She went into the kitchen, while Su Baijin was outside. She wondered if he felt bored, but it was up to him, and he hadn't offered to come help in the kitchen either.
Qin Xiangnuan took out the fried meatballs she prepared, made braised meatballs, stir-fried vegetables, sautéed mushrooms, and stir-fried shredded potatoes. She set aside some of the dishes in the pot to keep warm, saving them for Jian Zhiqing, not knowing when he would return.
She brought out the remaining dishes and placed them on the table: four dishes in total, plus an egg soup. After all, this was Su Baijin's first meal at her home. She couldn't be too frugal, though she often prepared plenty of dishes, so she didn't need to scramble for ingredients.
