"Stop me if you wish, but this is the last time I'll show any of you mercy."
Asher kept flying ahead.
Behind him, the Council stood silent. They feared the universe produced a being who needed neither their recognition nor permission.
Angeline watched his distant figure.
He was leaving.
After everything she endured to bring him back, he turned away. Her golden eyes narrowed.
"I'm not letting you go."
The Dragon God glanced at her. "Angeline—"
"Council," she cut in, her voice carrying across the space"You want to know if we can stop him?"
She raised her golden blade.
"Then stop standing around. Show him what happens when someone threatens the order of this universe."
"Are you certain? He may be your creation, but—"
"I said attack."
Her aura erupted. Golden light spread through the space as she pointed her blade at Asher.
"Don't kill him. I want him alive."
"But if he refuses to listen, break his wings. Tear apart his defenses. Do whatever it takes to stop him."
