"Yeah. Leery?" Spoke the Heacton man as he ran from Rooftop to rooftop. A Radio in his hand. A Specialty device that was a rare sight to see. And were often only from one to one as opposed to Den Den Mushi. It was a large brick like device that had a mesh screen on the receiver and speaker. A Large coiled antenna coming out the top.
"Ships busted. They ain't gonna be leaving. Guaranteed they'll have to get a new ship. Any updates on your end?"
"No." Spoke a Monotone voice from the other side "However. With the new prospect, we may have a different way to approach our problem."
"Great!" The Heacton spoke back with a smile. "You're always so serious. You should lighten up, you know?"
"Over and out Tetra." Static buzz skilled the air as Tetra scoffed, stuffing the Radio back into his belt "That guy."
Raven walked down the Street in toe with Jeanne and Dezzi. They'd gone by a few shops and were quite impressed by all the types of variety that filled the city.
Her Inch heel clacked against the smooth cobbled sidewalks. Black and Knee high with small silver studs horizontal along the front end of them. She also wore a short skirt that came to mid thigh. Leaving her dark skin exposed between the boot and it. The corset she wore had bits of white accenting the lace holes while the man piece was black.
Raven also wore a thin strapped tank top underneath it with a skull across her bust. A cropped Leather Jacket on her shoulders, which sleeves ended in long lacey openings. Finishing it all off, was the fishnet gloves that reached her elbows. Her purple and white backpack over her shoulder.
"Hey Raven?" Dezzi turned and asked.
"Yes?" She spoke in that simple quiet tone.
"You haven't gotten any books yet? Why not?" They spoke, arms tight onto their own bag, which was filled with books
"None of them have really interested me. That's all." She gave a small smile back.
"Oh- Okay. I'm kinda surprised. We've gone by like- Four Different books stores. They all had something different."
The Doctor turned back around. Sticking close to Jeanne and Raven who stuck behind them. They had opted to wear their cloak again. A Thin hoodie underneath it as they wore their cloak more as a cape than anything. Long shorts as well as comfortable tennis shoes.
"I myself got plenty of nice books to read" Jeanne spoke putting her hand to her chest with a teasing smile.
She had chosen to wearing a simple tank top with a gear on the front of it. With baggy cargo pants and work boots. And of course her 'Sniper' Goggles on her forehead.
"Theres even a book Written By Tehertz! 'The Mind and How it Creates the World Around it' Should give great insight into his inventions!"
"Hey…Do you hear that?" Dezzi asked, ears twitching.
"Barely…" Jeanne said. "It must be the Celebration!"
"Finally! It must've started! Let's get going!" Dezzi said with an excited grin leading the way.
They had seen a few people in bathing suits and large complex masks wandering the streets. But they were only in small groups. They were a tad disappointed by this after the notion it was a huge celebration
But as the three continued jogging down the Streets next to the Canal. Only to suddenly be slammed by a giant crowd! Filled with people! Drums and horns filled the air do-do-dodo-do-duuu.
So many people wore extravagant dress and clothes, feathers and decadent colors, Mask of frowns, smiles, and even teeth and horns! So many had exposed skin, wearing just thongs for swimming, to one piece wetsuits that had a multitude of accessories.
In their hands they carried large guns that were filled with water in wooden barrels with hoses attached. Spraying people they came across.
"Hahaha!" Dezzi laughed as a spray of water splashes against them. Bringing their homes up to block it. "Look at that big one!" Dezzi said with a point
Coming down the Canal was a huge, giant float. It was elegant, dazzling lights as sparklers and flares lit up the now darkening sky. It was almost like Mar-Syl had been made into a float! Just as extravagant as she was.
People danced and sang across the float, Water spraying out of parts of the float and back into the canal. Spraying all that were near!
"Pshshshsh! Can this place get like- Any better?" Jeanne said as she pulled the bottom of her tank top and attempted to wring it out. The crowd moved around them.
"Heheh" Raven gave a small toothy smile as she wiped her face of the water. Thankfully she hadn't worn as thick of make up she had on Skyderia for the Celebration there.
She stood behind the duo a distance away. Watching with a smile as Dezzi had Rabbit like Binkies of uncontrollable excitability, bouncing around and basking in the water and the celebration
Jeanne was similarly excited as more and more Floats passed down the Canal. Some Cyan, Pink and Yellow. Others earthy colors. Some even had depictions of large faces with smeared red across their face. These were the faces of the once extremely rich members of the City that had been pushed out. But- Due to certainly regulations. They had to make it vague rather than obvious.
As long as it didn't mar the image of Nobles like the Celestial Dragons. It wasn't too harshly looked down upon
But, as Raven laughed and watched the celebration of water that was not only to celebrate their carpenters but also the recent improvements in their city, she felt.
A cold chill ran down her spine.
"Don't turn around" Something she couldn't tell touched the small over her back. Her smile dropped as she heard the next words spoken. Sweat cooling her as beads of anxiety ran down her face. True. Utter Terror
