Chapter 716: Blood Lingzi, Do You Yield?

Boom! Boom!

Thunderous explosions convulsed the sky as waves of spiritual energy clashed endlessly above the Ten‑Thousand Armament Golden Platform. Each pulse of released power was so terrifying that even lesser Earth Supremes were forced to retreat for fear of being vaporized.

"Elder Blood‑Robe, who in the world is this Mo Yu? Even the patriarch can't subdue him!" Blood Cloud exclaimed in disbelief.

Blood Lingzi was not merely the clan patriarch; he was an Upper Earth Supreme, one of the most feared figures across the entire Great Thousand World. Yet unbelievably, even he had failed to suppress Mo Yu—a mere Lower Earth Supreme from a lower realm.

Blood‑Robe's expression darkened, his tone grim. "Throughout the ages, a few have ascended from lower planes to this world. But such ferocity… this is the first I have ever seen.

This man trains in the power of thunder. On his continent below, he must have been the peak of all cultivators—a monstrous prodigy. Once such beings break free of their world's shackles, their potential becomes frightening."

Blood Cloud's face drained of color. "Then what should we do?"

Blood‑Robe's eyes gleamed viciously as he gazed toward the raging battle above. "We wait. If the patriarch defeats him, all the better. But if even he fails—then we gather every Earth Supreme of our clan and strike together!"

Blood Cloud's hands trembled. To dispatch all of the Blood God Clan's Earth Supremes against a single lower‑realm cultivator—if word of that ever leaked out, the entire Great Thousand World would laugh in outrage.

In the skies, Mo Yu's expression had grown solemn. His movements held none of the previous ease—this was the first time since fighting Hun Tiandi that he had felt true pressure.

Blood Lingzi, an Upper Earth Supreme, truly lived up to his rank.

The patriarch's Blood Shadow Dharma Body was formidable, able to shift between the tangible and the ethereal at will. When attacked, it became intangible, letting power pass through; when countering, it condensed into solid energy, striking with lethal precision. An almost perfect balance of offense and defense—it was indeed troublesome.

"Hehe… where is your arrogance now, boy? Do you finally see the power of one who stands above you?" Blood Lingzi sneered, watching Mo Yu's grave expression.

Hidden masters observing from afar nodded inwardly. Blood Lingzi's Dharma Body was known throughout the realms as one of the most vexing to face—even other Upper Earth Supremes suffered headaches against it. How could a Lower Earth Supreme hope to overcome such a foe?

The battle seemed clearly leaning against Mo Yu's favor.

He exhaled slowly; his gaze sharpened. With a single thought, the Heavenly Tyrant Body beneath him stepped back.

"Oh? You're retreating already?" Blood Lingzi mocked. "So you've realized the gap between us after all."

But Mo Yu's calm eyes flickered once—and he began to weave seals with one hand. The heavens answered instantly. Thunderclouds boiled into existence; furious lightning spiraled downward into a raging dragon of thunder that tore through the firmament.

Gasps rose across the world.

Under that apocalypse‑like brilliance, the giant Thunder Body opened its mouth wide. A colossal suction erupted, devouring the storm whole. The energy flowed inward, swelling the body like a living thunder mountain.

"What now?" Blood Lingzi murmured, narrowing his eyes. A smirk tugged at his lips. "So you're just enlarging your Dharma Body? Pointless trickery."

Nearly all watchers shared his disdain. Many powerful onlookers shook their heads, assuming Mo Yu was grasping for a futile spectacle before defeat.

Crack!

Yet in an instant, the heavens seemed to tremble.

The Heavenly Tyrant Body continued expanding—hundreds of feet, thousands, ten thousand—until it towered tens of thousands of zhang high. Waves of divine thunder erupted around it, rolling across the continent in deafening cascades.

When the light stabilized, a massive thunder giant stood among storm clouds, its body sheathed in argent armor coursing with crackling energy. Each pulse of lightning scorched rifts through the air.

The titan still bore its distinctive posture—shield in the left hand, crossbow in the right—and the aura radiating from it made even unseen spectators' hearts pound violently.

"What… what kind of Dharma Body is that?" Even Blood Lingzi's confidence faltered. The oppressive power spreading from the Thunder Giant froze him in place. He finally realized his mistake—he had underestimated Mo Yu.

