The Hero Of The Marines
Falcon D. Jack
"Long time no see Kiddo." The smile was wide across the wrinkled face of the man as he wiped the dust from his shoulder. Placing the Flat Cap under his arm.
"WHAT?!" Jeanne and Raven both said in a shout. With the others popping in "Your grandpa is a Marine?!" Kirk asked, Raven chiming in "Not just any Marine…This Marine is known as The Hero of all of them. He's the Man that Captured Gol D. Roger!"
"Heh- You're pretty knowledgeable if you know his real name. But thats not important right now. I'm here for you, Leroy." The Marines outside were amidst themselves, discussing in confusion that The Hero of The Marines had a grandson, and that grandson was a wanted criminal.
Sure they shared a name, but when asked Jack never answered. And those that connected the dots never said anything. And on top of all that, Jack was simply known as just that to most.
"If you're here to arrest me Pa- It ain't gonna be easy…" Leroy tightened his fist. Staring down his grandfather.
"This is the first time you've seen me in, Months? And this is how you start? You could start with an Apology!" He said in a stern scold "You've been getting into a metric shit ton of trouble boy." Only for Kale to step forward and draw his sword.
"If you're gonna try and arrest our captain, you're gonn-" Kale was interrupted. "Stop! Don't even try it. You'd lose." Leroy said sternly. Causing the swordsman to freeze with his sword halfway raised.
"He could kill you in an instant…Even if he didn't have arms or legs, he could do it…He's stronger than any of you realize. I know that much from when I was a kid…" He spoke coldly, shocking the crew.
"Ha! C'mon now kiddo, Don't give me that look, I know I was rough with you. I was only toughenin' you up to become a fine Man! But here I am now thinking I didn't do just a good job."
Leroys gaze hardened. Causing Jack to roll his eyes with a scoff "Agh– Settle down son, I ain't here to take you in. At least not here."
There were seconds of trepidation before-
Leroys stern look slowly turned into a smile as he began to chuckle. "Hehah! It's good to see you Paw-" Leroy said, walking forward and giving his grandfather an embrace.
"Good to see you too Kiddo…" The two stayed in the embrace for a moment, Jack ruffling his grandsons hair, only for Jack to interrupt it by pulling Leroy away and grabbing his shoulders tightly
"Now explain why the fuck you're out here with a almost 300 Million Bounty!" His voice was loud and filled with anger. His temper, something that seemed to always be on a razors edge since Leroys childhood, getting the better of him
"Agh! Stop it! You know why! I didn't wanna become some no good marine!" The Captain said trying to wriggle his way out of the man's grasp to no avail
"No good!? Now I know I told you the Marines weren't the best but it's the best you got boy!" He said with a serious look in his eye
"Just le'go of me! I wanted to be free damnit!" He said as he finally got out of the Mans grasp. And stumbled backwards, Jack slamming his hand into his forehead.
"Ugh! You'll never learn will ya? I only wanted the Best for ya Cuz I love ya!" He said folding his arms with a scowl
"Yeah well if ya love me so much then why'd you always force me to be like everyone else!" Leroy shot back
"Like Everyone else!? Only the best become Marines! And I was making sure I taught you what I could, better than any normal kid on Goa!"
The two continued to argue in a heated back and forth. Leroy Loved his Grandpa, no matter what he put him through, or his thoughts and roughness of him. He could tell that the Vice Admiral truly did love him dearly. But at the same time, in his heart there was just so much about him he just couldn't accept. Couldn't agree with.
"They really are family huh?" Kirk said with a nervous smile. Raven speaking up "Yeah- It's like looking at Leroy as a different person…"
"Oh yeah? You wanna fight over that?!" Jack said with a sneer as he raised his hands. Leroy instantly knew what he was up to.
Leroy slammed his fist into his Grandpas palms, Jack in turn slapping the fist away and swiping his hands through the air for Leroy to dodge, and after a few swats Jack grappled Leroy
"C'mere you little shit!" He grinned as he locked his arm around his neck and digging his knuckles into his grandsons head. "Get the fuck off!"
"They swear like sailors…" Dezzi muttered. "Now I see where Leroy gets it from…" Noir let out a puff of acrid smoke, watching as Jack suddenly stopped with wide eyes. "Oh yeah! I wanna introduce you to somebody!"
Jack let go of Leroy as Sinatra, A tall fedora wearing man with black hair and a trench coat with a katana at his hip walked into the Nuff Wright building.
"Good to see you again, Leroy" The man spoke in a medium smooth tone. "Hey Sinatra" The Captain gave the Vice Admiral a smile. He knew Sinatra about the same amount that he'd known his own grandfather. Sinatra was in a way an Uncle to Leroy.
"It's weird to see him so casual with the Marines." Kale observed, finally sitting down, the other following suit with the Marines shifting cautious gazes to them.
"So why aren't we arresting them?" Spoke a Marine, Jack hearing them and reprimanding the man "Because, I give the Orders. And I say you're not to lay a hand on them. And I'm sure if you get too close one of em will take your life!"
He gave a sarcastic Grin. All these Marines were temporary. Almost every Marine put on his ship was cycled out in under 6 months. And then stories would circulate about how crazy the Hero of the Marines was. How he'd sit around and read all day, or smoke, or play cards while talking about stories from his hayday.
So it wasn't uncommon for marines to question the peculiarities of the Man
"Coma!" Jack yelled. "Get yer ass over here!"
The Vice Admiral lifted a finger and gestured a figure a distance away over to him. The entire building was surrounded by a gate and a courtyard. A few civilians trying to peak from a distance away. But the Soldiers at the Gate preventing them from getting too close
A silvery pale blue haired young man came running through the Crowd of Marines, standing at 5'8 with Medium length puffy flowing hair with a part in the middle like curtains.
He wore a high neck marine colored jacket that clasped together by folding over onto the other side of the jacket, a small bit left undone.
"Leroy. I'd like you to meet Ensign Coma. He's been the Young Marine I've been training the Past few months!"
