff table. Some joked that perhaps Argus had been replaced by Polyjuice. Others wondered if he had hit his head.

Eventually, word reached the Headmaster.

"Impossible," Dumbledore muttered in his office as the tale was relayed to him. He stood from his chair and looked out the window as if expecting to see Filch casting spells on the lawn. "Minerva, I must speak with Argus."

"Why?" Professor McGonagall asked, puzzled.

"Because Argus is a Squib. He cannot do magic. He never could. So how is it possible that he's casting spells?" Dumbledore's tone was quiet but grave.

"What?" Minerva's voice cracked, both hands covering her mouth in disbelief.

"I must find out whether he is truly Argus Filch," Dumbledore continued, now moving toward the door.

Minerva stared at him for a moment, then made a decision. "I'm coming with you."

The two professors walked briskly through the halls of Hogwarts, each step echoing with questions. Could Argus truly become a wizards or is Argus are being kidnapped and his body are being kept so the spy can enter Hogwarts? And if so.. Why?

"Dumbledore are you he is being kidnapped?" asked Minerva. It took around 7 minutes from Headmaster office to Argus Filch caretaker office.

"I don't know Minerva, but I don't think the spy would be so stupid. Just last year moody was being kidnapped and they won't use the same technique" said Dumbledore.

Hi guys, sorry it has been quite a while since the last update. As you know, I had an accident, yeah motorcycle accident and my bone is cracked.

My right hand still twitches badly whenever I type, which makes it difficult to type.

That's why I decided to take a short break. I went to the hospital and they scheduled my next appointment for next month.

Since waiting that long feels unreasonable, I've decided to start updating daily again despite the pain.
