Chapter 342 - The Grand Judgment

"Wait! What are you doing?!" Iris said as she whipped her head around to look at Feall. Her eyes widened with fear as she saw the dozens and dozens of CPA agents began to invade the island, bursting into the Libraries multi meter tall doors, big enough for even giants to enter.

Gasps and Screams came from within. People were shoved and grabbed harshly, being exchanged into the hands of other CPA agents as the Agents began knocking books onto the floor, clattering harshly

"The Crimes you are accused of are extremely Severe. So we must be thorough." Iris didn't know what to do, she wanted to run into the Library and stop them, making them treat the items that the Island had worked for decades, no- Centuries to acquire.

"Be careful with that! That's priceless history you're dealing with!" It wasn't long before those in the Library were forced and herded out in front of the Grand Library, Men, women, and even some children and those between were forced to their knees as Iris. It was the staff of the entire Library, the Archivist, the Librarians, the secretaries. Almost a hundred people there.

Emmett held his hand gently over Raven's mouth. Preventing her cries to be heard as he too began to tear up in his eyes. Watching from the window, crouched down and watching. No matter what he did, raven insisted on watching.

"If you cannot prove that our crimes exist! Then you have no right to treat us this way!" She was furious, yelling as her fist was balled at her sides.

"We are well within our right to make sure that you are not hostile or interfere in our investigation. If your crimes are non-existent and prove false, you will all be allowed to go back to your books and your tomes."

The CPA were merciless in their mission against the Library, they tore open books, held no disregard for the priceless artifacts, sounds of ceramics breaking and glass shattering as they raided the entire Library.

Emmett finally pulled Raven away from the Window, and held her by the shoulders, keeping his hand on her mouth as he reassured her. "Raven, I need you to be quiet. But I need to tell you something okay? Can you promise me you won't cry until its safe?"

He said, head pivoting back and forth, hearing that their were CPA agents right out side the door. But they did not come in. More concerned with the Library itself than the 'office' that they thought the door led to.

"Don't ever stop learning. Don't ever stop reading. Continue what we did here okay? People will tell you that books are useless are nothing but something that the conspirator or the recluse partakes in. But by reading you become more attuned with the world around you. Learning makes you better. So don't ever stop reaching for that knowledge."

Screams and shouts suddenly filled the Library once again, causing both of them to jerk their heads to the door, eyes traveling across the walls as they heard the sound traveling.

"Sir! We've found something!" Emmett and Raven wandered back to the window to continue watching. Biding their time to know when it was best to leave.

"Feall! It's true!" A CPA Agent said, coming up to the Adjudicator and handing him tomes and pamphlets in an ancient language that could not be deciphered. The Member of CPA-7 was round faced and wore glasses. "We also found…" He hesitated, a trepidation in his voice. "A Poneglyph along with sprawling information of what we can only deduce to be that of forbidden research."

Iris stood silent, with wide eyes as she watched the Agents of Investigation reveal her crimes, all of their crimes, to the one that held their very life in his hands. "Very good. Thank you, Investigator."

"And thank you Professor, for being so passive in our investigation. But before I give my official judgment. You have to answer to The World Government for your crimes."

Feall snapped his fingers and one of the CPA-2 members hauled over a box in their hands. It was ornate with the sigil of the celestial dragon and the world government on its surface. He took it into his own large hand, and unclasped the lock on the front, exposing the fine fabric lining on the inside with a mechanical device on the inside, a speaker angled at an incline to face the listener, next to it was a funnel like cone that served as a receiver.

He clicked a button on the front, and then tuned it with dials. A voice coming through the other end. "Grand Adjudicator, what is the progress of your investigation?" The voice was old, but stern

"The Suspicions were correct. The Scholars of Tovara are researching the Poneglyphs, and have been able to decipher their contents." Feall spoke concisely

"I have the Head Scholar Azalea Iris here in front of me. Ready for you to speak to her."

"Good. Put us on." The voice commanded. Feall spinning the box in his hand to face Azalea Iris before twisting the dial on the front of the device inside and allowing the voices on the other side to be heard as well as picking up the Scholars voice as well

"Bide your tongue well, Scholar. You are now speaking to the Highest Authority in the World, The 6 Elders, The Rokuseiza." The weight of what was happening fell upon everyone who could hear what the CPA agent said. Iris' eyes widening as she breathed a baited breath.

"Azalea Iris." Spoke the voice of the 3rd elder. "We've heard well of your exploits on Tovara. And we of the Elders must thank you for your contributions to us. But your crime are severe. Researching the Poneglyphs are one of the gravest crimes one of your status could ever commit."

The 6th then spoke "You understand just what you have done for not only yourself but also your entire Island? A Crime like this cannot go unpunished."
