Jessica's POV
I wore a long dress to hide my bandage, still, I couldn't hide it from Liam. He saw the way I was walking, pulled me to a stop and lifted my dress.
"What happened to your leg?"
"It's nothing," I said, pulling the dress down, but he wouldn't buy that.
He suddenly swept me off my feet, making me yelp in surprise. We were on the streets. I felt embarrassed and quickly asked him to put me down but he refused.
"We're going to the hospital," he said.
"No, it's already been treated. Put me down," but he didn't listen.
"Stop resisting. There's no harm in letting a doctor check your wound. The hospital is on the way. You could use the opportunity to check on that guy."
I blinked. He was right. I could check on Tristen. But why was he suggesting it? Didn't he hate Tristen?
Our drive to the hospital, I was on my phone, reading the chats in the group I created. It was fun as everyone was introducing themselves and familiarizing with each other.
