"Times up."
A smile appeared on his face, as the darkness swallowed him whole. But the angel before him wouldn't allow his escape so easily. He jumped into the darkness after him. Using his wings to increase his speed, he bridged the gap between them.
As he closed in, an ominous feeling began to cover his body. His wings started to wilt as he dove deeper. His body began to slowly dissipate into the surrounding darkness. It was only after feeling his life and power being drained, that he decided to halt his pursuit.
Flying in place, he looked down at the man with a scowl on his face.
"I'll remember your face. Your sins will not go unpunished mortal. I will find you. Even if I have to come down to that wretched world."
He watched as the man dissappeared into the darkness with a smile on his face. The man was mocking him, and that made him furious. But all he could do now was return to the chapel he came from and leave him for another day.

The two took their time walking through the forest, enjoying its beauty as they talked. Not far behind them, the fawn and its mother followed. They weren't sure why, curiosity maybe, but it didn't bother them one bit.
As they spoke, he found that he was givin a six day grace period for his body to adjust. In that time his soul and mind would completely recover and link with one another. Then his new found power would be able to flow freely throughout his body, strengthening it further. Although not completely, for there were stages to obtain one's power.
His body was currently at the first stage of the awakening process. Which were labeled, "Lesser Angel/Demon (stage one)", depending on your guide. He was told if anyone were to ask he would have to choose between the two, in order to keep his true origin hidden.
He understood the reasoning so he thought about it for a moment then decided which one he would be considered.
Come nightfall they had reached the outskirts of a small nearby town. The two decided to set up camp and wait till morning before continuing on. As they were setting up their camp, the small fawn and its mother joined them once more helping to gather sticks for the small fire.
It was odd for Scarlett, seeing such creatures up close. Creatures like them usually avoided any outsiders that entered their homes. Yet these two accompanied the two without an ounce of fear. Not that she minded. They were kind and beautiful creatures, and helpful, believe it or not. And the intelligence they showed was remarkable. Especially the little one, being so young yet knowing how to effortlessly use its power to help someone in need. That took talent and intellect.
After setting up everything they needed, Scarlett took a moment to enter her soul domain. She took a moment infront of the mirror, staring into it's now empty reflection. It saddened her, not seeing the small girl. But she smiled, knowing she was safe from harm.
She walked over to the side of the bed and picked up a small book bag. It was the same bag she had when she visited the market in the mortal realm. She decided it would be better to re-enter this realm with a few supplies just incase. Seems she was right to do so.
After a few seconds in the outside world, she opened her eyes and opened the palm of her hand. Small sparks of light began to form in it and after a few seconds the backpack materialized itself.
The dears' ears perked up as it watch in amazement as the foreign object appeared from such beautiful lights.
She sat the bag infront of her then began to dig through it. It wasn't long before she found what she was looking for. She pulled out small bits of food and tossed it over to him.
The sudden act surprised him, he had assumed only weapons could be formed in such a way. He'd only seen it once, from Eris, so maybe he was jumping the gun a bit.
"So you sure you wanna do this? Personally I think it's a terrible idea. Besides it took us three days to get here. You sure you have enough time to find something."
"I'm sure. I'm not looking for anything in specific anyway. As long as I get to see it, that'll be enough to satisfy me. Besides if something goes wrong you've got my back right."
She watched as he ate carelessly. He seemed calm, like there wasn't a care in the world. It was... odd.
Woke up in a foreign world, found yourself surrounded by deep forests and strange creatures. Apparently get sucked into a fight to the death. Which ended up being a strange interaction in hopes of unlocking some secret power you never knew you had. Yet in spite of it all, calm. Nothing but calm, and curiosity.
It didn't take long for him to notice either. Swallowing the last be he tilted his head, as he looked back at her. It was only then that she realized she was staring. She slightly blushed as she turned away and began eating again.
He wondered what she was thinking but decided not to bother. Instead a different thought entered his mind.
"Oh, I just realized you never got to finish your story."
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. She wasn't sure what story he meant. He could see the confusion so he brought the subject back up.
"The man from the cave. You said he was neither demon nor angel, nor was he a daemon like us. So what is he exactly?"
She thought about it for a second, trying to think of how she would put it. She went to speak but froze for a moment. She heard a small snap not to far away, on her right. She looked to Michael, seeing he heard it too. Even the fawn and its mother were on high alert, which could not be good.
Based on their reaction, she ruled out it being another forest creature. Meaning it had to be a person. She looked at Michael and quickly raised a finger to her lips. He nodded at the gesture, then closed his eyes focusing solely on his hearing.
The past three days he hadn't just been traversing the forest sparking conversations. Scarlett had been trying to help him adjust to his new body. Starting with his newly enhanced senses.
Using what he learned in that time, he shut everything out focusing on the area around him. Not even a moment later another snap was heard, but this time he could see it clearly. Not far off there were indeed two human like silhouettes echoing through the forest.
The were quite tall, taller than any human he'd ever seen. He couldn't tell if they held any items or weapons but he could tell they were headed in their direction.
Opening his eyes, he looked to her and nodded. She nodded back then quickly doused the flame with dirt. She then moved quickly dashed towards the two animals. She effortlessly picked them up and carried them some distance away.
Once she returned, she moved close and whispered to him.
"Quickly and quietly. Try your best to keep your body regulated."
"I know, I've got it."
She nodded back then summoned small sparks in each hand. From them two small knives appeared. She tossed one over to him then placed her finger to her lip once more.
"Don't lose it. It's my favorite."
"Understood."
She disappeared right before his eyes, effortlessly blending in to the darkness. He took a deep breath then ducked behind a tree.
"We're close."
"The vile stench has grown stronger over here."
The large figure continued forward. There was something strange attracting the two through the forest. Neither one knew what it was but the feeling it gave them was strong. Hate, anger, and a hint of fear. Those are what was brought on by the strange anomaly.
As they moved closer one of them stumbled upon the small camp. He looked around trying to follow the feeling. Until it got stronger in a certain spot. He searched the spot until he found a small wrapper on the ground near a log. He picked it up and examined it. He turned to show his partner but he wasn't there. He looked around for him, but just assumed he was searching elsewhere. Little did he know his partner had been dealt a cruel hand.
