There was a low chuckle. "I don't know whether to praise your courage, but it's okay. If I'm not wrong, then you're here for the female, right?"
Star wore a bored expression. "A female human? The day I successfully escaped from here, was it a female that came? Whoever successfully plucks either of us from here, we become bound to them—forever theirs, their females for life."
"Who are you trying to twist the truth for? It's true that those are the rules, but you, having a special place here as the next Queen, know many tricks to avoid them. You can choose to end the male's life, make him a living dead while freeing yourself from the curse, or free him from any disadvantages and bear the punishment alone. Seeing you like this, you clearly chose the latter."
Star frowned. "And I don't think you have the time to be monitoring me," she remarked coolly.
