The fluorescent bulb flickered and hummed while police officer's interview room fell silent. The main eyewitness's recounting of the events confused the officer; he couldn't help but chew on a pen while his restless legs moved.
To him, this recounting was logically unsound, but every time he thought of the state of the hotel and the surrounding areas, he couldn't help but believe it was true.
*Creak!* The door opened, revealing a seasoned detective.
"Ma'am. I apologize for my tardiness, but I am Detective Micah." The detective softly smiled, shaking the eyewitness's hand. "Would it be okay to tell me what happened again?"
"We already have it on record." The interviewing officer added.
"I'd like to hear it from the source." The detective smiled, handing the eyewitness a can of soda.
"W-w-well. It started when-"

I was standing near the entrance, staring through the glass. The heavy rain outside sacked my team's plans for that night. We've all received our paychecks, and it was supposed to be a party night.
Not only that, there was an increase in customers. They were the tough-looking ones, and they were everywhere, at the entrance, at the lobby, and they've booked most of the hotel.
The manager and owner were aware that some, if not most, of these people were armed, but they didn't mind since they were paying customers.
I am sure that they were told that someone important was coming here.
"Here I thought this was another quiet night."
"It's probably a politician or some rich guy." A coworker of mine said, chuckling. I remember him talking about a big possible tip later.
I made sure to wear my biggest and brightest smile, adjusted my uniform to make it eye-catching.
*Honk!* A honk outside the hotel caused the men inside to gather at the entrance. A woman, carrying some luggage, exited the car, accompanied by several men who were holding big umbrellas.
It was a white foreigner with blonde hair, beautiful eyes, and a tall physique. I greeted her at the entrance, but she didn't seem to notice me and instead went up the stairs alone.
However, she stopped for a moment and turned around, looking at me. I couldn't quite hear her because of the heavy rain, but she apparently needed help with her luggage.
My expression brightened, sensing a huge tip, until my coworker cut me off and instead offered to help the foreigner with the luggage. I screamed internally, cursing.
(Fucking stupid, piece of shit asshole. I hope you fucking fall, stupid fucking welfare leeching gaywad.)
The foreigner quickly glanced at me but otherwise accepted my coworker's offer, disappearing up the flight of stairs.
"Fucking asshole," I whispered, walking out and heading to the restroom. I spent some time there to vent my frustration, and I don't remember how long.
*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*
Gunshots. Inside the hotel. Then the screams of agony, pain, and death.
I hurriedly exited the restroom and took a left in the hallway, remembering an emergency ladder. I climbed it as fast as I could, heading to the upper floors, not caring about anything else.
After some time, I arrived on the 7th floor as my arms and knees throbbed in pain. I was about to hide in one of the rooms, and that was when I saw my coworker, dead on the floor.
*Whaargh!* I puked my insides while hurrying to open a random door. This room was also booked by the men below, but they were gone. I managed to catch my breath inside until.
*Wham!* The wall exploded, briefly spotting a young woman wielding a medieval sword. She saw me, and I saw her while a huge man who had smoke coming out of his body approached her.
They then exchanged some blows, and they were fast, like very fast. I could barely keep up with their fight. I then exited the room, hitting my sandal on a pile of debris.
"Agh!" My sandal cracked while my toes bled.
*Wham!* A door was sent flying behind me. I saw the foreign woman exit while holding another dead body. This time, it seemed like an older one. It was pale, naked, and stiff.

"Could you describe this body?" The detective interrupted, raising a finger.
"Well... It was bigger than the woman, and it had a hole in the chest, like it was hollowed out."
"I see, continue."

I screamed, limping away as fast as I could until I bumped into a gloomy-looking man who was holding two fire extinguishers. He didn't even glance at me; he was glaring straight at that foreign woman while biting on a blade as several other blades floated behind him, pointing sharply.
After another wall collapsed, I crawled away as fast as I could. I briefly turned around, spotting the gloomy-looking man shine for a second, then he disappeared, leaving a gust of wind.
At this point, the ceiling was completely gone. The heavy rain was seeping in, drenching me. I saw two figures fighting above, the other one had two long blades, while the other one had a huge rifle.
I didn't know what was happening; all I knew was that I should leave. Heading to this floor was a mistake, and as I was about to enter the elevator that arrived, it opened. *Ding!*
Two young people, a male and a female, were inside. The whole elevator was red, blood was everywhere on it. I collapsed on the spot upon seeing all the gore.
The young man, who seemed like a student, approached and helped me up, smiling politely.
"Go help Terrence with that woman. I'll help Sniper up there." The young man ordered the purple-haired woman, who eagerly smiled while producing a huge scythe out of nowhere.
"Ma'am, you shouldn't have seen all that."
That young man turned and said to me, smiling politely while covered in blood. I thought that was a threat.
*Whish.* I couldn't help but relieve myself; I thought I was going to die. Then, I remember a chuckle from him while lifting the bodies away from the elevator with nothing but some hand gestures.
The young man then held my hand, slowly guiding me to the bloodied elevator. Those eyes of his, he was glaring at my figure, but he then quickly averted his gaze.
*Crack!* We've heard a crack above us and noticed a huge crystal of ice with the rifled man encased.

The young female employee paused in the recounting, quickly gulping down the can of soda.
