Chapter 273 - Onward to The Next

It'd only been a day since the Crew had began setting sail for Wringly, at the Current pace, The Scholar and Navigator guessed that it'd take anywhere between twelve and sixteen days.

But, as always. There seemed to be something keeping the Crews attention.

"Dezzi!!!" The Captain suddenly shouted as he slammed open the Galley door

"Yes Captain?" They said calmly. Everyone on the crew had gotten used to the Loudness that the Captain constantly provided

"Yes Captain?" They said calmly. Everyone on the crew had gotten used to the Loudness that the Captain constantly provided

"Hm?" They said leaning forward. They ran their finger over the spots, thinking for a moment as they held their captain's hand.

"How long has it been like this?"

"It was like this in Skyderia, but it got worse when I came back down…It doesn't look like poison Ivy…" The Captain commented.

"Hm. It looks like Basic Eczema or Acne. But if you say that it was in skyderia, it was Probably the dry air up their that caused it. Is it itchy?"

"Nope!"

"Hmm. Yeah, seems like I said. Just use some Moisturizer and You should be better. Dry skin can do that. It's very common." They let go of Leroys hand, and without missing a beat, he leapt from the chair and ran out the door

"Thanks Dezzi!"

"Kirk! Give me your Lotion!" His shout was heard as the Door slammed behind him. Muffles of 'Don't slam the door' coming from both Noir and Kirk

*

A week passed.

And the crew was up to their typical business.

Kirk was Sunbathing after correcting the course to make sure they were on the right path to Wringly Archipelago. A Cosmo Cocktail in hand.

Jeanne was in the Crows nest continuing modifications onto a weapon she was testing. As well as continuing possible implementations of the reels that she'd gotten a hold of in Skyderia before they set off. Testing it's capabilities, like incandescents with metal, or with boiling water. The Exact temperature was hard to gauge. But being only on the yellow end. It was hotter than the stoves heat.

Raven was reading, a large sun hat on her head blocking the sun from her eyes while she dug into some research.

Dezzi laid next to Leroy as the two chatted about something to pass the time.

Kále was lifting hundreds of tons of weight. As per usual.

And Noir was in the kitchen butchering and readying some ingredients for the coming days' meals.

"Leroy?" Dezzi asked in the Middle of their Conversation

"Huh?"

"I hadn't seen you fight in Arabasta. But after seeing you fight in Thiya. It's been on my mind recently. Why don't you just, hit your opponent once and keep them down? Wouldn't it save you the time instead of throwing all those punches?" The Doctor turned their head and looked at Leroy. Ears gesturing in tune.

Leroy had to stop and think for a moment. Finger on his chin "Well…Hm. Uh- That's a good question…"

"I do it because it keeps my Shocks constant on my Opponent. But you don't have something like that." Dezzi said

"Yeah, that is a good point. But, thinking about it. If I put all my strength into winding up a big attack, since it takes longer to really put my all into it, what if they just dodge? And if it does land. What if it doesn't work? Like they put up a shield, or someone like Hornigold with a logia."

"Thats why it's more efficient if I take my time. Throw a few test punches. Or work my way around them, and go back and forth. Put more and more strength into multiple attacks and work my opponent down."

"That, and it's more fun to really let 'em have it even if they're weaker than me. It can be fun to just go blow for blow with someone! I'm sure theres plenty out there that share a similar sentiment."

It was the same logic as a boxer. Or any fighter for that matter. You dont always hit as hard as you can even if its all named attacks!

"Besides- Whats the point in wasting all your energy right away when the battle can be longer to guarantee a victor."

He continued to ponder and think aloud "Like- If you can make a fight go longer, and utilize moments of down time to recharge yourself. Why wouldn't you?"

Dezzi had a wowed look on their face "Yeah! That makes sense!"

*

The Rest of the Days past with nothing of real importance.

It was the same as any other. Talking, chatting, sleeping, eating. Noir trying new dishes. Kirk trying new outfits that were a bit more feminine and trying to hone his Atmo Style. Kale honing and sharpening his blades. Working out and training. Leroy testing his moves. Raven getting more and more comfortable with the crew. After all it'd now been months since she'd joined and really settled into place! Dezzi had some ideas for how to get stronger…And was working on them all the same! Still quite a ways from perfection. Jeanne smoked most. Coming up with Ideas.

That was just one of the Down sides sailing the grand line. It could be day after day of constant action and something happening.

Or it could be close to two weeks of nothing but smooth sailing.
