Chapter 373 - Family Drama

"Uhhh." Leroy looked him up and down. 'A replacement for me?' he thought. "Okay?"

"He's quite the Prodigy!" He said proudly, put a hand on the Young Man's shoulder. "Heh- Thank you sir." Coma spoke with a slightly cocky smile that did look strangely like Leroys

"Nice to meet you?" The Captain asked in a rude tone. "Leroy! Manners!" Reprimanded the Marine who held no manners of his own. Jack rolled his eyes and took a breath. "I'm tryin' to train him into being a proper Marine! Better than anything the Marines currently got!"

"The Marines are in a sorry state, and Coma here is the best I've come across among the Recruits! Choose him myself!" He declared with a grin

"Anyway- Fight each other." He said, waving his hand dismissively. The declaration was sudden and abrupt "Wait huh?" Leroy said with an inquisitive look, only for Coma to launch forward! "Soru!"

Coma leapt forward! Disappearing from the Sight of the Other Marines, fist reeled back in a tight ball, and thrusting his way forward! Leroy bobbing out of the way, weaving his way out of the many wide hooks! It was like looking in a Mirror, this was Jack's style of quick footed boxing!

Then in a surprise, that in the perception of the Captain was communicated like a firework going off, Coma gave a cross!

"Woah!" Leroy said, leaning to the side and dodging the outstretched fist from the ensign before reaching out, gripping him by the throat and slamming him into the ground with strength that caused the ground to quake, the Marines behind buckling their legs!

With a serious look Leroy reeled his fist back, but a noise cracked through the air! Jack slapping his hands together loudly in a superpowered clap causing everyone to freeze!

Jack held a dissatisfied look on his face like someone who accidentally messed up a step in a recipe

"Ugh…Alright. That's enough." Coma looked up at Leroy with a tinge of fear in his eyes. 'He's so fast! Even with all of those bandages! He really is the Vice Admiral's grandson…!

As a refresher-

Coma had been trained by Jack for a little over 6 months. By the time Jack found him on a Pirates ship where he was a basic mass number foot pirate. Coma had willingly gave himself up, pleading with the Vice Admiral who was 'going for a walk' and just so happened to also take down an entire crew by himself in seconds.

He was then Trained by Captain Louis Garrick, honing his body for months before answering the call to a pirate infested Island where he tested his skills with a kanabo, only for it to fail against the Pirate he faced off against. Being forced through building after building before taking the man down.

Leroy got up and patted himself down. "Well that was disappointing." Coma then rose to his feet as well, giving a groan

Jack folded his arms "Indeed it was. You, Coma, Have got to get to training more until your hands bleed! That was a poor display." Coma grimace with a scowl "Yes sir."

Leroy gave eyes to Coma, a slight frown on his face. "Don't worry. I'm sure even a marine like you can Catch up. But don't get it twisted. I ain't in a race with you, no matter what he thinks." The blunt response caused Coma to recoil. 'Seriously? Tch…A Bit of an Asshole…Fine whatever…' "Yeah and I don't need one either."

With a huff, Leroy slightly smiled at that. At least they were clear on that.

"God. I need to sit down." Groaned the 79 Year Old.

Minutes later, The Crew with Coma, Sinatra, and the Hero of The Marines himself sat at a Table. Leroy and Jack playing cards with each other. Specifically a game of war.

The silence was palpable as the sound of Cards slapping against the table followed by the Occasional sound of crunches from the kettle cooked chips from the pot that both took handfuls from

The Marines were still looking in cautious gaze. It was as if the only ones that were truly relaxed was Leroy, his Grandfather, and Sinatra. Even the Stoic Kale had a disgruntled look on his face.

"So, that Black Hair really did a number huh, kid?" Jack finally spoke, referring to the Pirate Mentor by the Name of Sparrow. "Even after everything I taught you that man spoiled and rotted your brain with all that Pirate nonsense."

"Did you ever stop to think about the kind of guy a man like him was?" Jack gave Leroy an accusatory look.

"Yeah, I do." Leroy twisted his face into a scowl. Knowing where this was going. "He's a good man who lives his life the way he wants to. And doesn't care about what others say about it."

Jack rolled his eyes, setting the Card game down, leaving it unfinished. Leroy followed suit. "No. He's notorious. He already had a 3.5 Billion bounty on his head when he landed on Goa. And now? He's got over 6 Billion. Just because they call him the Peacekeeper doesn't mean that he actually knows how to keep the peace!" Jack began to raise his voice

"Every island he commands is practically lawless and separate from the World Government! No matter how bad the Government is" Jack leaned forward. "That ain't know way to live, under some pirate." His voice was laced with disdain

Leroys gaze hardened. "You don't know anything about him! You always made sure to never even be near him when you were both on the Island at the same time."

"They're all the same Leroy!" He waved his hand dismissively. "You don't become one of the Strongest Pirates in the World by being some nice guy. He's one of the Four Emperors! The Yonko!" He declared with a raised hand for emphasis

Leroy wasn't given a breath to speak as all of the crew listened with intrigued ears. "The Four Emperors; Red Beard, Chamoro, The Matron Mother, and that Black Hair Sparrow. They all control territory in the Lawless stretch of the Sea known as the New World." He began to exposit to his grandson, having not told him beforehand

"And the New World's continued to be Lawless because of people Like them, and the Dozens and Dozens of other big shots that roam the waters in and near it! Even the Marines have a hard time getting a foothold there since the only person to have ever reached the End was that bastard Roger!" He leaned in further, hands on his knees. "Constant Conflict! War! Entire Islands being destroyed! People's lives at risk 24/7, at risk of Enslavement, Robbery, or flat out being killed for looking the wrong way."

"Thats the kind of people the Yonko are. And the kinda guy Sparrow is." He rolled his eyes again, giving an ill tempered scoff.

But Leroy didn't give in, giving his own angered scoff and waving his own hand the same way his grandpa did "Whatever! He's not like that! He helps people! Yeah he aint no Hero, but I ain't either! But he's got a good heart! If he didn't he wouldn't have cared about getting his arm crushed for me!"

"Or he wouldn't have helped me out when you weren't around! Where else was I supposed to learn about stuff? Mamtha sure wasn't very keen on certain subjects thats for certain!"

Jack grit his teeth and slammed his hand on the table, causing the entire thing to shatter, and then crack the floor. Causing Kirk and Jeanne to jump as everyone but Sinatra leapt from their seats "Gah dammit boy! You ain't listenin'! Pirates aren't some people to admire!"

"Oh here we go again…" Leroy rolled his eye "Yeah again cuz it seems like I gotta keep tellin' ya." But he was interrupted. "No shit! Ain'tcha read the news? I beat the hell out of Hornigold and almost every pirates thats ever looked at me wrong? Same goes for every Marine too!"

"Yeah, and I've had to get an earful from the Fleet Admiral everytime, cuz you're my Grandson!"

"Maybe everyone should Calm down-" Kirk tried to interject, but they were already in the heat of it. Noir putting a hand on the fishmans shoulder and shaking his head.

"Man, I wonder where I got it from." Leroy said in a rude and sarcastic "Watch it!" Jack pointed his finger to his grandson.

"Tch– You're just like me. And you're dad! In all the best and wrong ways too…" Leroy recoiled. "My dad? What's my Dad gotta do with this? I barely remember him before he fucked off and left!"