To call this the same opponent as moments earlier was absurd; the youth's true strength until now had been concealed.

Blood‑Robe's pupils contracted as he stared upward in disbelief. "So… that was his true power all along? Then earlier… I was nothing but a plaything in his hands."

Curses escaped his lips. All around, hidden experts from the other three divine clans stiffened in awe. It had been countless years since a Lower Earth Supreme had fought an Upper Earth Supreme like an equal. Those who could achieve such a feat invariably became legends of the Great Thousand World.

Heartbeats echoed across the arenas as every strong cultivator swallowed hard.

Soon, they realized, the name Mo Yu—the Thunder Emperor—would sweep the world.

Even the powers of the other great clans began to watch intently, quietly pleased to see the arrogant Blood God Clan cornered.

"Mo Yu! Don't assume victory too soon. The battle isn't over yet!" Blood Lingzi barked, voice sharp as ice.

"Then let's see who truly wins."

Mo Yu smiled faintly and waved his hand. At the command, the Heavenly Tyrant Body roared to life, releasing a torrent of lightning that poured from its mouth in a sun‑swallowing flood.

The waves of thunder slashed through the heavens, each spark enough to reduce mountains to ash.

"Blood River Rampart!"

Blood Lingzi reacted swiftly, weaving seals. His colossal Blood Shadow Body opened its mouth and spat forth a vast river of glowing crimson that hardened into layers of thick defenses before him.

Boom!

The lightning flood struck. Blood and thunder collided in a monumental blast that shattered the clouds for hundreds of miles. The Blood River boiled—then was pierced through.

The storm crushed into the Blood Shadow Body, but at the last instant Blood Lingzi turned it ethereal. Much of the force passed harmlessly through, leaving only a vast hole that quickly mended as the surrounding blood flowed.

A breath of relief escaped him. "So, even your thunder can't destroy my Blood Shadow Dharma Body," he sneered.

Mo Yu, however, remained unmoved. With a snap of his fingers, another surge of thunder poured forth, repeating, over and over, hammering relentlessly.

Blood Lingzi grounded himself defensively, switching his Dharma Body between solid and phantom forms to deflect most attacks.

The duel raged violently, but the spectral observers soon furrowed their brows. Mo Yu's assaults, while fearsome, seemed unable to break through completely. If this continued, the battle might turn into an endurance match—one a Lower Earth Supreme could not win.

Boom!

Another wave struck, again leaving little effect. Blood Lingzi's cold laughter rang above the thunder. "Pointless! Are you truly so naïve? Must I repeat how useless this is?"

But Mo Yu suddenly smiled—a dangerous, taunting curve of his lips. "Useless? Are you certain?"

A flicker of unease rushed through Blood Lingzi. Looking down at his Blood Shadow Dharma Body, he finally noticed it—tiny crimson bolts of lightning threading through its veins like living serpents.

His pupils dilated. "When…?"

The blood‑colored thunder pulsed violently within, seething with demonic resentment. The instant he recognized the nature of that power, his blood turned cold.

Blood‑Demon Heart‑Corroding Thunder!

Mo Yu's voice whispered through the storm. "Explode."

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The Blood Shadow Dharma Body convulsed as a chain of internal explosions tore through it. Lightning and blood intermingled, spreading like a contagion. Every shred of energy he poured in was swallowed and devoured, the infection spreading faster than he could counter.

Horror twisted Blood Lingzi's face. "Those lightning bolts… they merged each time your strikes passed through my body!"

Realization hit too late.

Mo Yu had never intended to overpower him with raw force—the constant assaults had been bait to embed those sinister, blood‑colored thunders within his foe.

He frantically severed the link to his corrupted Dharma Body, preparing to rebuild it anew—

But before he could, a colossal hand plunged from above. The Heavenly Tyrant Body smashed downward, shattering what remained of the Blood Shadow Body entirely.

Then the thunder giant's fingers closed tightly around him.

Gasps seized every watcher. An instant ago, Blood Lingzi had stood unbowed as an Upper Earth Supreme. Now he was pinned in the palm of the Thunder Emperor, struggling helplessly as lightning flickered around him.

Mo Yu lowered his gaze, looking through the shimmer of electric light at his captured foe.

A faint smile tugged at his lips as his calm, mocking voice drifted through the storm.

"Blood Lingzi…" he said softly, "do you yield?"
